Dude took his hat off and placed it on his heart. Showing respect. As a Marine combat vet, I'll keep that in my brain. Although, you didn't have to, you did it anyway. I didn't have to join the Marines. But I did it anyway. That little gesture, means a lot. It makes our sacrifice worth it.
ooh rah
@@JDWilliamsPDSemper Fi Til WE DIE!
As a daughter of a 30 year Vietnam vet (Air Force) and mom of 2 sons in active service (Army & Marines), I thank you for your service and sacrifice. We, the Patriots of the USA, will NOT let y’all down. Thank you, sir!
@@lisaneff5297 my grandfather, Karl Kazhe, was a Vietnam vet. One of the first enlisted to fly. A bomber pilot. Flew the A-6 Intruder, test flew the F-14 Tomcat. Among other jets. YOU. . .are VERY welcome, Patriot. We'd do it again, in a hot minute!
Thank you for your service to our country and supporting our land and our people. God bless you!
He brought me to tears and I'm not even American.
It's nice to know there are still people showing respect to our National Anthem. Much love .
Y'all nailed it. This is the greatest country ever in history. The American people are not the American, jacked up, corrupt government.
We are the last bastion of freedom. My family served and some gave it all for our country. Yes, pull together people. We are in this together!
From a veteran, thank you for removing your hat. Means a lot.
THANK YOU!!! Taking off your hat immediately almost got me wound up right from the start! So many ppl have no respect these days, so I appreciated that immensely!🇺🇸
I'm not even American, I cried with the power and pride for country.
United we stand...divided we fall.
I'm an Englishman and I was moved to tears. M'Fcker's all soul.
Chris envokes a reverence...music spiritual, hence why music is amazing. Good reaction!
Chris Stapleton is an incredible singer.
Chris Stapleton is a beast! He is his own genre. “Tennessee Whiskey”, “I Was Wrong”, “Cold”, “Fire Away (must watch official video) just for starters 😊
First time seeing you guys, and I got to say everything you said was spot on! The way you said it was well thought out and very well said. Thank you very much and God bless America.
all i gotta say is "Id rather go blind" by Etta James
FINALLY CHRIS STAPLETON!! The only rule I have for you is any song of his you react to must be a live version
my only add is Death Row is better in studio w the post processing eerie sounds. outside of that... i agree... the man is best live and untouched by post work.
Underrated comment! Too many people are set on studio albums…but the live versions are almost always infinitely better! So long as the person can sing lol. Shows where true talent lies
Fire Away being the exception. Official video a must
Chris a mic and a guitar!!! Wow!
I appreciate men as well as women reacting to how something makes them feel - much respect!
America is far from perfect, but its full of people who are trying...you both said it so well. We will stumble, we do stumble, but the good parts, those are worth fighting for. ❤
very needed statement. we fail, but the best of me is still trying to be a better man, father, friend... i am still trying
This was from the most recent Super Bowl. It’s the best version I have ever heard! You definitely need to do more Chris Stapleton. He is multitalented!!
I still get the goosebumps when I see this 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Wanna hear mind-blowing vocals gentlemen? Chris Stapleton "Sometimes I Cry" live Bing Lounge 😏❤️🔥
Chris stapleton cold live at cma is fire as fuck
You just know a lot of country singers in that CMA audience came down with a strong case of “imposter syndrome” when Chris started singing.
@@MiddleAgedBob chris isnt pure country. He is rooted in blues. But i guess his lable want a country sound cause it makes more money
I watched it live,I watched it replayed after the game, and I'm STILL watching reactions.....
And when I see my Eagles~Nick Siriani,Jason Kelce, with tears streaming down their faces,I cry along with them.....
Chris Stapleton... Legend.
BEST version of our beautiful National anthem I've ever heard in my 58 yrs.....
As an Eagles fan seeing Nick Siriani cry during this national anthem is a top 10 moment in our teams history.
I bawled like a baby when I watched this live! His tears just sent me over the edge! I’m a cowboy fan and I was rooting for your eagles so hard! When it doesn’t affect my team I root for my division. Seems like I’ve been rooting for you guys these past few years. Plus I’m a Pennsylvania girl living in the heart of steeler country.
I hate Philly with a passion being a diehard Cowboys fan since I was a kid, and likewise can’t stand Siriani. But when I saw him start crying, it made me tear up like crazy. It’s one of those moments where you’re like “damn it, on the field, I HATE you. As a fellow American sharing this moment, I love you.”
