Videos were new at this time. We didnt need a wild video, and everyone was so talented, all was needed was the musicians and their instruments and a " lets gooooo." And we went.
This video was shot on the Mississippi River in New Orleans, the building is one of the warehouses right on the river. The girl was a student at Tulane University at the time. This is one of the warehouses that burned down right after Katrina.
Also try "Dont. Stop Believing" also by Journey. Steve Perry was mega talented and took extreme care of his voice. They now have a new vocalist. I dont remember his name but he sounds just like Steve Perry.
One of the greatest bands of all time they have hit after hit loving touching squeezing/stone in love/ don’t stop believing/ any way that you want it and so many more!
Hello, beautiful! If you liked this, you can't stop checking out Journey live in Houston 1981. That show is spectacular. Greetings from Tandil, Argentina! 🇦🇷🤗
"Interesting bass"...it was a Steinberger...they were fairly popular in the early/mid 80's. For example, if you look up Rush videos from the mid-80's, you'll see Geddy Lee playing one. He started playing one after he used Rickenbacker basses and before he switched to Wal basses. (Side note: I know someone who has three Steinberger instruments...and, yes, it might be me.)
I don't remember much from the early 80's... good times.. when you hit the hairband Era you're gonna be in a whole new world.. start out with some Steelheart..
Written by Steve Perry and Jonathan Cain. Being a San Francisco native 🌁, I grew up with Steve Perry as the lead singer of Journey. Cain joined in 1981, replacing the retired Greg Rolie. Journey broke up. Steve Perry went solo. Schon and Cain formed Bad English. Ross Valory and Rolie formed The Storm. The current lineup still has Cain and Schon. The current lead singer is Arnel Pineda. Schon discovered him , singing in a band in The Philippines 🇵🇭. Suggested videos 📹: 1 Arnel Pineda and Morissette Amon sing I Finally Found Someone. 2 Bad English performs Straight to Your Heart 3 The Storm performs I've Got a Lot to Learn about Love 4 Steve Perry sings Foolish Heart 5 Journey with Steve Perry perform Don't Stop Believing.
Being a songwriter, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist myself, l think Journey was a great band with great musicianship. I personally had the opportunity and good fortune to meet and talk to the Drummer Steve Smith in person at a drum seminar. Very nice guy.
Modern Drummer once voted Steve Smith into their top 25 drummers of all time. I agree. The guy he followed, Aynsley Dunbar is an absolute monster, too.
Someone put a side by side video comparison of NEMOPHILA doing Journey's Separate Ways with Journey's official music video. It's funny how accurate NEMOPHILA got to the Journey music video. Millie, I think you'll really enjoy it.
Journey is one of the best bands to come out of America. They could blow the roof off of any auditorium they played. Steve Perry was a BEAST! His voice was unforgettable.
Good high energy song but definitely check out more Journey to get a full picture of the band/Steve Perry's vocals incredible. vocals. Next I suggest thier songs Faithfully, Mother Father, Open Arms and more. You wont regret it. Steve Perry sounds amazing live he doesn't need any vocal filters or autotune garbage.
Journey had 3 albums before the release of "Infinity" and the introduction of Steve Perry. Try something from their 3rd album "Next". Don't get me wrong, Journey with Steve Perry is great but it will show you the contrast of the direction they took. Personally, I prefer the first 3 albums. I did get to see them in Toronto with SP just before the release of "Infinity", awesome show!!!
I don't think Journey has a bad song. They're all really good to great. Their music stands the test of time. You want to go down this rabbit hole. Steve Perry has an amazing voice.
Do a Reaction to Journey and Lead Singer " Steve Perry " Don't Stop Believin " Stone in Love " Girl Can't Help it " Open Arms " Who's Crying Now " Mother Father " Escape " Stay Awhile " Steve Perry is none as ( The Voice ) he is one of the Best if not the Best Singer in Rock History.
You have much more Journey to experience on your musical journey. And you don't talk too much... it's a reaction channel, after all. Without your comments it would be a "watch me watch videos" channel, and good luck claiming fair use then! 😂
Black Sabbath with Dio Lady Evil “There’s a place just south of Witches Valley Where they say the wind won’t blow And they only speak in whispers of her name There’s a lady they say who feeds the darkness It eats right from her hand With a crying shout, she’ll search you out And freeze you where you stand”
Have you seen the NEMOPHILA cover of this song? They took a lot from this Journey video. Someone put the two videos side by side. It's so funny how accurate NEMOPHILA got to the Journey video.
As many will point out, Steve Perry’s nickname was “The Voice”. And he deserved it all the way. I recommend saving comments until a song is over, as the two audio sources clash.
Millie they have a Filipino vocalist name Arnel, that singer they have is the great Steve Perry, the original keyboardist back then was the great Greg Rollie the voice of Santana...
How Steve Perry was dressed is how we dressed in high school , I graduated in ’84
Videos were new at this time. We didnt need a wild video, and everyone was so talented, all was needed was the musicians and their instruments and a " lets gooooo." And we went.
Journey is a rabbit hole you should definitely go down, Millie! You won't find a single song that isn't a banger.

