I been in Philly working for 2 months on front street which turns into Kensington ave. Before I came home in CT I wanted to see what Kensington was like and let me tell you I've never seen anything like that in my life. They have cops walking all over ( SERT ) and they just let them be.Its really sad,I mean a video shows you but when your actually there it brings much sorrow to one's heart. There's fires on the sidewalk to keep people warm, cardboard shelters and I was happy to see quite a few volunteers giving out clothes and dinners and there seems to be alot of community support helping out these people. Idk ,there adults and make their own choices but I know there are alot who have no choice and are mentally ill with no families or anything !!!

I love how media is saying San Francisco is scary while ..... lol in SF you have 1 tiny neighborhood that's full of junkies. Philly on the other hand is mostly a zombie land, burned broken down buildings and neighborhood after neighborhood. Like you can't even compare. Philly is so disturbing, East coast in general is disturbing and they lol even dare to say a word on SF.

I'm glad to see the millions the city set aside for these people is doing good to help these victims. See less and less people out there each day. Never see migrants, so they are even doing better.

Oh plz there is a spot like this in every city in America, things won't change they will only get worse. If they legalize drugs they could regulate and educate them not mention safe places to use, and things like this would be non existent. But that will never happen this country would rather lock up it's users and dealers which in turn gives them no chance at ever living a productive life. As far as I am concerned America created this problem and now deserves to wallow in the aftermath.

There is still heroin for sure, but it's almost all fentanyl. I mean fentanyl has been killing people since 2010 maybe earlier, and every single year more and more poured into our country until basically the heroin turned into fentanyl. Now it's very very hard to find real heroin.

Who are that’s people? Migrants or locals? If that’s migrants, why they come to America? America gives a big chance to change live, if you work hard, if that’s local, they don’t see another live in other country. I’m from Kazakhstan, unfortunately, in our country doesn’t work social lift, if you work hard, it doesn’t mean you have a good live, salary only for food, transport, you can’t save money for another thing, I dream to move to America only for it, where appreciate people’s work and efforts

Most of those people are hardcore drug addicts, with no jobs or homes, with what little resource they have, it all goes into thier next drug fix and nothing more, so basically they are not In thier right minds and a danger to themselves and others, also because of this there are resources to help these people, but like I said they are addicts and care nothing about sobriety, or any form of rehab, the drugs run thier lives completely and they dont care about anything else even it it kills them.

I look at this and think, "How can this country dictate to Russia about what to do and how to live?" You won’t find such hell in Russia. Yes, drug addiction exists in Russia, as in any country. but there is no such indifference on the part of the Russian government. horror
horror because of the complete indifference on the part of the American government to this problem.

It's a bad problem, but politics can't fix this kind of thing. If you understand addiction you know you can't fix this through politics. I mean especially the government, they would never get involved in this. Now the cities mayors and politicians are the ones that should be making changes in attempt to improve the situation. I mean you can't stop addiction, not unless you're the addict, but the cities can make changes to at least improve the situations. It just gets worse and worse down there. I think you're wrong about the US government in this instance, but I understand where you're coming from. They need to at least improve the situation. This is not something you can really stop fully, but it can be improved. Lets hope the addicts get clean and change their lives. If you really really want to see this improved you need to pray for the addicts and the specific people involved, but unfortunately there will always be more addicts. I don't know how well versed you are on addiction, but there are many books that can help educate you further if you're interested. I have never seen anything as bad as Kensington anywhere. It just seems to get worse and worse, which is why at this point the politicians of Philadelphia need to at least get involved.

@@billj4525 I know what drug addiction is very well. And I not spoke or blame people who on this video. They can say hard sick from drugs. I spoke about government only. Because in Russia and Thailand also many people have problem from drugs, but they can like this meet on some aria where they do what they want and every one can see and feel uncomfortable. Usually drug addicts in Russia or Thailand stay in some apartment or house where nobody see, because if someone see and call to police they will get big problem. I 🙏 know how in America, but in Russia and Thailand the government that solves such 7.

Kensingon is worse though. This place is just like the worst of the worst. Skid row is the only place just as bad, and some call it worse, but to me Kensington seems the worst. It gets worse and more chaotic all the time. This place is like the worst of the worst addicts all congregated and homeless, and we know the results. Peoples limbs are falling off, infections all over the body, people so sick that they die outside. So many overdose deaths, every single day they happen out there. People with extreme mental illness walking the streets, along with people going threw withdrawal and vomiting all over the streets. I mean it really is like a zombie apocalypse out there or holocaust camp. It's INCREDIBLY sad. It shows you how bad addiction is and can get. I could understand being addicted to drugs or wanting cheap drugs, but I could never ever understand living out there on a daily basis, that's insane.