AN EPIC PROFORMANCE
You won’t be disappointed with the Chris Stapleton rabbit hole. Sometimes I Cry (Bing Lounge) and Fire Away (official video version) and Tennessee Whiskey/Drink You Away (CMA 2015) with Justin Timberlake in particular, are crazy good!
Sends chills through my body every time!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Absolutely the best live performance of all time at Super Bowl
His voice is SMOKE. 😮🎉
How emotional you got, Pegasus 😊
We played Chris Stapleton's "Starting Over" for my grandmother ALL THE TIME! She also loved Marcelito Pomoy's version of Beauty & the Beast (from AGT shocking). After the Super Bowl, I couldn't wait to play this National Anthem for her. She loved it. We were able to play it for 3 months. She called Chris "That's My Boy!" She passed away that May at 109. We played Chris' National Anthem as her Funeral Processional song & rolled her out of the church to the "Star Spangled Banner!" It was Awesome!
Hearing The National Anthem has always been an emotional experience for me, even as a small child, but this rendition by Chris Stapleton touched me more than any I've ever heard, at 76yrs old that's saying a lot.
Chris has one of the best voices, ever. The man is an legend. The emotion in his voice just sends me. I’m not super patriotic, but he made me feel that song more than I ever have. I hope you guys do more from him!
Bro on the left preached. Well said. Great reaction guys.
React to more Chris Stapleton, he's goated.
I can’t imagine a better version.
Chris is THE best. “Sometimes I Cry”, “Cold”, “I Was Wrong”, “Tennessee Whiskey”, “Death Row” to get you started.
AMEN!!! LOVED what you said!!! Put our differences aside and just get along
First, please do more Chris Stapleton. He has an amazing voice & you won't find any earpieces, autotune, autocorrect or lip synching. He sings blues, R & B, soul, gospel, rock, jazz & straight-up country. He was a highly successful songwriter for about 10 yrs before he was convinced to go out on his own, During that time, he also sang with 2 bands, The Steeldrivers (bluegrass/newgrass) & The Jompson Bros. (southern rock). Everyone starts down the Chris rabbithole w/ Tennessee Whiskey live at Austin City Limits but I prefer I Was Wrong from the same concert. Do not miss 3 Live from the Bing Lounge: Barely Alive, Cry & Your Man. Then consult Andy.
2nd - I think I understand what your views are on what authorities did during the Covid pandemic. I would just like to add my perspective because I know you will respect it. I am 78 y.o. My mother grew up before there were vaccines for anything, with the exception of smallpox. She told stories about how disease was dealt with in those times. People quarantined to prevent infecting others. There was no other defense. None. She had classmates who died or were left deaf, blind or otherwise damaged from diseases that are easily preventable today. She knew more than 1 mother who could not attend her own child's funeral because she had been quarantined with him/her & the quarantine period was not up. My mother contracted Rheumatic fever & was out of her head with a dangerously high temp for 3 days. Grandpa brought buckets of ice & put them near the bedroom door for Grandma to open the door & retrieve. They were extremely fortunate because she survived without the common heart damage & Grandma didn't become ill. Many times, after someone was quarantined, their mattress & bedding was burned & their clothing boiled for an hour. The vaccine for smallpox 1st started becoming mandatory in the 1840's & 1850's. Both of my parents had the round scar that those left on upper arms.
When I was in grade school, polio was the big fear. My mother didn't let us go anywhere but school & church (where we came late, stood in the back & left early) for a very long time. That was all she could do to try to keep us safe. I had 2 classmates who contracted it. One was left with a badly deformed leg & the other ended up existing in an iron lung for several years before she died. In the 2nd grade, I was among the 1st to receive the new polio vaccine.
Not saying the authorities handled everything perfectly. Panic, politics & egos will always f**k things up somehow. But I've told you my personal story & it's why I did not object to quarantine, always wore a mask & was happy to get the 1st vaccine shots available. As they say, your experience may vary.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I appreciate the respect you showed by not only removing your hat,but remaining quite through the entire song. I've watched other reactions to this performance, and there was laughing at the players crying, not removing hats etc.,but what REALLY got me,was when one of the reactors knelt down on one knee and held up a fist, then started apologizing for doing it while laughing...
