Just watched all the way through, you deserve some sort of award for your smooth cinematography. I felt like I got a true NY experience. As you say, the good bad and ugly. It was humbling, peaceful and exciting to watch. Something about watching people walk around partying, laughing and having a good time while walking past people so broken, just makes you think - the city is a tough place but can also change your life. This was fantastic and I thank you. Did you realize the dude giving you the finger!!!!! 1:00:20 55:02 broke me - a family, poor and tired outside, a child sitting on a worn piece of cardboard. :(
New York City is disgusting I'm glad it's separate from the rest in New York state it's disgusting all they got is a bunch of light it up billboards and a bunch of trash all over the street that place wouldn't be for me
Great comment. I just left mine above how so many just wrapped up NY as a shithole from this one small area's video at NIGHT and I went on to give some critical points. It's above yours. I Love your comment because it was fair and without judgement. I live in NYC. Mama bear I guess.
I love how people think Times Square represents all of New York, when in reality, no one actually lives there except for the occasional homeless person. Times Square is all about enjoying the lights, shopping, grabbing a bite, catching a show, and taking a quick stroll before moving on.
U ever heard of Hells Kitchen Einstein!? Folks who got a little dough stay on 9-11th Avenues where are MANY apartments in this area. Video is only doing 7-8th Avenues.
There are plenty of apartments in the area, I used to live in a studio for a couple years but I moved to the lower east side and got a 1 bedroom for less.
I watched Taxi Driver (1976) on DVD two weeks back... 48 years on, I was shocked how similar NY still seemed, and felt durring the night. Stay safe on future filming expeditions, from the UK👍
Actually that's not quite true. Times Square was much sketchier in the 70s. Adult theaters, peep shows, etc. Central Park has been much safer for years than the 70s. Subway can be sketchy but not much graffiti and tons of usage.
These walking tour vids in various cities around the world are fantastic. Just think people will be able to watch these videos 100 years from now. You are documenting life in 2024 for future generations

@@Teddy31976 so now all of your neighbors are a bunch of fake white trash Christians? Great move! As long as you look like them you'll get along just fine.
as a native New Yorker that part of town was always a no go zone for me. Word is if you see a stroller those are migrant families.Otherwise ther are some club people or just some getting off work in the mix of the homeless and mentally ill
midtown manhattan a no go? lol. cmon, it's still safe compared to bronx and most parts of queens and brooklyn at night. i used to drink in midtown to 4am and stumble to a cab never not once touched by a thug.
That's not true! I despise videos like this because it shows only the bad side. The homeless and c.rackheads are all like that even in texas and Ohio. All this b.s about NYC people never make eye contact more than half aren't from NYC just transplants or grew up in a bad neighborhood and think being like that is going to get them somewhere. Which is why they are homeless or locked up.
🤣😂 sad narrow minded person. You copy what you hear one person say who on top of that is homeless and mentally ill and paste it on all new yorkers hahaha.
Everyone wants to throw shade at NY in these comments. Most "normal people" are sleeping at 3 am, so of course you see some people who have mental health issues, etc. I love NYC, flaws and all!
They been making a lot of negative videos of NYC lately all these vloggers come here and want to show the bad stuff to get views. Just like the news. And yes, something seriously has to be done about all these mentally disturbed homeless and illegal immigrants. But there are Good areas. That vloggers never seem to show
There were tons of great areas showcased in this video. Korea town is one of the most fun and exciting areas of the city hands down for night life. I love it! This video is to show EVERYTHING. Not just the good not just the bed, a true experience of walking in Midtown at 3am. Midtown has its rough spots but I saw a lot of awesome nightlife and fun while recording this. Please see description. Thank you for watching and subscribing

