I am starting my loc journey over again after 6yrs of growing my locs. I started my own locs and I really didn’t know the right way to loc back then but now I am starting fresh! So stay patient they look so good on you!!!! ♥️

It looks bomb 🔥🔥🔥🔥I started mine 2 months ago I’m still loving the journey...!!! Enjoy the journey best thing you can do is leave them alone, oil your scalp every 3-4 days but best to leave them retwist every 5-7 weeks... they look great on you 🙌🙌🙌 don’t use lots of products on your locs cause you will get build up in the long run...yep I did not wash mine for 8 weeks you can do it just oil your scalp... and let your hair be free and wild... if that’s the look your going for 🥰

Bro if you have a crochet hook you might as well just do instant locs, coming from a person that has the same texture, stater locs are no fun, the journey is grueling, so glad I got my hair instantly locked
That's what I did yeah! Now I just some twist session every 3-4 months and do some work with the crochet hook

Hi my hair is 3C as well. It is a bit shorter than yours I am doing the comb coils and we did interlock the first retwist so my journey is slightly different. I did get mine wet on accident at the pool so view of my interlocks came out so my hair is just super curly while some are starting to loc lol my question is did you interlock it or instant loc it because my stylist says those are two different things. If you instant loc it will you still retain length ?
Hey I started my locs with interlocks, crochet hooked all my locs for like a month or two when I felt like it (made a whole difference as you can already see in the video) and eventually just got retwist done (no interlocks). It will defo shrink a bit but not that much.
I noticed the spanish but was that french or portugués? The way it rolls off the tongue is amazing

Did u suffer from dry scalp , I have the same hair, very close. But did you suffer from dry scalp before you got locked up? And how’s it going now?
Nope not at all. I always conditioned my hair with natural products on a regular basis. I don't see any difference regarding the dryness of my scalp since I got my locs. I do put less products but keep it hydrated when I feel like it with a mix of Rose water, Peppermint Oil, Water and Tea tree oil.
Was that briad attempt before you got them interlocked professionally? Or was that the interlocked after a couple days without using that tool your using ?
Nope the loctician put my locs in braid style and after 5-7 days I removed the braid style so yeah it was the interlock at its very first stage. I think it would have taken too much time for her to work on every locs to make it blunted so I did it on my own!

I think 0.5 crochet hook would work a lot better for your locs especially to blunt the ends. 👍🏾

You can get similar results with your hair type, just need to find a loctician in your city that can do instant locs with the crochet method (interlock) as presented in the video.
Went to go get my locs and the lady told me my hair was too curly and wouldn’t support dreads .. no longer than two naps sleeping on my back and ta-da dreads formed
That's a huge cap wow. You can even get locs on straight hair with a simple crochet hook! Gotta find another loctician ;) But that's cool!

How did they start your starter locs? Twist or coils or something else?
By the interlocking method. It was the best option for my type of hair. My hair was a bit too soft for twits starters.

Hi! I'm not! Hmm I mostly did try/error on different products. Some may or may not work for your hair but usually when it comes to natural stuff it gives good results. You can have a look on my previous hair videos there's a playlist on my channel. I showcase some of the products I used to get decent results :)

I got it interlocked then I crochet hooked it. Later I got it retwisted.

I have a question.Do dreadlocks in this type of hair (loose curl 3b/3c) cause hair loss or make the hairline recede?
Hi, two years locked now. I haven't experienced any of that. One thing to avoid I guess would be to over re-twist your locs and always tight pressure from scalp.
How soon is over retwisting? And whats the usual period that someone needs to retwist?Thanks
@@stefanosc2297 It's really up to personal preference and also you figuring out what works best for you. One time I did 6 months without retwist. I wouldn't do more than one retwist per month. I usually go for a retwist every 2-3 months. The less you do the less tension you put on your scalp.

What method did you use for your locs
Interlocking at first, now I go with regular retwist.
Locs came out 🔥 , but I’m sure you have already noticed that one loc by your forehead on the right side has a hole in it from the interlocking. You should fix that ASAP or it will get worst.

How did you get the ends to be more round. I got the same type of hair as you and when I tried it on a couple of mine, they came out super frizzy
I show this exactly at 5:13 . Sometimes my blunted tips unravel a bit when I shower them but I just re-crochet it no worries!