One man with his guitar! He looked different because he usually wears his iconic cowboy hat 😊 Thank you so much for taking your cap off during the anthem ❤
The best live rendition of the Anthem hands down.
Thank you! Great reaction! Chris is another rabbit hole I love traveling through! This man has soul! I think my favorite original song is “Cold” and I love his cover of “Whipping Post” by the Allman Brothers. I have never been a fan of country music but this guy is another genre bender! Thanks again guys! Happy birthday America 🎊🎉🎇🎆
Very appropriate never heard it sung with so much soul. You all celebrate my birthday hope you are having a good time.
Can't believe you haven't done Chris Stapleton. Suggest you start out with Tennessee Whiskey from Austin City Limits.
wow.. no one has put up a comment.. since I have.. but I'm putting up a comment.. today... I saw the Francis Scott Key bridge go down about a month ago.. Francis Scott Key wrote our National Anthem.. I'm from Delaware but have lived in Maryland for 30 plus yrs.. I went to work over that bridge many a time.. so sad that it's gone.. Know our history... this song means everything. It's our Anthem.. and thank you so much for taking your hat off for it.. that's respect. I truly hope and pray that when my boys (3) of them hear our Anthem.. they will show respect. And hope my girls r raising their babies the same way.
This is the reason that Why do I love America It's because of their patriotism. to make the nation strong😊
I do not care for most country music, but I could listen to him for hours. The man has a soul and his singing is amazing. Tons of great songs and his live performances are better than many of the recorded versions. New Rabbit hole
Y'all's patriotism as some one that served ty let me make it straight I never saw combat but still appreciate y'all
More Stapleton! "Cold," live at the 2021 CMAs is a great place to start. Loovveee! ❤
You’re just getting started with Chris Stapleton, he’s flat out amazing!!
He did an amazing job on the song.
Oh Jesus H. Y’all really need to go down the Chris Stapleton rabbit hole. Great reaction!
Thank you for taking off your hat for this. This is respectful to those who gave their lives in defense of this country and the flag that represents it. Appreciate it. And this is the best version of this song "I've" ever heard as well.
Just a man with his guitar and his amazing voice
The Chris Stapleton well is deep! I don't care for his songs that sound like current pop country but his bluesy rock, as well as his ballads, are superb! Death Row is one of my favorites!!!
I love “Death Row” and I love his bluesy stuff as well! His guitar can sing as well!❤❤
This is a good heartfelt rendition. I hadn't heard it before, so thank you. ❤ But you should listen to Jimmi Hendrix's version of the Star Spangled Banner. It's mind blowing what he could do to a guitar. 🤯🤯🤯
I’m 55 years old and this is truly the best Super Bowl national anthem. I love Chris , seen him live last Friday
I just love him. I’m going to see him Friday in Bangor, Maine.
...excited like a ghost, funny Don. I'm excited for this reaction. Chris Stapleton is cool blues soul country...👊☝️🖼☝️🎇🙂
I could see your history as a military brat by your reaction. I have seen people in awe, I've seen them cry, yours was the first one where you removed your hat, put it over your heart lip synced and even closed your eyes a few times. Bravo.
Not quite right.
One stands for the Pledge and places their hand over their heart. (Unless they have a Constitutionally protected objection to swearing to a symbol.)
One stands for the Anthem and men remove their hats, women do not. (Exceptions as above.) Arms/hands should be at the side or held in front or behind.
Placing one's hands over the heart for the Anthem is incorrect.
Have always found this one to be impressive and just plain fun: Tennessee Whiskey/Drink You Away - Justin Timberlake & Chris Stapleton (CMA 2015)
I shed a tear every time. That was a great version... Happy freedom day
I can tell that you are the child of a veteran....the automatic reaction of taking off your hat was heart warming!! Thank your parents for serving us all!!
I was in feeling good by the time the "Big Game" started, but this rendition brought me to tears. It always brings me tears in big situations, but Stapeltons rendition is just so heartfelt.
Respect to my man for removing his hat, whether for the respect or just trolling.
Chris Stapleton “first time I cry live at the Bing lounge.” Thank me later.
