You know I cannot miss any of your Elvis acquisitions. Impeccable Blue Hawaii {both RCA and Victor} pressings. I don't mind those flimsy covers at times Jeff. As long as they are glossy. Some of the UK flimsy jackets last a lot longer than the regular cardboard jackets because of the flex. Now did any of the Blue Hawaii pressings come with alternate tracks or different track order? Really nice copy of In the Ghetto. Is it common on that press to have the hype on the jacket itself instead of the outer plastic? Excellent additions Jeff. Thanks for sharing them~ Rob/Boston
Hi Rob. Running order and number of tracks are consistent with the original release. I do love the glossy covers. I used to slip in a thin piece of cardboard with the sleeves for extra support. Not any more. Just a little extra care in handling. I have never found a copy of From Elvis In Memphis with an actual ITG hype sticker. I always presumed it was placed on the shrink, but perhaps some releases were on the actual jacket. As always, it's great hearing from you, Rob. Have a great week! Cheers
Hi Jeff! Nice haul of vinyl you have there, especially the Blue Hawaii LPs! Last year I bought an original 1961 Japanese Blue Hawaii and upon putting on my turntable, I found it to be warped through the first song. Fortunately, I didn’t pay a ton for it, but still was a bit disappointing. The German label has alluded me, but I’m hoping to add it to my collection soon! Great video!
Hi Mark. Ahhh, that would certainly be disappointing. I'm not sure how much of your acquisitions are in the wild, but practically 100% of my Elvis purchases are online. We can only hope and trust sellers are honest with their grading and wise with their packaging. Thanks for watching and checking in. Always great hearing from you. TCB! Cheers
Say Jeff.... One thing about Elvis is there's so much Elvis he can keep you busy for a lifetime.... I picked up a couple of nice EP 45s of his recently. My Sister loves the Man. LOL
He sure can, Bobby. The original EPs are getting harder to find and of course prices move north as they dwindle. The cooler mornings must be great for fishing. Hope you're doing well.
Hi Jeff. Thank goodness that first package came in a sturdy protective record mailer! The traditional white record mailer of old would’ve never survived that brutal beating and Elvis would’ve been singing the blues in Hawaii lol. Glad your record was ok. Those are three beautiful Elvis acquisitions, Jeff. Congratulations! That record title 50,000,000 Elvis fans Can’t Be Wrong gets more use from me than the record itself. It’s become an old saying for me because in addition to Elvis it applies to so many current things. My two favorite Elvis records are A Date With Elvis and His Hand In Mine. I could pretty listen to any of his records and enjoy the hell out of it. He was such a talented entertainer! The condition of the records you purchase is stunning. Enjoy! Steve
Hi Steve. Very nice to hear from you. Like E, I would also be singing the blues, but not from Hawaii if the records took an unfortunate beating. His Hand In Mine was my first ever Elvis record. A $2, OG VG++ mono pressing from a garage sale. Of all Elvis' recordings, it may be his best overall vocal performance from start to finish, imo. Gospel dug deep with E; also my favourite genre/style he sang. Have a great week!
Lovely records, Jeff. I have a very small Elvis collection, but I do have a copy of the 50,000,000 album still in the shrink wrap! Very nice additions.
Thank you, Curtis. I have a few packages coming in the next couple of weeks, but after getting the first, I had the itch to share. Best of luck looking for your turntable replacement. TCB!

Hi, Bobby. Thanks! I've always enjoyed Japanese pressings, their sonics and packaging (OBIs, inserts, etc). Cheers!
