I had a lumpectomy 18 years ago. Recommended chemotherapy .Had one dose and nearly died from it. Ended up in hospital and was so ill from it. Despite all the negative comments i got when i refused further treatment im still here. Everyone has a right to make their own decision regarding how they want to treat their cancer ❗️
I absolutely love the controversy Elle has created. We put to much faith in a medical system 100% controlled by big pharmaceutical. I commend her on seeking another solution opposed to pumping her body full of chemicals and massive doses of radiation. GPs are trained and hogtied, specialists even more so. There are other methods people.
So glad that people r doing their own research and doing what befits them!
I love it too. I'm another who refused chemo, was told I would die if I didn't have it. I went away, researched, put the research and faith into my battle. I'm 9 years clear, a pensioner and pretty healthy 🙏🕊️
Why angry? She has survived 7 years. How many after chemo survive that long.? If her treatment worked why condemn her.
Because big pharma (and those that own big pharma) run the media and lobby/control western world governments so you are not allowed to be seen to contradict big pharma ‘treatment’ you must be demonised and/or ridiculed.
Ironically it feels like those people in good mourning are mourning someone with their own mindset!

Many survive (after chemo) to live long and normal lives, as I hope to. There are many factors to consider- the womans age, cancer stage, type (some more aggressivethan others, is it homone based etc ) please do your research before making an insensitive comment in regards to the people who are making tough choices to save there life. ❤❤

It's entirely her own choice. For some patients chemotherapy affects the quality of their lives quite badly. Also if she has been told she needs chemo then the cancer has already metastasized. Chemotherapy would only slow the inevitable down. Sounds like she's made an informed choice for whatever reason.

If the cancer had metastasized, then she would have had more than a mastectomy. Unless, that was also recommended and she decided on just doing a lumpectomy instead. I think if she had advanced cancer staging and avoided mastectomy and chemo, she is a certified 7-year miracle case.
Did she do the Herceptin only? Did she forgo that also? Or am I gonna have to buy Elle’s next book to find out?
It’s up to her what she decides to do with her own body. It’s her responsibility to deal with the consequences of her own actions just like it is for any other individual. She is not responsible for any other person’s decisions. I am tired of people trying to shame adults for making their own decisions about what happens to their own body. I say shame on the people on this show who are trying to shame her.

Ive known a few folk who have had cancer and did all the 'right treatments' like chemo and they are all dead. So maybe Ella has a point.
Conventional therapy is highly toxic and usually will result in death eventually due to massive damage to healthy cells and thus further cancers triggered. You’ll never hear this as cancer is HUGE business.
Keep down that rabbi hole you will find she’s not the only one it’d a personal choice not sure why she being attacked oh yes she has a voice folk may listen to if we started looking after ourselves and maybe not getting so sick the powers that be wouldn’t make money if death illness and fear mongering. Interesting though. The Lumpectomy was a surgery, which is pretty standard for her condition. Still doesn't change the fact that in her case chemo wasn't necessary.

There's been a study that shows that if the cancer has metastasised that patients who didn't have chemotherapy lived a few years longer on average with a much better quality of life.
So she has a point in regards to how utterly toxic chemo is to the body. But if it's an isolated cancer then she's better getting rid of it before it spreads.

The cancer industry is making sure thses tv shows go against what Elle has done. They are really scare more people will follow more hollistic therapies, thus getting into their huge profits.

"No clinical trials to support alternative treatments", I wonder why? As someone who tried to investigate alternative treatment at university and the backlash that occurred I know why. If you do research to back up big pharma or the current "best practices" you are patted on the back and helped all the way.
Under the cancer act 1939 it is a criminal offence to offer or even suggest alternative treatments or to research.......I guess that's why cancer research hasn't done anything to reduce the levels of cancer, as we know there's more than ever. If I ever get it I can say right now I won't be taking the poison
Trials have been done on alternative therapy but they provided mo evidence of working.

Levamisol was used as an adjuvant with 5-fluorouracil in colon cancer trials in 1984...survival improvement was demonstrated... But the use of levamisole never became std of care... The same applies to cimetidine... These old off patent medicines don't fit with the balance of revenue generation

Lumpectomy is VERY different to chemotherapy etc. Miracle that’s these drs don’t call the police and force you to have chemo. I haven't read Elle's book, but clearly she put her faith in something other than radiation and the current therapies. Ideally she would believe in GOD and His ability to heal her. I'll have to read it & find out.

As I am a cancer survivor good on Elle….Elle has the right to chooses what treatment she wants everyone else can just mind their own business
WHAT SHOULD BE HAPPENING: The presenters are amazed- they beg to know what she did and demand that research happens into this possible cure for cancer. their eyes are swelling up with tears of happiness as they know the horrific affects of chemo.

I think everyone has a choice of their own and should be respected for whatever that is. Out of curiosity though, if you were in the same situation as her, sought alternative ways, and it didn't work and your illness progressed, would you by then seek traditional medical help?

You are confusing the US with the UK. Drug prices are regulated in the UK. You have no idea how fortunate you’re with your cheap prescription charges and many of you are entitled to free prescriptions. Drug prices are not regulated in the US doctors are highly motivated by profit.

Although I think each on their own has a right to their decision, there is this problem that when/if the natural path doesn't work and there is progress in the illness, most will probably desperate seek traditional medical help. Then there is advanced illness which will need other, more advanced treatments, more time consuming and perhaps more costful ones, is that ethically right? As that for one could make someone who took the traditional route to begin with, not able to have their treatments as planned, due to not being as urgent as the one who took the failed natural one?
Are these people actually mocking and putting scorn on a woman who had cancer and recovered from it because she didn't want an often debilitating treatment that can make your remaining days unbearable and excruciating?! She says she is in remission, but for how long? We have seen in the past with other people who say they are in remission only for their Cancer to come back years later and then unfortunately they lose their life!
She refused the treatments and went for a holistic way which in the long run I don't think will work out!

I believe that I don't get there by being a good person, but by relying on God and putting others before me, this means things such as instead of trying to 'stop the boats', trying to tackle the reasons people want to flee their homes and take such risks in the first place. Those of us who are parents know the reality of watching our kids make choices we know may cause them pain in the long term, but not being able to persuade them to change their course of action, God has the same problem on a much larger scale!

Steve Jobs initially chose alternative treatment for pancreatic cancer. He had treatable level of pancreatic cancer and by the time he waited and then started treatment it was advanced and it took him. We have free choice here but beware it’s not always wise to wait.
