Thanks for the help and that added troubleshooting for locked games etc at the end. Was trying to find out why my games were locked for my GF's ps4, it was because my account had been deactivated on her PS4.

Ok so when this happens make sure you and your friend have primary PS4 on eachothers ps4s so for ex your friend will have your account as primary and you have your friends account as primary and remember every now and then to restore the licenses the servers arnt perfect and will mess up sometimes

Both have to be active for both to access the others content Only one account has to have ps plus but if you have a credit card or money on your PS4 it will automatically renew your ps plus when it runs out so in settings you can turn this off to save money by sharing ps plus

You cannot transfer games between different accounts. Also since you downloaded the game it can't be returned anymore. Your best option would be for your friend to gameshare the game with your account.

You have to go into his user and account and activate your ps4 as his primary, and vice versa for his ps4. Then go onto his account, go to the store, go to library there and you should see "purchased" and you'll find his games, start the download and go back to your account and it'll work. After that only one of you need to pay for psplus (TO PLAY ONLINE) If you want to add the free monthly psplus games to YOUR account then you still need to pay for psplus yourself. Hope this helps!

Though once I created an downloaded the game, and switched back to the main account. I could not play them on the main account. Is there a way to fix this. Did I miss a step?

The person you're sharing with has to use an alt account while your account is active. You can use your main account to play with them on your PS4.
