Server De Winterland I was wondering the same. It‘s called an Aludu, which seems to be a variation of the Udu www.valterpercussion.com/products/aludu/aludu
This place would be heaven for beatmakers that like to record their own samples. I'd probably be walking around with a mic, recording everything I could.
I was today years old when i realized how fun this is. With the exception of actual inventions like the sundrum, which i actually think should be a real product, a lot of this is just people taking random things and slaping them, and figuring out how to tune them afterwards. Or, someone lost their drum sticks and decided to use whatever they could find instead. I swear more than half of this was either made on accident, boredom, or necessity. And i absolutely love that.
I saw it as boyish humility. Not used to being featured, or spoken highly of, enjoying the praise and attention, yet not feeling worthy of it due to inexperience.
bongopirate067 **IKR?!?!?!?** (I KNO, RIGHT??) ^_^ I've Been wanting to buy a small army of shakers, tambourine, KAZOO, and slide whistle, for tlk BADLY here for last year or so.... OH YEA CAN'T FORGET 2 ADD THE RAIN STOCK IN THERE TOO.
It would be awesome to take these new instruments, currently existing instruments, and recreated ancient instruments and popularize all of them! Maybe we'll revolutionize music with the combo!
That's called a Stomp Box and they have all different kinds all over Amazon. I got one a while back for a pretty good price and it's got AMAZING sound!
rrC Lewis ... yeah man 😔 I read that a few days ago, fucken devestated!!! first Gas left and now this. I had a feeling they were since it took so long for a new album and all. sucks man, atleast I got to see them live 3 times and they will leave behind some awesome albums... still sucks though
I just became a sub. I'm a banjo player and teacher. I used to play a lot of percussion in the dance world. I approach banjo as a percussionist. I love percussion instruments and this video has some cool ones, thanks for posting.
Ak3r0n My dresser sounds better. But to be fair, my dresser actually sounds pretty epic. I tap the sides of it when I can't sleep because I can make a relaxing beat with the different tones from the dresser.
The best drum for me was my wooden chair at primary school. Later on nothing sounded quite like it. But, life is tough, and to life came this vast vacum between us that sucked in everything that wasn't said but should have been. We grew distant. The chair wanted to stay a chair and me, I wanted to progress, and so I did. I am happy with my choices but part of me is always wondering - what would have been if... I miss that damn chair.
When it comes to manufacturing (or hand making) the square units at 2:55 how would you tune those? like...how do you tune...wood? This stuff fascinates me. They're beautiful.
1:18 wtf is this cool rythm ??!
Simon David I know right ? caught my ears !
Simon David 3/2 polyrhythm
Simon David its called Djembe shaker

This place would be heaven for beatmakers that like to record their own samples. I'd probably be walking around with a mic, recording everything I could.

It would be great if you could find some silence! : )
I'm dying. at 5:04 after he says "nice big fat back beat" and "yeah" all in perfect time with the rhythm xD

3:50 and 5:30 are most creative but I like 5:30 because it's acoustic and can be tuned without electricity.
Tampatec well you still need a reference pitch like a digital piano or something
what the name of the Instrumente
It's called Sundrum
www.valterpercussion.com/en/products/sundrum/sundrum
If you have perfect pitch then there is no need

Im from the Philippines and its nice to hear Kahon (box, a simple word) being said like its the next big thing 🥰
5:19 SunDrum is interesting. These engineering students coming up with these designs are clever.
That last cajon makes you realise how valuable wood is.
The guy with the prototype gave all the vibes of an inventor and a musician

@ 3:30 I had no idea Peacekeepers had that much rhythm... You Rock Aeryn Sun
6:10 The way he looks at him tho.
Wayne He I caught that, too Lol
Wayne He that's a serious bromance brewing...
he is just in an awkward position or just doesn't want him to mess with the tuning but is still keeping a smile on his face
Wayne He sexual tension
I saw it as boyish humility. Not used to being featured, or spoken highly of, enjoying the praise and attention, yet not feeling worthy of it due to inexperience.
Amazing percussions, more innovative ones wow

This video should have been like at least an hour since I could never tire of him walking around from booth to booth.
I did a second and third version. Search the channel to see.
What am I doing here? I'm a guitarist I'm supposed to disrespect my drummer
Nashenal Gaming Every guitarist has to be a bit of a drummer - Paul Gilbert

I would like to see more of those wacky ass things that guy shows off at 3:13.
I don't know why it reminded me of the double bass drums in One
It would be awesome to take these new instruments, currently existing instruments, and recreated ancient instruments and popularize all of them! Maybe we'll revolutionize music with the combo!
I can't help bud dancing whenever someone makes a nice beat, these sounds are so interesting! 3:32 and 5:13 amazing drums!
Anyone know what they called

A product list in order of appearance would be greatly appreciated! Specifically I was interested in the bass drum foot tap pedal

I have a nice set of air drums if anyone is interested.

Love the Bongolele. I bought a Ukelele and after strumming on it for about ten minutes, I usually turn it over and drum on it for a half hour.
That's what I do with my parent's guitar - worked great tapping the side! :)
Everyone is talking about 6:10 but I havent seen one comment about 0:38
Lol the guy in the back
Jay_ dude they were actually in sync for a bit

I don't even play any kind of percussion instrument, but I found this video very fascinating. Thanks for the tour.

"Sundrum"
You can find it here: valterpercussion.com

In the video he calls them "Bass pedal" which are similar to "stomp pedal". You should probably google that!
I was looking for this too. I think they are from www.logjam.net/
Sir please explain about the Roland SPD 30 octapad percussion which are use in then. I will be waiting for your that video
When and where can I found this event? I want to collect them
That looks like a peaceful and quiet place to be
As an anger you are well played all the tiny amazing instruments

that last plexi Cajón sounded like crap.
Convention center are not the best for sound but still..it had no projection
Ak3r0n I totally agree... hahahhaa... my school desk sounds better than that ugly ass zebra skin piece of animal liberarion.
Ak3r0n : it did
Ak3r0n My dresser sounds better. But to be fair, my dresser actually sounds pretty epic. I tap the sides of it when I can't sleep because I can make a relaxing beat with the different tones from the dresser.
yeah it just sounded like he was hitting a plastic box.... no change in pitches no matter where he hit it
This looks so fun. Just a bunch of people bonding over instruments and music.
Is it still “cool” and “new” if I’m here 3 years later when this pops up in my recommendations?
OceanTrident yep.
The best drum for me was my wooden chair at primary school. Later on nothing sounded quite like it.
