    I'm still struggling with many perimenopause symptoms. This is horrible feeling. Please help me. my ObGyn said no words about perimenopause. He said "no, it's too early for you to have menopause" (I was 45 that time, And am 47 yo now)

      @NoviePermana write down all your symptoms and see another doctor you know your body well so do not give up. The balance app by Dr Louise is amazing there's a community of women on there who helped me get my medication. I'm 43 and in perimenopause have been going through all the symptoms for at least 6 years. Good luck 👍

      Women as young as their mid-30’s can start perimenopause. I started at the age of 44 and finished at 52. Perimenopause is the years of fluctuating hormones leading up to the one day of menopause. Menopause is the one year anniversary of having no period. After that day, you’re in post menopause until the day you pass away. So you are not too young to be experiencing perimenopause which is fluctuating hormones. A lot of doctors are clueless when it comes to menopause.

      @@crh251Yes, true. Even the obgyn.
      May i know what's your peri-symptoms? And how did you manage them?

      @@NoviePermana, I started having broken sleep at 44. That was my first sign because I was such a good sleeper. Then a couple years later I began getting hot flashes and night sweats. At the age of 50, I put on 30 pounds rather quickly. Then came the heart palpitations and joint pain. I dealt with all of it by healthy food choices, supplements and exercise even though I was exhausted.
      Six years into post menopause I was still suffering from broken sleep. I couldn’t function anymore. That is when I decided to get help and saw an OBGYN who knew about menopause.
      She put me on an estradiol patch and oral progesterone. Both plant based. In less than a week, I began sleeping again. I’m still on them 2 1/2 years later.

    I waited 3 weeks for a phone appointment with my GP to discuss MHT for perimenopause symptoms only for him to tell me that he only prescribes after your periods stop and he will have to do some research to determine if he is willing to perscribe them before menopause. I cannot tell you how disappointing it was to know that he was so uninformed and didn't bother to do research in the three weeks between setting the appointment and the appointment. My next appointment is not until next Thursday. I'm so worried that he won't actually look into the latest research and deny me any treatment. I can't keep living this way 😩

      Please update us after your appointment. I hope he does his research and provides you with the care you need. I hope he gets you back to feeling like you again. If he denies you doctor shop. Find one that will listen and then act. Praying for you dear.

    I’m confused. I’m 53. I had a partial hysterectomy in 2012. I do have my ovaries. I’m having atrocious hot flashes, thinning hair, depression and my doctor just recommends natural stuff. I’m soooo frustrated I don’t know what to do!!!!

    So HRT is not as strong as birthcontrol?
    Asking cause I couldn't take any birthcontrol they all made me sick..

    • @nicolemerz1731
      @nicolemerz1731 3 місяці тому +5

      Birthcontrol is way way stronger doses (I think I remember sth. like 10 x stronger, all synthetic and worst of all: completely non-bodyidentical (which means the molecules don't look the same, so they don't fit like "key into lock" and thus may cause all kinds of side effects). Modern HRT is BODYIDENTICAL so that the body cannot distinguish between hormones that were produced by your ovaries and those replaced from outside. It is healthy to replace missing hormones if they are bodyidentical because the hormone deficiency after menopause (just 5% of your former levels left - less than a 60 year old man!!!) is just not healthy. Nobody would say don't replace missing thyroid hormones or insuline and stop replacing them after 5 ys maximum and then see what will happen to you. It's a shame how women are gaslit... and the reason is the old damn 2002 WHI (flawed!) "study"!

      Birth control pills are much higher doses than menopausal hormone therapy. They are also a different type of hormone. The best menopausal hormone therapy is estradiol and micronized progesterone. They are both plant derived and your body recognizes them the same way they did your original hormones.

    Very interesting but what if you are on birth control pill consistently (no breaks for endometriosis) & you have peri symptoms, cog fog, short of breath, palpitations, fatigue, rage, sleep issues, hot flushes etc and you have ruled out additional thyroid, heart, emotional issues- is this a case of too much oestrogen?? Would love some resources about this as I can’t find any about endometriosis & menopause 🤷‍♀️ 💚
