I like the Gonsolin / Knack piggyback. Buehler could also blow up in our faces. No way Kershaw pitches with his injury still looming. Shoulda coulda woulda treated our 7/10 ILs with more of a mid-season ‘winter break’…. We have to just get thru the next two weeks without exhausting the bullpen. Bullpen is our only shot.
Why is Flatherty stated before Yamamoto? Yamamoto is our ACE! Management failed to get Kikuchi (lights out with Astros) and now they are in trouble with starting pitchers.
@@SuperJay12jay Yamamoto isn’t fully stretched out yet to go 5-7 innings, while Flaherty is.
Freidman would never give up the prospects toronto got
The Rotation should go Yamamoto , Flaherty , Buehler, Bullpen game , drop Miller and bring up your best reliever at triple A
Knack is better than all of them.
Brent Honeywell will be giving us 3 innings of scoreless baseball at least once this postseason
Bauer is still a free agent. 🤷🏻♂️
I don’t think mlb rules allow you to add a free agent to your post season roster signed this late in the season.
Not a problem! If the offense can up their game to around 10 runs a game, then they have a good chance of advancing in the playoffs. 😂
10 won’t even be enough after giving up 11 to the damn marlins 💀
They have actually scored 9 runs in each or the last three games.
@@BASEBALLfreakFORlife I’m making the assumption that they won’t be pitching guys like Miller or Grove. 😬
Flaherty - Yamamoto - Kershaw with gonsolin piggy backing - Buehler with a lefty piggy backing. Need those two later games to make it to 6/7 innings with a manageable score and we can win. And also need Flaherty and yama to give us pretty good starts which im confident they will. If we win games 1-2 we will be fine but we MUST win games 1-2
Agree with Flaherty & Yamamoto. The only way I’d start Kershaw in a Game 3 is if we’re up 2-0 in the series. If it’s 1-1 or we’re down 0-2, I’d have to go with Buehler (or Gavin Stone if he’s healthy). I just feel like Kershaw is 50-50 as to whether he’s going to implode. And I definitely wouldn’t start him at all in any series against the Padres.
@@Adam-mj5hl Buehler besides one start this season has been horrid. If he can show by the end of the season he can keep some runs off the board then I will agree with you since we probably wont see kershaw until the playoffs. But as far as I see it theres no option for games 3 and 4 that arent highly likelyh to be games that are implosions by the starters. We need to win games 1-2 or we will lose
@@TheAz943 In Buehler’s defense, he did go 6 innings / 2 runs vs. Atlanta the other day and 5 innings / 2 runs against the Angels two weeks ago. I just feel like pure stuff wise, Buehler is still throwing 95-96 mph while Kershaw barely tops out at 90 mph, so there’s more margin for error for Buehler.
@@Adam-mj5hl hes had 2 good starts this year. Kershaws had 2 terrible ones back to back and then the SD one ealier in the year but hes had some good ones. If Buehler can get his confidence back and strike people out then I would forsure go with him since Kershaw probably wont be able to start before the playoffs start. Just need to see if buehler looks good his next couple times out.
We are going to get ROCKED!!!
na, we going to have fun. each game going to be double digits. trust me
@@dd-uy5lx I really hope so
@@dd-uy5lx Thats wishful thinking. Do you really know what's going to happen? Nobody knows. No one can predict what can happen to that degree in most situations. Including the MLB playoffs this year and most years. Philly and San Diego's offenses are really strong with plenty of pitching and excellent relief in San Diego and possibly Philly. The Dbacks are fading have a powerful offense. They could sneak by somebody. But San Diego,Philly, and LA really make the situation cloudy. All three teams are tightly matched. The winner of the NL pennant could win the whole thing.
@@miketaylor7023 if I knew what was going to happen, do you think I would write on UA-cam? I will be betting in Vegas dude. What should happen is my opinion just like most people on here.
Dodgers need 3 man rotation and solid two to win. Takes 4 to win a series? that's all they need to do. simple and direct. Who gives a shit about 4 or 5 man rotation, you win 4 with 2 solid pitchers that's all you need. If we look through the history two can carry and did.
Or Gavin Stone will come back and we’ll be just fine.
They can sacrifice Gonsolin at the alter in the postseason. But not Ohtani. Not with 620 million left on his contract.
Dodgers are sit up for two wins and a miracle with this rotation
I am very concerned with the starting rotation. I know these guys can pitch great, but hurt and all. It's gonna be tough. I know we can still do it though. The hitting should help more than tremendously with our batting lineup! I think it will be the hitting that helps win this year's world series for the Dodgers more than the pitching!
This is hands down the most frustrating season in recent memory. What’s happened to the pitching staff is crazy insane. I almost feel like the Dodgers honoring of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence has set upon them a little of Gods wrath.
I feel the same way. Stupid idiots!
At this point, I wish we still had Big Maple.
Big Maple is hurt, out for the season and retiring.
@@mikem3789didn’t know that.
Yeah, he'd fit right in with this rotation on the IL.
He's been injured for awhile but I understand how some people wouldn't know.
