Jimi Hendrix also did a rendition of this at Woodstock, with a guitar only. Both his and Chris’s versions are amazing, and truly show the potential of their talent & creativity. There’s no way to actually describe feeling American, but the wave of emotion just listening to Chris’s rendition pretty much sums it up.

Although I'm Canadian I actually wept with his performance. His rendition should be played on every TV and radio station several times a day. If this doesn't wake-up Americans to what America truly is then nothing will.

Thanks fellas.
Not to mention if it weren't for that flag being held up by men who know they would be killed to avoid it from touching the ground which would of been a statement of surrender we would not be the greatest country in the world and would of been under British rule. In other words the United States of America would not existed. This is why it's disprespectful for the flag to touch the floor.
It was written by Frances Scott Key, a lawyer who negotiated for the release is American prisoners being held on British ships. So he wasn’t a prisoner but did go on the ship to get prisoners released.
Brought me to tears. Goosebumps. Best voice on the planet.🤘
I could listen to it a million times love love love it! Whether you had your hand over your heart while he sang The National Anthem or not you still felt your heart beating some extra beats with that awesome tribute! ❤🇺🇸
Never felt so proud to be American than during this rendition. I'm Canadian btw.
Jimi Hendrix played the Anthen at Woodstock 1969. No singing. Just guitar. I showed it to my 80 year old Mom decades later. She cried.
America is still the greatest country on earth. USA! USA! USA! 🇺🇸 Love you guys!
