@@Killshaw I have a burnt out compressor Again.(Life time warranty) I will replace it then go around each airmatic spring and soap test for leaks. Ahhhhhhhh
Our dealer has $525 for front assy each. Great price . From what I have seen.

@@kjbkbro5171 Honestly not a bad price. They seem to run for around $1000 for the front each and $600 for the rear here.

Have the same one so it’s just one compressor that controls the whole suspension?

Great video, but what happened to the rear after you installed the new compressor did you have a leak?

The rear air bags were damaged from the compressor failure so i will be posting a video on their replacement soon.

@@Killshaw did you ever make that video of the rear suspension air bag. I’m having the same issue. Great video by the way.

@@1stCme I just had this same issue; my airbags in the rear had a pinhole in them, letting air out which caused the compressor to run more than normal, eventually damaging the compressor. Replaced the airbags and compressor. The airbag replacement was more than I wanted to take on; sought out a shop that did the job in an hour for $300. Mercedes and others wanted in the $800-1000 range. Bought the airbags online and brought them to the shop.

All four corners were all the way down on my 2014 GL 550. Compressor was super loud. I put a new one in and everything was great for about 5 days. Then right back to the same issue. I am completely lost. Didn't change the relay. Could that be it?

I have a 2007 GL450 I love the truck how it drives but they will definitely keep you busy with work fixing them.

What year is your GL450? Would you trust the reliability of the GL for a long 10 to 12 hours day road trip? Am think of getting a GL500 2014 or 2015 for long distance driving trips.

Mine is a 2013 GL450. It has the V8 motor which has been extremely reliable on all the road trips we have taken. No leaks so far and only issue was the air suspension needing replacement. Other than that it has been a great vehicle. The 2015 GL450 has a v6 in it and i am not to sure of the reliability of that motor. 2013 to 2014 gl450 have a twin turbo v8. Highway driving is much better on any vehicle than city driving.
