Chasing Trains Across the Mojave to Tehachapi

I recently joined-up with ‪@ChadsRailfanExperience‬ and ‪@PatsTrainVideos‬ while they were in my area for some train watching. On this day, we chased trains west from Needles, CA across the Mojave Desert to the Tehachapi Mountains. It was a fairly breezy day, but the sun was shining and the trains were plentiful.
Most of the day is spent on BNSF's Needles Subdivision, with a handful seen on BNSF's Mojave Sub and one final train on UP's Mojave Sub around Woodford/Walong. The number of grain trains we saw was unusually high, especially empty ones.
