- What is likely one of the most significant Class One RR capacity expansion projects in recent years is BNSF's ~30mi. of third Main Track construction between Needles and Goffs, CA on the Needles Subdivision. The final segment of which was completed just before Thanksgiving, 2023. Part of the project included a whole new Control Point at Homer, which features a full set of crossovers.
This clip features what turned out to be a busy Monday afternoon at that new Control Point of Homer (well, the first train is seen down a hill a bit at Arrowhead Junction). A total of 18 trains are seen.
Great video. I have not been to the east end of the Needles Sub since the triple track project began!
Honestly, neither had I before this day! But I'm gonna try and hit it up a few more times this winter.

Wow! Excellent video; superlative in every respect. Great action. Too bad you got blocked a couple times; a hazard of railfanning multiple track main lines.
