    One of the reasons torches work better than a heat gun is it's actually carbon dioxide (oxygen vacuum) that is helping to pull the bubbles up and pop them rather than just the heat. Something I learned from the instructions included with my woodworking resin pours.

    Cool! Very cool idea for a collaboration. My wife bought me a big bag of cork just like that for Christmas and it has been a game changer, perfect for cliff faces as you say !

    One of the best things about collaborations is that they push everyone to making something cooler than they would have alone! I love that you decided to kick it up a notch!! This five part project is so much fun to watch!

    With the title like this, I was half-expecting Voiceoverpete to pop up in the intro and say something to the effect:
    "Attention, all adventurers! Feywild has been infiltrated and corrupted by a dark wizard. Help unicorns and their friends to save their home by subscribing to this channel."
    I really like the corall-like trunk of the tree. A good way to make something to feel otherwordly.

    What nests in a corrupted tree? Stirges, that's what. And witherweed grows up it, and yellow musk grows near it, and there's entangle spells going off nearby. No need to thank me.

    • @notreallydavid
      @notreallydavid 3 роки тому

      And branches can animate bad-temperedly, and if you lop them without burning the hack-site you can find two new nasty branches suddenly growing from the site of injury (because the cambium layer is pissed off).
      Parts of the tree are undead, and have undead-type attacks and attributes (stink, paralysis etc). Not sure what turning them does.

    • @notreallydavid
      @notreallydavid 3 роки тому

      After the main adventure a monster appears - bit like a huge shambling mound but less wet, and covered in weird plant / tree growth. Monster insists his master still lives, and wants his stuff back or there'll be a fight. This is an illusion created by an opportunistic nearby leprechaun. If the party take the 'monster' on and things go badly for the green lump, the leprechaun will lead the party away to his gold stash to delay them while he runs. The stash is proected by colour spray and prismatic spray (rainbows!) - not mechanical traps, these, so hard to detect.

    I work with all types of resin. Best way to get rid of bubbles without heat is ISO in a small spay bottle. It'll pop everything on the surface without mixing into the resin. (Water will ruin resin)