@@ryanc9876I’d heard about it… Why does everyone have to get injured?! There’s already three big-deal players that ended their season early: Ronald Acuña Jr., Mike Trout, Christian Yelich… And Corey Seager, too! I wish the sport could just be enjoyed without the complications of losing all these players.
Or yarbs
no way they are winning consistently in the playoffs with that depleted pitching rotation.
no post-game interviews during road trips? missing a lot of important sound bytes...
There is a chance the dodgers can win it all,it's who gets hot in the playoffs .there is no clear great team right now a bunch of good teams
What is it? 38 different guys have taken the mound this year?
Just wish the "Fire Doc" boys would take a breath and think.
saving Knack, for the Knack attack
Guys, hope I'm wrong but as a whole...starters and relievers...not good enough...we may run into Philly or SD who can hit
Whatever happen to May?
If you think Stone is not coming back then
Then…? Personally, I refuse to accept that he’s out.
Despite the negativity from bandwagon fans, dodger baseball brings the love of tthe game
Now Dodgers have to admit they have SP issues and all players must step up to try to score more than other team in each game.
It would be soooo Dodger like to have a Catman start and/or a bull pen game go great, but have the bats do nothing....watch for it. BTW....if Kershaw sees the field in lieu of a bullpen game, chalk it up as a big L and immediately fire post game ALL parties who had something to do with the decision!!!
is Ben Casparian an option at all???
Its not the time to cry over a spoilt milk right now. Should do this, could pick this. These are the healthy (kind of) pitchers Dodgers had right now. They had to rotate them the best they can. And hoping and praying the offense keep coming BIG game after game after game.
Goslin for 3 innings, kersahw for 2 or 3 there you go
Knack left out of your title despite him being almost guaranteed to have a role in the playoffs
He’s better than Bobby…
Roberts ain't making second rounds of the playoffs magic Johnson pay all dat money for OHTANI with no playoffs experience after loosing send roberts on vacation with his coaching staff
if they add Kershaw we are doomed
Tony the tiger 🐯
Jeff how on earth you put a guy who hasn't pitched in more tham a year, whosea last outing in the minors wasn't good and who will have no command over Knack???
Bueler and Kershaw???? Doesn't make sense!!
Are we gonna get bounced in the playoffs again? We spent 700 mill that’s gotta help our chances right?
ast year they lost because of the offense not doing anything and a kershaw being awfu. this year their entire pitching staff has been injured at some point in the season no way are they winning with a depleted pitching rotation.
When is gone Olin coming back? Is he 100%
How can you guys put Gonsolin ahead of Knack? Knack has all the heart and he's fresher physically. Younger and more importantly he plays stronger under pressure is my estimation of Knack. He was off the last start but every other time he came up from the minors he pitched better in the majors than he did in the minors. I'd have to take a flyer and make a small wager on Knack being able to rise to the occasion when the lights are on in the postseason. That may not be the case. But it seems like he might be one of those types that plays up when the pressure increases. In his age bracket .
Yamamoto, Jack F, Walker if he continues to make progress., Stone if healthy, Kershaw if healthy.
Please Gavin come back. 😫
Stone if healthy, but HARD pass on Kersh....he has ZERO ability to miss bats anymore!!!
Landon Knack too
If it's a Do-or-Die scenario, I would let Sho-Time Ohtani pitch
Miller should have never been brought up. Dodgers have a few other options from AAA. Bonehead management once again.
Hard disagree. Based on his full rookie season last year, 11-4 with a 3.76 era, Miller deserved a slot in this year’s starting rotation. Unfortunately, it looks like he needs to spend some time in AAA to figure out his mechanics. But you can’t argue he didn’t deserve a spot in the starting rotation at the beginning of the year.
Like who? Specifically. You ready to drop some guys with no major league experience in to the mix right now? OK. Who?
@@teejay3272 Inb4 "Wrobleski" as if people forgot how his last few outings were. Not much better, possibly worse than Bobby. People need to face the fact that the blame game doesn't work when you have literally no options left aside from guys who aren't ready. News flash: guys who aren't ready are going to look a lot like Bobby.
@@Adam-mj5hl we are not discussing the ‘beginning of the year’. He was sent down after performing poorly during the season and when he came back up, he continued to perform poorly. And yet, he still remained in the rotation, costing the Dodgers several games. If they lose this Division to the Padres, he is one of the reasons why. Roberts will be the main reason once again.
@@mikem3789 No, the Dodgers aren’t losing the division to the Padres. And who else do they have to take Miller’s place given the state of the rotation?
Dodgers will not make they will probably end up as a wild card team This team is a mess!
We r cooked
Get ready to lose in the 1st round. Kershaw starting a playoff game!
When the 2024 season ends in disappointment, I hope the conversation is not just about pitching! The Dodgers have become synonymous with failure in October for the last Decade!
Don't get mad, ask why? With the exception of a 62 game season with NO fans and empty ballparks, the dodgers have become the Dallas Cowboys of Major League Baseball, and that is not meant to be a compliment!! Simple Question: What is the Definition of INSANITY? Think about it!
