Is this in response to the guy who said you painted plague City look like poop? Or the other guy who didn't understand why torment was all dingy and depressing when it's supposed to be hell?
While all adventurers fear journeying to the hellish wastelands of torment, they are mesmerized by the vibrant elvish landscape of blissful, where the colorful trees and flourishing gardens are nothing short of an inescapable paradise. Love these jeremy.
This is like building pieces with my nieces and nephews when they were younger. I really miss those days. There are large sheets of reindeer moss that you could use as a table top base for the rolling hills of the feywild.
Love this! Sometimes people get caught up using the most fancy and expensive terrain stuff but forget about having fun. It can be great to just play with whatever you can find and get creative. Thanks so much for the feature, Jeremy!
I'm loving the current crop of 'back to the absolute basics' videos by some of the guildmasters - reminds us that it doesn't need to be perfect. And now for a quick trip to the nearest dollarama for supplies . . . and someone already beat me to the 'Dollarama needs to sponsor you' comment
They look fantastic and fun! I love the details the flowers and different types of moss added to the build. And the snail shells were an EXCELLENT addition
Gotta say, I love how happy you sound throughout this video. You really seem pleased with how they turned out and that enthusiasm really bleeds out of the video and makes me want to make an excuse, any excuse, to craft something like this!
They look awesome! Those snails to me look like they could be organic lamps that live on some of the trees. Sometimes going into a project like this is exactly what the soul enjoys, and it's always so refreshing.
Great timing on this video! I am looking to building some Feywild terrain in anticipation of my group wanting to dig into the upcoming The Wild Beyond the Witchlight book and this was the perfect inspiration to get that started. Also: thanks for sharing that little story about your first "build" and the family memories behind it. My mom taught me how to sew when I was a kid and even though the historical costume stuff I make now is miles away from what she had in mind when sharing those skills with me, I appreciate how that part of her lives on through every project I do, and I'm sure the same is true for your Dede.
I live down in Fargo, but I have a friend that makes regular visits up to Winnipeg. Thanks to you I am fairly regularly making him add extra stops on his trip at Dollarama. 😂
Love the color on these! Definitely encourage "otherworldly". You seem to have a blast every time you do it. I mean, I know your thing is kinda the 50 shades of black thing, but these little builds just light up the table, especially in contrast. They don't have to be fragile either. The underdark stuff you built some months back should be pretty durable, for example.
Loved this. I love watching you 'play' and enjoy the process of creating. Your delight with these pieces was tangeable and infectious and wonderful to watch.
Fellow Dollarama crafter here, they know me by name there now. I could plot where in my local store each item was as you pulled them out the bag... I know where I'm going tonight. Sick build bud!
Genius!! Excellent idea. Heck, I never would have thought of doing that . . . and with no paint! Looks like a trip to Dollar Tree is in my future! Just remember; take nothing for granted in the Feywild.
I don't know if it's good to hear this or not, but I always love these themed sponsor builds. You clearly make a point of opening yourself up creatively, and it has resulted in some truly spectacular builds. I'd be hesitant, and it's very refreshing seeing someone do it in a different way
Thanks! I’ve always tried to approach sponsorship integration in a way that’s a net positive for my own creativity and for my viewers. So it’s nice to hear this.
Wow. That is really super vibrant stuff. Definitely not something you'd want for "regular" terrain, but very inspired for a Fey scene indeed. Great finds, and great work!
Finally I get to know that this strange plant that I love to use, is called raindeer moss. :D Thanks! And these are great pieces! Using natural stuff, especially unpainted is very cool!
I can identify with making stuff with your grandfather. Mine had a little sheet metal shed that had to be about 120° F (about 48°C for the rest of the world) and contained every tool you could think of. I seemed to be about the only person he could stand to have in there for any length of time, and we had a grand time making all kinds of crazy stuff.
Nice work buddy - It's always a lot of fun to make something a bit different. For one thing it can refresh the creative impulses (as we all know, this can come and go without warning) and also gives us the chance to try out new materials, skills and techniques...
I like picking up the spherical plastic plants at Dollarama, taking it apart and clipping the leaves off to use as folliage in other projects. Typically something to do with my hands while watching other videos, like this one :)
I wonder how those sheets of reindeer moss would work for doing the roof of a witches cabin, or a hermit's lodge out in the forest. They seem to have the right aesthetic and are fairly easy to glue down to a solid surface; plus they'd probably fit right in to the sort of deep-forest-hag-vibe thing better than thatch or shingles.
Great video as usual. :) The colour of that moss really seals the deal! When I saw the thumbnail I couldn't help but laugh! My brother and I purchased almost the exact same trees at Dollarama probably a decade ago for the same reason: cheap terrain! So, needless to say, I was tickled pink to see something similar was still being sold and still useful to tabletop gamers ^_^ (The only real big difference is the ones we purchased had only the tree and some plaster in the pot instead of stones - which we were able to soak & easily pull out to give our mom the pots for plants and there were "large" deciduous fabric leaves we could remove)
Desk-iny, I hope to take multiple trips to my local dollar stores / dollar general. Like every video, these have been inspiring and encouraging. Thank you!
A great video again! Did you know, that there are a lot of images in mediaval books showing snails, often depicted on trees, fighting against knights? So it could be a surprise for any RPG-group.
Those look great. I see packs of this kind of stuff at work and think about picking up some for the future but was never sure what I'd use them for. Now I know! Great video!
>tfw Black Magic Craft uploads in your birthday Yea, this one's a banger. Those pieces look awesome and I love the sheer simplicity. Just goes to show, once again, that restrictions really do brees creativity. Thank you for sharing these with us.
I've had some luck hardening the stringy mosses with modpodge on bases. They do tend to be a bit fragile on the ends, but if you wanted to add some rigidity to it, you definitely could. As long as you're careful in transport, they would hold up find on a table, and anywhere they do break tends to look pretty natural and doesn't ruin what you've made.
OMG this bag of goodies is almost exactly the same as mine after my last trip to Dollarama. The only thing different was the big shells and the trees. I have not got to use them yet as I'm not that far along on my project but thanks for the ideas. I'm going to have to look for the trees next trip.
OH YEAH! Now your speaking my language! Don't get me wrong, all your work is fantastic, but this is my JAM! Now I want to see forest city, when your done with plague city maybe???

