Since u are new to her, b4 Gigi Vibes became popular, they were a party/wedding band. When the pandemic happened, they had no gigs bc the lockdowns in the Philippines was extreme, as in everything was closed down for a very very long time. They were broke & depressed, so they decided to do livestreams on UA-cam & FB from a garage, 3x a week for 2-3 hours, taking song requests. They slowly gained viewers, & 3 yrs later, now have over 2 Million subs. They moved out of the garage into this new studio late last year. Most of the videos on their channel are part of their livestreams (like this one) with a handful of videos that are studio versions. They are in the US now doing an 11 city tour & will go to Canada in May.

@@TheHonestTake there's no link to the livestreams. They choose the better performances and then upload the songs individually on their Gigi Vibes channel. They don't do livestreams anymore. They did that for about 3 yrs.

THIS is how you do a cover. Close your eyes and listen because Gigi sounds just like Hayley Williams. Gigi even puts the nuances of almost "chewing" her words. But without going gimmicky or hoaky. Shout out to the band too, as always, they just murder this because Paramore, musically speaking is a hard to cover. So we grew up not listening to certain things because it's not what you are. but look at what's happening over there, all the kids grow up to karaoke singing old school songs where if it was here we'd get laughed at. I think covers are a double-edge sword. Covers helps original song become even more popular but at some point if they are better than the original people will actually prefer the cover.
If you wanna hear her true vocal range in rock, check out their “All Time Rock Hits Medley” performance. The band likes to put in their own spin in the accompaniment, but it’s always tastefully done. They’re a versatile group.

This is my least favorite cover that GG did. Personally, I like her cover of Fly Me To The Moon & House Of The Rising Sun (she reminds me of Kim Carnes in that one) the best. Full disclosure: they almost always do their own version of most songs.
Gigi is way better artist than Hailey, she is more versatile with different Genre, there are a lot better artist outside the US than the typical american mainstream.
