Waking in the morning, about 0300hrs to be greeted by a massive cloud inversion was spectacular. 5 Wainwright's completed and a fantastic wild camp up on Yewbarrow inbthe Wasdale Valley.

Great video, and some spectacular scenery, the cloud inversion was amazing. At 15:52 on the video you were very close to a Brocken spectre in the background.

'Steeple' pound for pound it affords the best view in the entire Lake District.
I've had some belting days all over that area Rick - spent my 40th on Yewbarrow.
Mint ain't it Neil, proper smart area. They were new ones for me but I can see why you like it up there so much. Bloomin Fantastic n quiet too. Hardly saw a soul 🙂🙂.