Bro I have a project idea. Make glowing sigil of, necromancy, destruction, protection, etc.
Here’s a project idea, build some terrain like it’s the world of Jumanji
Whats the opposite of Grimdark? Gladlight? I like this good vibe terrain
Gladlight sounds like a trash bag company started making a very questionable product…..
You should coin a term for this
As i recall, the opposite is supposed to be "Noblebright" but i don't think that fits this build much :P
Hopeshine?
Sunshine Sparkle!
At this rate, Dollarama should sponsor one of your videos :P
A Dollarama-Diorama!!!
@@OverkillJOE1 diorllorama?

Coooooool! Loving the colors and lighting in the talking head clips
Holy shit, verified comment with no replies
Easy to see why a quick cheap paint-free project would appeal after your last massive expensive ruined sci-fi city.
True!

OMG - I haven't finished that list of videos...ruined?! No!
LINDY!

That's a beautiful story about you and your Baba and a great example of how we can take people with us even if we're apart.
Love this! Sometimes people get caught up using the most fancy and expensive terrain stuff but forget about having fun. It can be great to just play with whatever you can find and get creative. Thanks so much for the feature, Jeremy!
I applaud your willingness to let us get a peek at how you started crafting. Thanks for sharing that part of your journey.

_THIS_ is the type of build I love to see. Easily accessible and great table appeal. Reminds me of your older videos I first fell in love with.
"Never use enough color"
Bruh that's why I like your builds and paint jobs so much lol, grimey dirty and dingey grim darkness is my favorite!
I love these. I hope you do more of them. Like the Torment world. The world of Feywild needs to grow.
Gotta say, I love how happy you sound throughout this video. You really seem pleased with how they turned out and that enthusiasm really bleeds out of the video and makes me want to make an excuse, any excuse, to craft something like this!

Rock on Jeremy! You always manage to find ways to keep pushing your crafting limits. Definitely a weird build, but enjoyable to watch.
I was shocked when the intro pic popped up! So much COLOR! This was great fun. Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful and refreshing, J! Thanks for sharing, mate! 💐💐💐
I'm still very much a novice at painting so I appreciate stuff like this where painting isn't required
This is totally my kinda thing. I can totally see myself putting together a little diorama like this.
Very nice! Digging the cheap bonzai trunks. Keeping my eye out for those. Looks like the Feywild is ready for a Nurgle incursion!
Super cool! Its like the Moors where Maleficent lives!

Wow!! I didn't know you could even see pink and purple. 🤣🤣 These are great, Man
very cool, nice out-of-the-box project but my favourite part was watching you play with the mini at the end! haha
Totally dig it! Nice scenic detour from the zombie nurgle decreptitude highway of death and decay
This just sent me down a new path for some terrain transitioning from the feywild. Thanks, mate
this is like a nice palette cleanser between your grimdark sci fi jaunts, love it.
got a bit further and dannng those look great
These are super versatile! A few slight tweaks and these could be alien terrain, too!
Really nice. I plan on making a fairy garden for my daughter so this sort of terrain would work really well in it

you remain my go to for terrain inspiration. another fantastic video.
Trent from miscast gave great tricks to make plastic leaves look great in his mendragore video. Great to go with dollarstore build.
They would look great in the center of your other pieces as a "oasis of color" or magical garden in a grimdark world or something
Definitely gonna have to go out and get some of that reindeer moss, those colors are incredible.
I love to see folks just having a great time, being proud of themselves and their work. Awesome vid! Love the crafts!