Stripped it down. The words are what counts. And he does it beautifully. 🇺🇸
This performance gave me chills. I watched it live. Beautiful
Most beautiful rendition...yes absolutely 💯
I'm not even American but that was unbelievable, that was the America that I was brought up to respect as my second country, CS is a national treasure...The old America is still there..
best version i've ever heard! btw im a german dude @germany!! chris is such a dude 100% love
To me this is by far the best rendition.
I so love that ya'll love our country as much as I do... this is who we are... I'm not gonna loot a store.. don't agree with that.. but I love my country... and proud to be an American
Definitely go down the Chris Stapleton rabbit hole, you won’t regret it
Big ol' burly football players/coaches in tears. ❤
Never seen this before and this might be the best rendition I've ever seen as well. Can you imagine doing that live at the f'n SuperBowl and hitting every note like THAT?!
Have you been living under a rock or something?
Chris Stapleton and Ren... This channel is the shizzle!! Funny how you have come across 2 of the greatest story tellers through song and they couldn't be any more further apart in genre. Both of these 2 are absolute GOATS! You guys and Knox i literally cant get enough of!
Stapleton makes me cry all of the time. Best national anthem since Whitney Houston, in history.
Yes we are connected to one another and everything else. Thank you. I love you.
The hands down best version of this song. Had me shedding tears as well.
Lol. We are absolutely at a better place racially than the 40s.
If you want some legit Chris Stapleton gloriousness, you have to watch him play an acoustic version of a song he wrote with an old band of his called “Barely Alive” in a Nashville bar years ago. It is on a cheap garbage cell phone and people are eating and such (you can hear the clanking of the plates) and when he gets going it is unbelievable. You can hear them blown away by his voice, and it’s legit power. Soul crushing it what it is
So glad you've reacted to Chris Stapleton! You are at the edge of a very deep rabbit hole... this guy is amazing, he just *emotes*.
He crosses genres....some people say he is "country"....but he is soooo soulful, and there is so much blues infused in his music...
I'm not even American and that was perfect!!! You guys better take care of Chris or I'll take him and make him Australian !!!!!!!
Chris Stapleton is amazing. Saw him in concert last summer. He’s unreal
This is one of the best reactions to this Epic Performance by Chris Stapleton. You are so real, keep up the good work.
If I could sing like Chris Stapleton, I would literally never shut up! I'm here for you guys doing more reactions of him.. you'll be almost as blown away as you are with H Mack
You have absolutely got to check out more of Chris!! Hes a vocal BEAST!!
Ok you want to watch his live performances which sound better than his recordings.

There’s much more and before he became a singer he was a master guitarist and songwriter for many famous artists across genres so you probably know his work.
You can Google that and get a list of songs and artists. I’m still working on that.
God bless America, and all of its citizens I for one I’m truly grateful to be born in this country.
One of the hardest songs on the planet to sing.
Chris is an American icon. Great reaction on the 4th.
I love the story at the end. It was 2021. It was the 4th of July and my beautiful wife married me the next day...but that night, the city of Galveston, TX lit that bitch up too. We sat on the balcony of our canal rental and watched...and i felt...secure. Secure in our future as a country, as a republic that works in democracy, and that we are all more similar than different.
This past years Superbowl Guys.
BTW: he is possibly the best male vocalist alive today or in our lifetime. Tennessee Whiskey, I Was Wrong, Whiskey and You, Death Row..... Just to get started
Man, Chris Stapleton has such an incredible voice. He can sing anything, but the big one people love is Tennessee Whiskey.
Yes, Live at Austin City Limits please!
Loved your true reaction! We are all so proud to be American !!!!!
this past superbowl.. February 2023...if you don't love this. you don't love our country and this amazing rendition of our anthem. I never thought anyone would come close to Whitney doiing our Anthem... but Chris did
You now have a new subscriber. The reactor on my right took off his hat and put it over his heart. God Bless America.
That was beautiful, made me so emotional. What is happening to the USA currently, breaks my heart.
Might feel like our soul is slipping away but faithful dedication is worth the sweat and blood. Trends come and fail. I have to believe we have brighter days ahead... just going to take a lot of pain to get there from here. Peace and Love to you and yours!
Beautiful!!!!!!!!
You guys need to react to Chris and Justin Timberlake . They have two together that I know of . It’s high energy and great when they do the CMA show together. You will enjoy for sure !
Best voice in music, hands down!!!!
A beautiful reaction to the most beautiful version of this song. Chris killed it and so did you guys. 🙏