@@SbjsksmNx Certain parts of it are.....a particular political party here has a track record for turning cities into slums. Check out Kensington Ave in Philadelphia, many videos of it on UA-cam. Many cities in the US are this way. The issue is, this particular political party I'm referring to, love it. Why? Because if people are reliant on the government (welfare, food stamps, section 8 housing, etc) then it's a great way to secure votes long term. These people literally can't afford to vote any other way, if only they understood they were put in this position on purpose.
@Blackwater06 I know all about Kensington. Check out Peach Tree City, Georgia. Check out Princeton, NJ, or Ocean City, NJ. Check out Saratoga, NY. Of course we have random horrible parts of cities. But equating all of America to that is just disingenuous.
What a horrible place. I was thinking of going on holiday to New York for five days after watching this. Absolutely not visiting this horrible dangerous, looking depressing scary place. you have showed me every reason why I should not go. thank you
@@rosalieriverachacon thank you for that, but for me to go, there would have to be a real hard sell not for me thank you. I shall stay in Europe and possibly visit Spain Italy somewhere a little more quiet. Thanks again
The woman pushing her child in a stroller through New York at three in the morning is unbelievable to me. The family sitting there with their children at the beginning also makes me sad and angry at the same time. Children should be in bed and asleep at three o'clock in the morning. Instead, they find themselves on the streets and exposed to danger. To see something like this in a supposedly civilized and progressive country is shocking.
A homeless guy what else? Its miserable because they are showing the miserable areas at 3AM. Perhaps watch vloggers who show more positive stuff. Like why celebrities live there?
You're right, Pharaoh. It is a miserable place, and the footage you're seeing is exactly what it looks like; the camera doesn't lie, and this is one of the better parts of the city. Now of course it is 3 AM in the city that never sleeps (it could use some rest it's gotta be exhausted) and it will become a lot more lively during the day but save yourself a trip and go elsewhere.
@@jessygarci cause rich people like dystopian areas. In an area with rules and order your money has much lesser value. But in dystopian areas you are the king with money cause money is king. It is so simple. Even the worst kind of things are much easier to get if most people around you are living is misery then when they are happy.
It is destroyed thanks to the democRATS. Real NYers gets for a long time know that pre covid NYC at 3am was not a ghost town and was very crowded with everything open and normal people enjoying themselves going out. Now it's empty lots of businesses closed and you mainly see only crazies, homeless, drug addicts, and the illegal migrants that invaded this sanctuary hell hole! It's filty smelly also.
That's wild! Our city streets are mostly bare at 3am. The only people that are out at that time are the homeless and those up to no good. Dude @17:22 sounded like a GTA 5 character. 😂
I've lived in North Jersey, which is basically "down the road" from NYC, most of my life. I've been to the city 100 times, and to this day, it still scares the living shit out of me.
NYC really is Gotham. As someone who works overnight in the heart of NYC, this just feels like a regular night. Thankfully, I'm not out on the streets at these hours, but when I need something from the store @midnight, I'm so accustomed to the pure chaos I see. My situational awareness is like that of a ninja because of it. I feel like an owl that can keep its head on a 360-degree swivel. It shouldn't feel normal, but it is... for me.
I have walked these streets countess times and have never seen them so desolate. The city looks broken. I have never been out there at that hour and thanksbto you, I never will 😮😮
Last time I was in New York was 1995 it left me so disturbed that I never returned and i live in nj at the time I don't know how these people do it every single day
I lived in New York for 27yrs and even before the migrant crisis we had had these problems, and I wish folks would stop blaming migrants because the city was always plagued with issues. NYC is the city that never sleeps so there's always something going on and nothing shocks me because I've seen it all.
The best time to walk around for window shopping is at night when all lights are on. During the day there is nothing like at night time. Anywhere you go in any country at night you will still meet the rogues and dirt. That is up to you of how you will behave.
NYC has always been like this. The misconception the world has about NYC is that it's a city where you can just randomly take casual walks and enjoy the view. Not at all! If you live in NYC, you plan everything you do outside of your expensive, tiny apartment. You don't just go out because you're bored and want some fresh air. If you want to buy a dozen eggs, pita bread, butter, and a Pepsi, you plan that shopping trip days in advance, map out your route on foot, and even schedule the exact time you'll get to the bodega, quickly grab your items, and walk back to your expensive, tiny apartment. If anyone is outside just chilling and hanging out, it’s because they’re looking for something you can’t buy at Walmart, Target, Amazon, or even a bodega, and I think you all know exactly what they’re looking for, because no one just hangs out on the streets without a specific reason. If you're going on a date night to a comedy club, a Broadway show, or a restaurant, you have the cab call your cell number to let you know they’ve arrived and are ready for you to come out and get in the cab, because you’re not going to be out there waiting for the cab to show up. When you walk out to the cab, you jump inside that cab without wasting any time.
@@ExperienceNewYorkCity You are half right. I'm not from NYC; I just lived there for several years when I was a child. My view and experience are from the perspective of a child. You don't just hang out on the streets unless you are looking for something illegal (drugs, prostitutes, etc.).
what the actual hell are you going on about? Walking around the city is one of the biggest past times... Hanging out at parks, sitting on a nice bench to chill and soak in the city... that's something every new yorker can relate to. Do you really think people in New York dont go outside? It's one of the healthiest cities in the country because of how often people are spending their free time outdoors. I sorta get the idea of not staying in one spot for too long; that's how you can attract crazies and undesirables. But to act like every person who's just relaxing on the streets is a dealer or junkie is absolutely ridiculous. Have you ever been here? If so, maybe the reason you felt so unsafe is because you are a pussy, and trust me, people can detect nervousness in NYC better than anywhere else in America. Edit; just saw you admit that you still have the mindset of a child with stranger danger, which confirms you are indeed a pussy cat. However I cant totally blame you, since it seems like your pussy cat parents probably instilled that fear into you for no reason.
I love being out at 3-4am its so quiet and still, vacant - like a dream state of reality that shouldn't be.. but this is different, looks more like 9pm vibes 😂
Being from a rural mountain area in the south, i could not handle that constant NOISE. Much less all those vile ppl. And trash, and pollution, just a RUDE existence.
In Adelaide Australia 3 am is dormant when it involves public activities. We are called the Nanny ( Grandmother ) State in Australia. Easier to control when everything closes by 11pm - 1pm.
Trash everywhere, homeless people everywhere, high cost of living, high crime rate, high taxes, concrete and flashing TV screens everywhere.....why the hell would anyone choose to live there? I honestly don't get it. I've never been, but several of my friends moved there after high school, lived for about a decade, and moved back. That was Manhattan....maybe that's decent, who knows. I just know you'd have to pay me a lot of money to live in NYC....far too many negatives and positives that remain a mystery to me.
it used to be great, now destroyed by democRAT policies and sanctuary status. 3am in the past would be very crowded on the streets and not just with dangerous elements but mostly normal people. It'll get even worse since NYC loves to votes democRAT.

