    Have to come back and give Thanks ... Your Video along with the other one about service mode allowed me to change my wife's 2017 GLE 43 Rear Rotors & Pads ... Salute 🫡

    Why didn’t you actually SHOW how to do each step?

      Becuase I was already in the middle of doing it. Plus it is SUPER simple. There are literally 2 bolts holding on the caliper. Most could apply what I say in the video. It’s very easy.

    In the nothing is as easy as it appears dept - you will need a THIN 17 mm open end wrench - such as capri tools.

    how do you realign the rotor to get the t-screw back in without removing the brakes?

    • @paymonsani
      @paymonsani 4 місяці тому

      I just did the work on my vehicle. I spent some time trying to remove the bracket and it did not budge, either the bracket does not come off or I do not know how to take it off! But it was easy to push in the brake piston with clamps. If you use clamps with plastic holders then you don't need to worry about scratching the piston housing.

      Helping Hand Auto Repair Will they also work for the GLS450? What is the part number?

      Matt Nisnevich I don’t know the part number off hand for your exact year and model. Best to check out FCP euro. That’s where I get all my European parts. They have lifetime warranty on everything they sell.

    Hello, i did change rear break pads and rotors on my GLE 400 , after that break pedal is soft and after couple of attempts it will be hard. No break fluid leaks anywhere. any thoughts on what could be the issue

    • @HelpingHandAutoRepair
      @HelpingHandAutoRepair  2 роки тому

      Is it soft all the time now or did it harden up

    • @ajji268
      @ajji268 2 роки тому

      @@HelpingHandAutoRepair it’s soft all the time (break pedal not going all the way to floor) had to press twice to get the firm break

      You might have a sticky caliper.

      dewitt jenkins what do you mean the enter lights?

    • @dewittjenkins7207
      @dewittjenkins7207 5 років тому

      The two lights close to the grill my main lights are not working i use to have one working now neither of the outside lights are working the led are not working

    • @HelpingHandAutoRepair
      @HelpingHandAutoRepair  5 років тому

      dewitt jenkins These lights are HID from the factory correct? If you have never changed the bulbs chances are they simply are just blown out.

    • @HelpingHandAutoRepair
      @HelpingHandAutoRepair  5 років тому +1

      dewitt jenkins You need to check the underhood fuse box for fuse #112 that is for the front headlight control. If that is good and you still have no headlights report back.

    Hi, i changed the brake pads but still “check brake pads wear” lights on how to reset it? Thanks

    • @HelpingHandAutoRepair
      @HelpingHandAutoRepair  4 роки тому

      Kamran Tahirbayli You need to replace the brake wear sensors as well.

    • @KTuser12
      @KTuser12 4 роки тому +1

      @@HelpingHandAutoRepair thanks for reply. Already order the wear sensors. So for replacing i need to take of brake calibers and pads as well? Or it is more easier just take off wheels and replace sensors thanks. If you have some video how to replace sensors please share. Thanks

    • @HelpingHandAutoRepair
      @HelpingHandAutoRepair  4 роки тому

      Kamran Tahirbayli You need to take off the wheels and pull off the brake calipers in most cases. The wire just pushes right into the back of the brake pad.

      Helping Hand Auto Repair do u have any link or video how correctly an accuratly do this for X166?

    • @HelpingHandAutoRepair
      @HelpingHandAutoRepair  4 роки тому

      Kamran Tahirbayli I don’t. If you followed my video you will see exactly how to remove and replace the entire brake system (pads and rotors) the brake wear sensors are VERY easy to see. They are VERY easy to pull out with small needle nose pliers. Then simply install the new sensor.

    just curious if there is a reason you don't use caliper lube on the back of your pads?

      chipete1 The V8 models use fuel very rapidly. If you’re after good mpg the V6 model would be best. Overall they are ok vehicles. Not too many major concerns I have heard of.

    When I go to put it in service mode, the tire sensor message stays on and won’t go away for the other message to coke on. (I have a tire sensor missing)

    • @HelpingHandAutoRepair
      @HelpingHandAutoRepair  2 роки тому

      As long as it’s actually going into service mode, there shouldn’t be a problem.