Steve Perry has one of the best voices in history. Very talented

When a GenZ'er grooves out on a 41 year old classic tune you know there 's a huge hole in good music from today's era.
Greatest band ever!
Of course you like it,it’s Journey.
I like when she says 'definitely'; it sounds good 😄
The video was a very new thing at this time...

Such a great reaction! Now that you've seen this video you need to react to Nemophila's cover.
You have much more Journey to experience on your musical journey.

Amazing! I've always known the song but never know the name lol.
The only thing you need to know about Steve Perry is that he's called the "VOICE" for a reason! To me his greatest song is Faithfully.
There is sooooo many covers of this song, but you HAVE to check out the Dan Vasc and Exit Eden Covers. Simply amazing!
Have you seen the NEMOPHILA cover of this song? They took a lot from this Journey video. Someone put the two videos side by side. It's so funny how accurate NEMOPHILA got to the Journey video.

REACT JOURNEY STEVE PERRY - "MATHER, FATHER" LIVE IN HOUSTON
Have you covered Queensryche “Eyes of a Stranger” or Whitesnake “Still of the Night”? If not, you’re welcome!
You should also react to NEMOPHILA's cover version too
This song was made before we knew what awkward meant.
Steve Smith plays cross stick very well
He plays great air drums in this video, too. I laugh every time I watch it.
Nice reaction! React to Tommy Johansson " Separate Ways" He plays all the instrument by himself. Regards: Lasse
This song is pure genius. I'm done with your channel for not understanding that
Mi favorita de Journey es Open Arms
You're so silly Millie. That was short version. Try the album version.
Try the new trending vids of MISSIONED SOULS BAND "Dangerous" by Roxette. This BAND came from the Philippines. I'm sure you will be amaze
Hello there hey there hey Hello hi
I love the song but the video was soooooo Velveeta cheese. 😂 You can't go wrong with Journey though.
As many will point out, Steve Perry’s nickname was “The Voice”. And he deserved it all the way. I recommend saving comments until a song is over, as the two audio sources clash.
I’m glad she liked it. But I don’t know how much she actually heard because she was talking the whole time. Hopefully she’ll go back and listen to it.
Try To Hell With the Devil by Stryper.
Great song, less than great video.
The music video cuts almost a minute off the song.
No disrespect but you talk too much, otherwise a good channel.
Agreed
Millie they have a Filipino vocalist name Arnel, that singer they have is the great Steve Perry, the original keyboardist back then was the great Greg Rollie the voice of Santana...
She yaps so much does she even understand what any of the songs are talking about?
Luv your vids, but you talk over the vids so much lately. Maybe just pick certain spots to talk during vids?
Mi amor pero si quieres hablar por lo menos párale al video corazón critica constructiva
Are you aware of the old adage "there's a reason you have two ears and only one mouth"? I doubt you even heard 50% of this song🤔
Millie!
You talked too much!
Yeah. Keeps saying she's enjoying the song while talking over 60% of it. Pause to talk.
Great song....But CORNY VIDEO!!
I remember watching it on MTV in '83. Loved the song, but thought the video was kind of silly. Nothing to it.
talking too much, LISTEN
