Enjoyed your reaction and yes there were separate people for each part played. Ren wrote the entire musical score except for the dramatic piano opening which is from Edvard Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor, a brilliant choice. Most impressive to me is the fact that he is rapping to a piano for most of the piece and how in sync they are. I understand that Ren was miked to Charlie Woof-Byrne, the pianist who played for most of the video so he could hear Ren and adjust his playing. Another bit of trivia, the one cut, which you correctly identified, was to move and protect the lavalier microphone from the rain machine. Just love this video and can’t wait for Ren’s next creation.

Awesome reaction. Ren has extras so no wardrobe changes. And there is only one cut in the video and it happens when they spin Ren around in the wheel chair in front of the string section. There's an awesome behind the scenes making of Money Game Part 3 from a rector named Wolf Johnson that Ren invited to record everything and it's awesome seeing Ren practicing how he accomplished everything they did in this video.
The string section is playing the chorus from Money Game One and Two. It does sound absolutely amazing played with the strings.

It was funny when you were trying to classify the music. Ren once called his style Bardcore and in this case I think the music is that too. Ren is playing in his own lane because he is willing to talk about stuff like this while acknowledging his own desire for a #1 album or making enough money that he won't have to worry about how to pay for his medical treatments anymore. In Ren's vision of where we should be no one would have to worry about how they would pay for medical treatment. He understands it's a balance.. he just hopes we stop listing so badly.

Yep, stunning piece of work again from Ren, a story mostly about how nurturing can go wrong! Nope, no costume changes, notice how everyone remains in place. You'll recall Ren handing over piano duties at the start, his replacement then plays live throughout the rest of this one take. You spotted the cut, necessary to bring in the string quartet and remove/move his lapel mic, since he removes his jacket a short while later. Jacket probably removed to avoid a soaking since I think he only had one jacket if more takes needed!

I'm not sure how I missed you before, but I just now found your channel. I'm basically obsessed with watching Ren reaction videos and I've seen literally hundreds of them this year. I really enjoyed your reaction here, nice job. New sub, I'll go back and watch your Ren reactions in order.
From the UA-cam description for the video: "Song written, composed, arranged, and performed by Ren." According to Amy Shafer, LRSM, FRSM, RYC, in an analysis of the song on her "Virgin Rock" UA-cam channel, the very beginning is based on a piece by Edvard Grieg. In an interview Ren said he wrote the piano music, but could not, himself, play it all. He said parts of it, he created with midi and the classically trained pianist Charlie Wolf-Bryne, the second pianist completed it.
Also in an interview, Ren said that he wrote the music for the string quartet, and its based on the music from Money Game 1 and 2, and the quartet worked with him on the arrangement.
Also, from interviews with Ren, and also with Co-Director and Co-Producer Samuel Perry-Falvey, you identified correctly the single cut in the video. Ren said they had to do that, because of money and time constraints, in case something went wrong with the "rain" sequence. Ren only had the 1 suit and also they wouldn't have been able to get the floor dry for a re-shoot after it got wet during a take. They finished very late at night, although you're the only reactor to mention that Ren looked tired.
If you watch the rain sequence again, you'll notice that the viola player (according to the credits) to Ren's right gets a little wet, she makes a minor movement to protect her bow. The bow did get wet, and Ren paid to re-string it.
You would really like Ren's live performance video "For Joe." I didn't see it with a quick scan of your playlist. Ren recently wrote it and performed it outdoors overlooking Calgary, where you may know he's receiving clinical treatments. It's a keyboard piece and combines elements of Ren's works "Su!cIde," "Freckled Angels" and others. It's: "Ren - For Joe (Live Performance Video)." It's here: ua-cam.com/video/ebX5ZvrT6-o/v-deo.htmlsi=NbLdYNnMyYeNJiEd
Sorry this is so long. (edit): Also, on re-reading the comments I do see that parts of this are duplicated in other comments, my bad. Thanks again. 🙏

I think we should create a system where we get to choose what our taxes fund. We should be able to delegate funds into the areas we deem appropiate. 5% social housing, 15% schools, 10% public healthcare, 10% infrastructure, 10% investment into green energy aso. But I understand and agree 100% on the way our tax money is spent. Nothing is ever better or fixed and we’re just taxed on our taxes and taxed again. Just lies and more lies and corruption. I’m tired of it too.

