you have a voice quality that seems to relate to Bob Ross from PBS - The Joy of Painting. "Maybe a crappie bush lives over here.. Maybe a crappie dock over there. ok.. lets clean our lure and go with a chartreuse and midnight black color next '. It's rather stress free and calm fishing viewing.
Best dock side imaging demo ever followed by convincing advantages of having forward looking sonar when fish are on the move. Your personable, calming delivery style is a strong attribute.
New viewer and new crappie chaser. Never seen anyone "cast" like that before. Now i will be seaching your channel for a tutorial on it. Maybe include one in the next vid if you haven't done one? Subscribed!
just was wondering what part of Tennessee you are in as I'm looking for a place to retire and I am thinking of Tennessee as a contender. How are the winters there? Great videos!
Dude really love your content man. I like you as a person too. There's only dudes I just can't stand for some reason. Good work man. Wish I could get down south with ya.
Thanks for the vid Brandon. I fished docks on my last trip to TN, didnt even OCCUR to me to use side imaging. Scratchin my.head wondering why... now i made a mental note. Definitely remember this video on my next trip, so thank you.
Great video. Love my lowrance. I have the 9” screen. The side imaging is definitely a big advantage to locate crappie under docks. I like shooting docks with a Bobby Garland.
I fished that same boat house at 14 mins on your vid this past Monday and caught some nice ones there myself...they were stacked in there and I caught several nice ones at that bridge..they were stacked there as well
Thank you, Brandon! I love watching your videos, always learning from you. Question: how does releasing a fish affect the school? Does it shut down the bite eventually? Is that why you change locations? Thank you and Merry Christmas!
Come for the top tier BASS Elite angler. Stay for the crappie for the videos lol. Good stuff. These crappie videos are awesome. I am learning so much from your videos. Thanks for making great content!
Fishing was good on the Tn river. But with Pickwick having flood gates open. Then all the rain, its though now. Even Yellow creek on Pickwick Lake. Its a mud pit for a few days for sure.
Hey Brandon, I'm a new subscriber. Followed you some on bassmasters but I'm wanting to try to get into crappie fishing. I don't have a boat right now so will have to fish from the bank. What setup would you suggest fishing around bridge columns from the bank this time of year?
I would have two different setups for a bank fishing situation like that. First I would rig a live minnow on a slip bobber rig and set it at the depth I expect the fish to be at and cast it out. While you waiting for one to bite the minnow cast a jig around and see what happens. Be sure and pay attention to how deep you are getting your bites, that will be the key. Thanks for watching and good luck!
@marcusfuller7464 - I live in Grenada. Where you put in, depends on where you want to fish on the lake and what level the lake is at during your trip. Some ramps are out of water at lower levels. The Grenada Landing (main) boat ramp is accessible 99.9% of the time. It is accessible as long as lake level is 191.0 or more. Wolf Creek ramp is accessible with lake level at 191.0 or more Hugh White State Park ramp is accessible with lake level at 193.0 or more
Is that lake similar to smith lake? Your videos is awesome and I’m just getting into crappie fishing and the closest lake is smith and it’s tough for me right now as far as trying to target crappie thanks
I have caught a bunch on Bobby garlands over the years but I’ve come to like crappie magnets better. They’re more durable and the profile is a little different than what most people throw. Thanks for watching!
1st 😁👌 I do have a question, you did get me to start using Vicious 4 lb test and I used your method of spooling it up which has been great. My question is when it does get twisted up do you cut everything off and troll it behind the boat to get the twist out or do you just respool it with new line?
I don’t ever have a problem with it getting twisted but yes you can troll it behind the boat and get it out. I usually change mine every 3-4 trips. I just like to keep my line fresh.

Like a much less high and wildly more redneck version of Bob Ross. I like it.
@@callmecamo2 the man can fish like Bob can paint and has a similar voice quality that envokes relaxation. i will leave it at that.
Wildly mode redneck is a very fair assumption lol. Thanks y’all for watching I appreciate you!

Love the crappie fishing videos. Keep them coming.
I grew up on Tims Ford lake if you have some time I would like to see some walleye videos and some tips I caught some at the dam but that's about it
Appreciate your teaching as you go! Getting ready to put Livescope on my boat, so hope I can catch on! Especially the shooting docks.
Brandon, I appreciate your down home clean videos. Merry CHRISTmas from the northeast corner of Tennessee, may you and yours have a blessed one!

Nice video thanks
Great video. May I ask what lake u r fishing? Thanks for the info
Fishing was good on the Tn river. But with Pickwick having flood gates open. Then all the rain, its though now. Even Yellow creek on Pickwick Lake. Its a mud pit for a few days for sure.
Yea I saw where they had gates open on pretty much all the TN River lakes right now. We’ve had a lot of rain for sure. Thanks for watching!

Brandon you fishing on Lee's Ford lake? We had a family vacation down there couple years ago beautiful lake.
I just got a Bonifide SS127. Can you recommend a good low budget fish finder
Just got a boat, and plan to do more fishing in the late fall and winter. How early this is? Is daytime good or has to be really early?
Another good 1👊🏻
Thanks!
Thanks for sharing👍 are you from the Missouri area? Here in north Texas water still in upper 50’s.
No sir I’m from TN. Thanks for watching!
man thats first one
Awesome videos ty
Hey Brandon I get to fish with you on June 9, 2023 just wandering could make a video on UA-cam with me that would make my day
I noticed you like the loop knot. Are you against using a swivel?
I’m not a fan of using a swivel. It takes away from the action of your bait and just looks very unnatural to the fish I believe.
Mr Lester, can you tell me a good place to put in at lake Grenada?
I can’t help u there I’ve never been to Grenada. It’s on my list of places to go though!

Do you paint tail or do they make killer klat with chartreuse?
I use spike-it dye.
@@BrandonLesterFishing thanks!

Very similar. Smith is a great crappie lake. Put your time in looking for them and you will find them. Good luck!
Brandon great outing! What size hook did your 1/32 oz. Jig head have?
I’m not positive but I would guess it’s a size 6. Maybe even an 8. It’s pretty small. Thanks for watching!
great video! do you have a preference between crappie magnets or Bobby Garlands?
I have caught a bunch on Bobby garlands over the years but I’ve come to like crappie magnets better. They’re more durable and the profile is a little different than what most people throw. Thanks for watching!

You have scent on your crappie magnet
Just the garlic spike-it I used to put chartreuse on the tail. Thanks for watching!
What does a man have to do to go fishing with you brother
Www.golakehop.com you can book a trip with me. Thanks for watching!
