Great job. Great vid. Thank you so much for considering the value of everyone's time by condensing the info and not telling long, useless stories about how Uncle Joe used to install plumbing parts, back in the day. :=)
Just watched 3 or 4 different videos on this and yours is by far the best one! Great job sir. I love the explanations and great editing, your work was so much cleaner than the other guys. How can I hire you for some work?
Great video. And totally understand why you wouldn’t want to cut into the tile for the shower head, but that’s not code here to have the shower head come out of drywall. I still would have done it also tho! Ha
Thank you for posting this. I had been looking all over UA-cam for a video that showed how to add a shower above an existing bathtub. I couldn't find anything for a long time. Is there any possibility you could change the title of your video to "Add a shower above an existing bathtub"? It's very hard to find otherwise. Again, thank you for posting just what I needed. By the way, what are you using as a guard when you solder? It looks like just a flat piece of metal. Will just a flat piece of tin work? Or how heavy duty does the metal need to be? I haven't ever soldered plumbing before, so I need to learn to do it.
How's the pressure with the new setup? I'm thinking about going from 3 to a single handle. But I'm hearing that the pressure-balance valve ends up reducing the pressure to the showerhead, so I'm reluctant.
Wish it was easy to do the opposite. I hate one-handle fixtures. The one in my shower now is petrified. I practically have to rip it out of the wall to turn the water on.
This was the right video I was looking for. Your instructions was right on point. Thank you very much.
Need the model of this unit for it's exactly what I need.
My mom has those exact shower tiles !! Old skool

You need to show this with front access only
Why that would be harder.

How many hours would this type of job usually take?
At least 4 hours

Nice job.
is that a universal rough valve and trim kit
How did you get the correct depth of the shower valve So that the flange sits flush with the wall.?

Thanks for the video! great gob!
I have one of these. I hear you can turn them off without turning off the mains? What type of washer do they take?
Your nalgas
😂
Very nice job! Where can I find exactly same cover plate?
Where did you get that diverter kit from oval shape style
How about reversing it, from a single handle to a double
Thanks
Thanks for he support on the channel!
Great video! Could you tell me where I could get these parts at?
Amazon
@@How2Plumb what is the name of the parts?
What if my tub spout is in line with the faucet handles ? Can I still do this??
What would be typical install cost ? In Toronto for existing shower line though
Is it one hour work ?
Can you use flexable hose with the copper?
I have a question. Is there any other method rather than soldering for bonding? Can I use some other pipe joining fitting?
Same boat
how did you screw the wing elbow in from the back side?
At 10:15 you can see the hole he cut in the wall behind the shower head.

So you don't need a separate diverter valve and handle? The spout diverter is sufficient enough to switch between tub and shower head?
Yes! 😁
Solder what on the cartridge
Hi. What size is the allen key on the mixer handle.
Thank you
The cover plate that pops up when I click your link , is not the same

I have the same question!
No too many sections missing from video.
Oh my! That is the exact ugly tile my parents had in their shower. They had it done in the sixties. Lol