Taxes are not the problem. In fact taxes are actually an amazing tool. The problem is how your taxes are used, not the taxes per se. Here in Portugal without taxes people would just die because they cannot afford healthcare. I am working as a volunteer in a small community and we have the senior director who is 86 yo and has to take 4000 Euros of medication every month. Minimum wage here is 680 Euros... And there are thousands of people in the same situation, plus families that cannot pay school etc ..
So, as you can see if your taxes are used as they should be used they are a good thing. Socialism in a nutshell.
One of the biggest empire of history, the Roman Empire, invented taxes and used them to build roads and aquedutes that are still used today.

Then that gets taxed again when you spend it on product and when you sell product, your property and taxed again in steps along the way. That is a huge problem right there, it is legal theft. Then you go into the problems you mentioned, the other half of the evil. The bloated tiny elite at the top get it all and decide your fates while holding it all. This would quickly devalue all money already in the system, because more and more dollars would represent a fixed amount of resources. Ren was not referencing any particular person in this . I missed the MG theme in the strings myself. The BTS by the Wolf Johnson is realkt interesting and showed how the magazune switch was done on the gun. Nice reaction.

Yes, he composed it all (even the parts he musically was incapable). The best thing to do is to watch the BTS video by Wolf Johnson, on Wolf's channel and I think on Ren's by now. It's utterly fascinating and really makes you understand the breadth and depth of his genius. 🌈ᥫ᭡

Loved your point about him always showing the duality of who he is.
Ren composed the music (except the bit of Grieg he used at the start), much of it on things like midi because he isn't capable of playing it himself, though he plays some piano and a bit of cello.

I'm told the start of the vocals came from Jenny and Screech, then he morphed into the money game theme.... After that, it was all money game.

Not quite. It was, "If you manipulate the data then a lie will sell itself," but close. I think he's referencing a mix of British and USA politics and life.
So many people act like they live by themselves on an island, not realizing that we are interdependent. I was taking a walk through a park in Vegas several years back, when I had a conversation with someone who said he was a factory owner (in Canada, no less). He hated unions and thought it was his *responsibility* to pay his employees as little as possible, since he felt that he was best at using money. If that man is reading this now, I still think you are what I said I thought you were. You would be nothing without other people to do your work for you.
I found your reaction to be very thoughtful. I wish you well and hope your life improves and you can get all the massages that you want.
    Sincerely,
    A masseuse.

Good call on the reflection of Ren in the piano fallboard (had to look up what it's actually called). It's definitely intentional on the part of Sam and Ren, since the camera pauses there. You're the only reactor I've seen who pointed it out. Mirrors, reflections, dualities are a constant theme in Ren's music and videos. When we talk about being in the Ren rabbit hole (an Alice in Wonderland reference), it might be more accurate to say we've "gone through the Looking Glass" instead. 🙃

This is not a one-take but a one-shot with only 1 cut behind the wheelchair. Ren says it himself say in this video - ua-cam.com/video/FGTC1abjwcE/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared&t=3135 around 52 minutes in.