This is EMPTY for the city. NYC was a LOT more crowded in the past and I only mean a short few years ago pre covid. They even had the after clubs you'd attend after the regular clubs closed at 4am and then you'd go eat breakfast at 6am. This is now EMPTY and overrun by crazies, homeless, drug addicts and dealers, hookers, and illegal migrants that flooded the city in the last few years. DESTROYED AND NOT THE SAME! US REAL BORN AND RAISED NYers KNOW THIS AND CAN SEE IT. Many left as a result. This video simply shows the raw truth. Thank a democRAT.
This is a huge difference from when I was younger in the early seventies. You always saw plenty of people but not this much. I only go to 5th Ave. on Veterans Day.
I was in New York in 2011, almost on the 10th anniversary of 9/11. I’ve never seen contrasts like Fifth Avenue and then, just 30 meters away, homeless people lying in the trash and who knows what else-nothing like this back in Poland, where I’m from. Seeing such images shatters the American Dream like a house of cards. Best regards!
I love taking the train in from metro park in Edison and just wandering around the city all night trying random food trucks, restaurants, bars and nightclubs with my friends. Staying out there late watching madness unfold. Sometimes you find good food and cool people. Sometimes you get food poisoning. Sometimes you find some cool looking bootleg shit for cheap, sometimes you get jumped and robbed. It’s always an adventure.
Amazing how closely the city resembles scenes from Taxi Driver in 1976. The filth and detritus paint a picture of a neon lit futuristic hellscape. The gravity of which makes it seemingly impossible to escape it's vast clutches.
The UA-cam channel cartoon peeps tv ran into the same group of crackheads you did talking about don’t record me lol, the UA-camr almost fought them but he eventually made them leave.
In my callow youth I was living that hustling street life. It's nice to view it now in retrospect and compare eras. I'm Gen X. Manhattan overnight is quite the place, even in winter. I've lived out in East Brooklyn (Brownsville) for over a decade now.
I live in Bulgaria and you might find 1 or 2 homeless people if you really search for it but we dont have such thing lmao like people sleeping on the ground with trash around them
You can still visit NYC for a few days to find out what it's like. In Chicago we are still breaking records for folks coming out to visit, regardless of lies told about us. We are so beautiful there. The only problem in NYC is how much it cost to live or visit there. But someone needs to be more creative about cleaning the city.
Nice early am surprise! Thanks Utube for the recommend 👍 I live in BK. These vids are giving me ptsd 😅 It's hectic out here rn, not even gone hold you!
They say we are "...prone to violence, but it's home sweet home"! The greatest gift I've ever received in life was being born, and raised in Brooklyn, NY! Ain't no other place I'd rather be.
People in 2124 might look back at 2024 with a mix of fascination and disbelief. Some might think, "Wow, look how far we've come!" while others could be shocked, exclaiming, "Wait, people walked freely on the streets at night without military or robocops stopping anyone who didn’t fit some arbitrary profile, demanding proof of citizenship?" It’s a reminder of how societal norms evolve and how the freedoms of one era can become almost unthinkable in another.
This is one side of part of Manhattan. Showing you these aspects gets the host a bunch of clicks. Those of us who live in NYC know better than to think this represents most of NYC.
I have... several times and it never bothered me. I used to walk through Riverdale at night with all those trees and shadows; I could have easily got attacked there!😶🌫️
I love videos like these (walking POVs). Also, this seems kinda similar to the city during the day. If you watch Cash Jordan’s videos, you’ll see that crime like shoplifting, assaults, and other heinous crimes are no different in the day than shown in this video. Hell I visited NYC many times and it’s this crazy
Just passed the building where my agency used to be on 31st Street, across from Jack's 99 store. I used to shop there all the time; I used to buy my pantyhose from there!🫢
