Little do we know it, the things we go through just to save a life one day, making sure we get A's on every test, every class. We push ourselves through a lot to get to through the end result...and little do patients know how hard we try to get to actually care for them...
@xxthunderbird46xx yes, we had to take speech, humanities, psychology, growth and development, and english (these were technically 'co-reqs' but most people do them before because it raises your point level to get in to the program) along with a math, anatomy, physiology, pharm, and micro.
Thanks for all the useful advice..you rule Heather! Just a quick question; did your school make you take psych, sociology or any interpersonal speech classes during the pre-reqs or were they optional? ok, maybe that question wasn't a 'quick' question :P Happy New Year
@lilmegs2010 you learn about different kinds of bacteria and how they inhabit the body, we learned about gram stains, gram - and gram + bacteria, antibiotics, the krebs cycle, in lab we were given an 'unknown' bacteria and had to use several different techniques to find out what it was, it was really fun
10 pre-requisites?! wow. How long does it take to complete them in an ideal situation. Because I have heard that many courses aren't readily available so it can cause delays. But how long would it typically take to complete that many courses?
ahh my school requires, anatomy, physiology and micro for nursing pre reqs and alongside before taking these classes we have to take general bio and chemistry.
