Congratulations! I graduated this May and I am about to start working as a ICU nurse in TX, Now I am a RN, BSN. I moved to USA to become educated, I had to learn English and take all the prerequisites. I did all in 5 years. It was a very hard journey but with God and my husband help it was possible. It's is hard but not impossible.

Then you're not really living. You're holding yourself back. And we only get one life to live. Nobody is born a genius or a nurse or a superstar. We all learn on this journey called life. This was very encouraging. I’ve been a medical assistant for 4 years now so I’ve done EKGs, draw blood, give shots, ear lavages and prep medicine for the doctor. I do a lot so I have a lot of experience but I finished all my prerequisites in October of last year with an overall gpa of 3.5 . I just took my TEAS last Friday and did above the required minimum so I’m having faith that I can continue to further my career. I’ll be 28 this week. I’m like you, I’m just proud that I’ve even done this well and came this far. Now I’m just hoping for that acceptance. I know I’ve put in the hard work but like you said, it can be very competitive. Congratulations though I wish you the best on your journey! I will come back with an update.

Just know you'll need to develop a thicker skin because the things you'll see/witness might make you freak out or make you want to cry. However, it will be so rewarding!!! When you'll be studying and having a bad day, or you feel as though you no longer have the strength to go on, or someone pissed in your Cherrios, you need a push or a pat in the back, etc, look at those screenshots because they'll help you! Most importantly, write down (in your phone and/or a piece of paper) why you want to become a nurse. What are the true reasons for you wanting/needing to go on that journey. When you'll feel as though you lost your way, look at those reasons and it will give you a new wind to keep on going. I moved from Jacksonville Florida to South Dakota in 1997. I found employment at a company called Dakotabilities where I assisted people with cerebral palsy in their DLA's where I was working on getting my CNA license. After leaving work one night a drunk driver made an illegal U-turn in front of me across four lanes of traffic on a one-way. X-rays determined I had whiplash and 3 discs near the base of my skull are still pressing on my cervical cord. It ended my chances of getting my license because of the demands of the job.

40 yrs ago, nursing was a trend in the Philippines up till now! During my time, we produce thousands of nurses every year!!! We celebrate reunions at home and abroad! Just know you'll need to develop a thicker skin because the things you'll see/witness might make you freak out or make you want to cry. However, it will be so rewarding!!! PS: Just a suggestion: Take a screenshot of all the uplifting and encouraging comments you get and put them in different folders in your phone (folder names like: uplifting, encouraging, Strength Needed, etc). When you'll be studying and having a bad day, or you feel as though you no longer have the strength to go on, or someone pissed in your Cherrios, you need a push or a pat in the back, etc, look at those screenshots because they'll help you! Most importantly, write down (in your phone and/or a piece of paper) why you want to become a nurse. What are the true reasons for you wanting/needing to go on that journey. When you'll feel as though you lost your way, look at those reasons and it will give you a new wind to keep on going. It'll especially remind you why you started this journey in the first place. 👍💪💪💪💜💜💜🍀🍀🍀

I'm so stinkin happy for you, girl! 🎉🎉🎉 It really does feel like you're meant to take this path that you're on! As a "retired EMT" I personally know how difficult the material can get. You're doing amazing! I left the job when I was 8 months pregnant with my first daughter and am now working towards my bachelor's in healthcare management while staying home with my two daughters. You are not only the depiction of humble grace but also a beautiful inspiration to all of us trying to further our education. Love you so much, girl! Can never get enough of your vids, especially the vlogs, but I've really been loving your videos regarding being a student and what study/planning methods work for you. OMG angelface I could not be happier for you. I know you worked very hard for this. This undoubtedly is the reason life has become what it is now. Moving to your beautiful new apartment and pushing you forward for the wonderful adventure ahead of you. You still have a lot of work to do and I'm wishing you the very best. I moved from Jacksonville Florida to South Dakota in 1997. I found employment at a company called Dakotabilities where I assisted people with cerebral palsy in their DLA's where I was working on getting my CNA license. After leaving work one night a drunk driver made an illegal U-turn in front of me across four lanes of traffic on a one-way. X-rays determined I had whiplash and 3 discs near the base of my skull are still pressing on my cervical cord. It ended my chances of getting my license because of the demands of the job.

40 yrs ago, nursing was a trend in the Philippines up till now! During my time, we produce thousands of nurses every year!!! We celebrate reunions at home and abroad! Now, the world was awakened because of Covid!!! Many Americans now go to nursing school, and the same is true with the rest of the world!

It's so inspiring to see you pursue nursing, you seem genuinely happy! I'd love to see nursing content. I always wanted to work in the healthcare industry and my degree was in health and social care but that path didn't work out for me job-wise and i ended up becoming an english teacher lol.