To all those so quick to assume based off one video and wonder why the world has gone to crap. Show people one thing and they've got it all figured out. Never been there but quick to label. He showed you the Times Square area at 3am. It's NOTHING like that during the day. Also that is a very small few compressed (big to outsiders) block neighborhood. You have beautiful areas all around. The East Village The West Village Soho NoHo NYU. The Upper West Side The Upper East Side. Brooklyn Dumbo, Park Slope... Lots of areas to go and AMAZING things to see. Columbia, Radio City Music Hall, Lincoln Center, Rockafeller Center and Central Park were ALL literally just blocks away. LITERALLY!!! Between 3 and 10 blocks. And all the cool stuff is inside all those closed gloomy dark doors he passed too! Everything is just closed n seedy looking at night. Beautiful City. Don't judge from this one video. Too much is in play here. This is my more detailed comment below.. "Daytime isn't like this video at all. I live here. I think he should've shown day and night and the difference because THATS what makes it cool here. This video has thousands thinking this is NY 24/7. Daytime is a TOTALLY different world. All those dark gloomy doors are open. Mostly working class and tourists with kids shopping. Sidewalks are packed. Family friendly. Its always been (well not always as NY had changed) 2 different worlds here day and night and he really shouldve shown both. That is a small area called Times Square. NY is HUGE. 12 million people and you saw how many. Im seeing the comments with hundreds commenting how horrible it is. Do your homework. Its NOTHING like this during the day! You think the rich live here because it looks like this at night? Theres soooo much beautiful stuff behind those gloomy closed up building doors when theyre open during the day and areas that are beautiful and safe at night. Again, that area is Times Square (the thirst trap). All places have good and bad areas. I mean we have A LOT of breathtaking neighborhoods. Times Square neighborhood is so different during the day. Mostly tourists and working class. Dont let this video fool you. Again, do your homework. This city is amazing to visit. Expensive to live in but if you like to explore and want be amazed daily with beauty overkill for the next 50 even 100 years every single day then the high rent and seedy nightlife is so worth it. I can name over 100 things off the top of my head easy thats a beautifully memorable experience most of them in lovely areas. There's so much in and outside to see that I can promise with certainty. This video is EXTREMELY misleading if you base your opinion of NYC off this. He should have did a commentary explaining the contrast to those who he knows are easily mislead or naive." I'll add... Did you even notice when he walked past the car crash and reached the corner it had no homeless and looked cleaner so he turned back around to head back? It's only in that small area. It's spread out more as YOU spread out more. We have areas with beautiful brownstones and parks and small boutique shops and tree lined streets and historical buildings that fill blocks on top of blocks. Quiet areas that are beautifully lit at night and safe. We have ghetto areas and middle class areas and rich areas and quiet areas and loud areas and all mixed up areas and the times square area which you just watched (at night). Beautiful Rockefeller Center was right there around the corner from the car crash where he looked down the block b4 turning around at the end and going back so was Radio City Music Hall which is across the street. 3 short blocks, and so was Bryant Park going the opposite way and 5 blocks past that was Grand Central Station. If you walk 3 more blocks from there you are in a BEAUTIFUL neighborhood around 41st and YORK. Quiet tree lined briwnatone street with a view over the water to Queens. He just needed to walk along 41st st towards the end at the fdr drive. Just do your homework and don't judge a book by its cover. Especially when the cover is nothing but a corner piece of it! Hope this helps you to study NYC and all it has a bit more... Ugh at the simpletons. Easily misled, easily convinced.
Funny how the media and marketing folks make places in NYC absolutely charming.....places like Broadway and probably where the RICH and FAMOUS go and hang out or rent a room (they CAN afford it cuz they ARE $$$$$$$$$).
I've always loved visiting NYC, but I couldn't imagine living there because of the noise. I get calls from headhunters from time to time about jobs in NYC. Is there anywhere to live in Manhattan that is quiet?
NYC is where my heart is ❤. Thank you for raising me since birth. I will never forget you…or the mice poop and roach poop I’ve inhaled throughout the days my parents couldn’t afford a decent place to stay. It helped toughen my immune system. Thank you NYC… …particularly Brooklyn. XOXO