What do you think tax is for in principle? From each according to their means, to each according to their needs. We’ve tried systems of philanthropy, we even have tax incentives now to give to charity etc - that doesn’t work. That’s why you need a system which organises it to re-distribute the wealth to offset the inevitable inequity which capitalism leads to.
We don’t have a perfect solution but we know there are better ways than the unfettered rampant capitalism experiment that America has been running with - at least if you measure success on the basis of people’s happiness and the sustainability of it rather than absolute “growth” (which is skewed by those at the top doing well while the majority suffers) - and that’s social democracies.
In multiple studies over multiple decades, that system has shown itself to lead to the happiest overall citizens. You have people paying much more tax than in the US but happy to do so, because they see the money is being used for good, you have people with access to healthcare that isn’t dependent on being a slave to the wage, with mandated holiday pay, with generous maternity and paternity pay, with a penal system that focuses on helping people become better citizens when they leave, not making money for the people running it which incentivises treating people like animals and actually encouraging recidivism and locking up ever more of the population etc.
We know these systems are not perfect, but they are MUCH better than anything else. But America has had more than 100 years now of its people being programmed to reject any notion of “socialism” out of hand because it threatens those at the top of the tree. That’s why what Ren says rings true to me - it’s too late to fix things with the older generations, but we have to start with the next - or at least, we have to stop indoctrinating them to be dedicated capitalist machines like Jimmy - living a “successful” but hollow life simply chasing “mine mine gimme”.
We have to teach kids the value of community, how to seek happiness - and I think first is to realise that politics, money, national borders etc are all just human inventions and they can ALL change. They HAVE to change or else we, as a species, will probably not survive.
There is work to be done reinventing society and it will take generations, but we can make a start by looking at the systems that work best now - and learning from them, learning that pure rampant capitalism is failing us, it’s an experiment well past it’s time to give up on - and stop the knee jerk rejection of the notion of socialism (not communism, not authoritarianism - but democratic socialism).

Credit to @ChiefReacts! for being the only reactor I've heard who mentions that the violins are playing the melody that is hummed throughout Money Game 1 & 2 (right after the line "We're all part of this whole money game") and in Money Game 3 (hummed into the mirror just before "Let me tell you a story.."). Even Knox Hill didn't mention it, but Chief picked up on it immediately. I point this out only because it's a pretty strong clue that Ren conceived the string music. Great reaction - sorry about all the people who are letting you have it for the costume change comment. Consider it a testament to how strongly some people can relate to Ren - it makes them feel as if they created the work themselves and are therefore entitled to be offended by every misinterpretation of their art.

    Lets get a bit deeper.
"Jimmy comes in out ot the rain..."
A reference back to "Rain, rain, rain, rain, a storm it comes our way"... Started in part 1.
Ren wad wearing the poncho, protection, as he represented (imo) "the system".
The point that the guitarist ("us") gsins as you said "a face" or sight/ awareness, allows us to become aware of thhise contrlling the system at which point there are 2 choices.
    They burn us
    Or
Having lost anonymity.... (control/ protection ... The Poncho)
...,They burn. (I would think he means revolution)
    .
Its about their control, our naivety, our willingness to "go with the flow" when "theres no left, theres no right"... They ALL work the system while "in the middle, we sleep"...
    .
    .
    Just btw, for context.
Have you listened to "Won't get fooled again" by The Who?
    .
If not, you should react while MG3 is fresh.
    .
Written 53 years ago, it speaks on the same subject.
    .
"The parting on the left, is now a parting on the right...."
    .
I have a feeling Ren knows it well, he has covered their songs with The Big Push.

I liked your reaction and I loved your rant. To me you were authentically trying to think through a societal issue that none of us have an easy answer for. I appreciate that there are other people concerned with this, and who ask the question of what we could do differently. Incidentally I answered a (UK) government survey recently and said I thought the biggest issue facing the country was inequality and the divide between rich and poor. When asked what we could do about it I spoke about how the system is rigged to be this way but if we could incentivise the rich to contribute to poorer communities AND build bridges between the two worlds it might be a start.
The thing you said about your dream made me start in my seat and go back 😧 I'd love to say your prophetic ☺️ but what might be more likely is you shared similar ideas represented by a common symbology we're all consciously or unconsciously aware of - you've probably heard of the collective unconscious if you know Jung. Pretty cool either way.
Sorry for the super long response but Ren provokes so much thought and then your response provokes mine and we can can connect, and I think that's the beauty of Ren. He brings people and ideas together because he so beautifully and poetically expresses our shared humanity. Thanks and peace 🙏✌️

Go back to the line in Money Game 1.
"Turns a Saint into a sinner, a child into a killer.... His finger on the trigger....."
    .
    Jimmy was that child (imo)
    .
If Ren conceptualised this episode years after 1+2, then weaving in the story of Jimmy and recounting that line was genius.
    .
I wonder if the idea of that child being corrupted to the point he paid the ultimate price was always in Rens' mind....?
    .
Have you noticed that Ren does this a lot, referencing a line, or a character from one song in another?
