Oh look, even if she was late stage, I wouldn't JUDGE anyone for their choices - I can't imagine the fear experienced by people diagnosed with cancer. I'm WORRIED about anyone who refuses medical treatment, but there's no negative judgement in that. The only thing that would change that is if they start proselytizing to other cancer patients and telling others to reject treatment. If they're not doing that, let people make their own choices about their own treatment.
@@inkygloves5197 ehhh it's a fine line if you ask me. People are people, and celebrities get to be people too. Anyway I'm not sure how influential Elle McPherson is these days.
She is 7yrs in remission, she did what worked for her body and it’s evident it helped her. Sure, rejecting conventional medicine is not for everyone, but since it helped i think in the end we should celebrate that life is being lived. In the end, we all make the choices best for us.
My DCIS was Stage 1 at age 68 when I found a lump when doing my monthly breast exam, and I both take a chemotherapy pill daily but I also use alternative methods.
OK fine. maybe that should be clearer because she presents as if this is viable for breast cancer generally. people need to be very careful about this. oh, and also she has vitamins to sell. coincidence?
Elle MacPherson’s decision to go alternative with her breast cancer treatment is making people angry, and here’s what I think the public and media are getting wrong. There’s a lot to unpack here-I posted a longer 3 minute take on alternative treatments over on IG - instagram.com/tarynsouthern.
Thank you for explaining this in a way people can understand. Most people really don't realise how many types of just breast cancer there are, never mind all the other types that are across the whole body. Each individual is different and each individual cancer is different. While a certain treatment might work for one person it may not work for another. It really is a version of trial and error.
She was lying, 32 doctors did not recommend chemotherapy and radiotherapy to someone with stage zero cancer of her type. She needs publicity to sell her retirement project.
32 (THIRTY TWO) doctors advised her to go with conventional treatments. I hope she does beat it with her natural therapy. The jury is still out though.
I'm curious as to why Americans pronounce her surname like that. She's Australian, and for us Australians it rhymes with 'person', which is a word you also have - so why don't you also say it so it rhymes with 'person'?
That is impossible. The second the government gets involved you lose all control. As a disabled person I can firmly state you don't want the government taking care of your medical needs...small example for woman under Medicare you only get to see an OBGYN once every two years and step foot in that office one second earlier than you qualify for and it becomes 100% out of pocket...you cannot take anything from the government without them demanding everything in return.
I would have done exactly the same. The radical recommendations by these radical doctors was crazy. A non invasive, pre cancerous diagnosis does not merit such aggressive treatment. We all know that radiation is what kills people many times and not the cancer.

I agree, but I do think that you have a duty as a public figure to set a good example for those who might look to you for guidance.

Good for her!
She was right.
Anyone pissed off is a very suspicious character.

Her body Her decision
Never recommended chemo for DCIS, I had this exact diagnosis. Radiation and hormone blockers are standard protocol.

Good to see you posting again
Good to see you doing well❤
It’s her choice what she wants for herself. People

Thanks for that great explanation. I wish you and Ell the best of health, love and blessings ❤❤❤❤❤

I agree. I was stage 3 and definently needed or the treatment. Elle didn’t and people aren’t understanding that.
Steve jobs tried it, too stubborn for his own good

Great explanation and I appreciate your perspective and reasoned, rational response.

Let her make her own decision. Big pharma doesn't need to get involved in everything.
Absolutely!
Exactly
She had a lumpectomy and didn’t need chemotherapy
Her body her choice right?
How are you, Taryn?

Government should not be involved in your Healthcare but it should fund it.

Payment IS involvement. Goofy take

It’s because Elle knows that those therapies do not work.. Don’t Judge 🤔Do the Research🤩
I will judge her. She is wasting the best time to get rid of cancer at least for some time, risking it growing bigger.
Fasting is the cure