midtown manhattan a no go? lol. cmon, it's still safe compared to bronx and most parts of queens and brooklyn at night. i used to drink in midtown to 4am and stumble to a cab never not once touched by a thug.

True, well said
That's not true!

I just watched your 1M+ video of 3AM in New York City two days ago. Thanks for uploading again and filming what has become a third world country.
What is the definition of a third world country??? The US isnt one.

To see something like this in a supposedly civilized and progressive country is shocking.
you must be new here this goes on in every city around tthe world how delusional are you

They are getting a credit card and a free hotel room on us the tax payer, don't feel sad.
But this is what they left their country for....
Seems like a miserable place, also that dude in the beginning who said he’d break your camera😂
@jessygarci these are the nice areas. 😄 It gets a lot more miserable than this and not just at 3 am.
@@jessygarci cause rich people like dystopian areas. In an area with rules and order your money has much lesser value. But in dystopian areas you are the king with money cause money is king. It is destroyed thanks to the democRATS. Real NYers gets for a long time know that pre covid NYC at 3am was not a ghost town and was very crowded with everything open and normal people enjoying themselves going out. It shouldn't feel normal, but it is... for me.

Cabs are used to that and charge waiting fees immediately now.
From your comment I can tell you’re not from NY and never lived here LMAO
@@ExperienceNewYorkCity You are half right. I'm not from NYC; I just lived there for several years when I was a child. My view and experience are from the perspective of a child. You don't just hang out on the streets unless you are looking for something illegal (drugs, prostitutes, etc.).
Sounds like a nightmare
what the actual hell are you going on about?

He should have did a commentary explaining the contrast to those who he knows are easily mislead or naive."
I'll add...
