Adrian, thank you so much for raising awareness of bullying and talking about my brother Eden. Bullying is far too common in our society and it's a hard topic to talk about but everyone needs to realise words, actions and online comments hurt. Eden would have loved that you mentioned him in one of your videos, I just wish it was for another reason. To whoever is reading this comment please please remember: Just be kind to one another

Good man Adrian, you spoke very well. I'm sure the family will appreciate it. As a father of 7 I've had a few instances of bullying with my daughter who is disabled but still wanted to attend the same school as her brother's and sisters.
Thankfully the school took action as did the parents on both sides and her three older brothers may have had a part in it as well. The element of social media making it almost impossible to escape is

Adrian, another great video with a very important and poignant message. My thoughts go out to the family of the young fella. Bullying is the scourge of youth nowadays and as you said, at least years ago you could escape from it but with the advent of social media etc it’s relentless and 24/7. Something needs to change. 👍

Adrian , great video, bully's pick a target and others are sometimes afraid to speak out as they could be the next target but the old saying goes "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing". in my day we had bullies in our school but there was one difference we all got together and took care of that problem and on more bullies there

Well said Adrian, bullies are the lowest of the low, i was at school in the 1970's, bullying stayed at school which was bad enough but now with social media they can get to you all the time, keyboard warriors, people don't let them get to you, there is a saying, people can't insult you unless you let them, which is so true, stand strong because its the bullies who are weak.

A tip for those timbers, before concreting give them a rub of diesel or burnt oil. They'll pop off easy as.

Good video. A few suggestions, add stone to the mix to make concrete. Sand and cement = mortar. If constructing a concrete slab to drive on, add a sheet of steel mesh. Keep the mesh 50mm (2 inches) from the bottom of the slab i.e. resting on bricks.
Was wondering about the steel as well, although we used to do it exactly like it's done here with stones. Worked well in walls but we had a bad habit of skimping too much on floors and had our fair share of cracks.
The bit on your drill that slides up and down is for holding screws with, so if for some reason you can’t hold the screw with your other hand, you put it In that, and it holds it in place for you as you use the drill 👍 great video mate 🙂

That’s a sad story about young Eden. I too was bullied at school many years ago because I was very quiet. I fought back one day and that helped put an end to it. As you say, it’s so much more difficult now with social media. However, on the other hand there’s so much more help available nowadays, something we didn’t have years ago. Nobody should have to suffer bullying today. Please seek help.

A great video Adrian in which you demonstrated again the quality in your work, your commitment to making regular improvements (lick buckets) and your love for your family. You should be commended for speaking with genuine passion about the tragic death of this young man and I agree with you completely that bullying is a major, widespread problem which deserved to be mentioned.
Love the sound of the lister diesel mixer. I mixed alot of mortar with one. They easy to start hold the compression turn the handle till you hear it chripping let go the compression and take out the handle and away she goes
For the Impact bits get yourself a few high speed tool steel bits. i got some 7yrs ago and only broken 1 so far (DIY jobs). Ebay has loads. Great that you bring up the awful blight of bullying. No one should suffer nevermind suffering alone, theres always someone to speak to, hard to do initially but it'll help longterm.

Its fantastic Adrian that you stopped during the video to bring to light these horrendous and cowardly acts to peoples attention, very sorry to hear of that young mans passing very sad indeed, as a society there should be more public awareness via tv ads etc etc, i’m from Cork originally but reside here Montreal Canada and here it is not acceptable at all and you can be in alot of trouble for doing such a thing, awareness via schools, tv ads, etc, great job as always 👍

You want to be using Milwaukee impact driver bits, dewalt are shocking quality in comparison! Also that sleeve on the barrel (nice addition in my eyes) is for holding screws on the bit whilst using the drill/driver one handed.
Great video. Good job on the base it turned out well. Well said on the bullying as someone who was bullied and didn't tell anyone for years. I would urge anyone who is bullied to speak up about it as there is lots of people to help including parents friends teachers etc. Nobody should have to put up with it and go through it alone. All problems can be sorted no matter how big they seem at the time.
Well done Adrian. More people need to speak up about bullying. It happens during the formative years and can be devastating as with the story of this young man.
Honestly, if you see bullying going on and do nothing you're just as complicit. Speak up, the bullies are cowards. Thankfully when I was in school we had no social media.

Great advice to those that are being bullied. Our hearts go out to that family and all the other families and those that have gone through that abuse..You won’t regret buying a bin..
i knew a farmer many years ago that had a small dumper, he left the starting handle on the crank shaft so he did not loose it. then one day when he used the dumper the starting handle ratchet was seized so the handle span round at a scary speed . when it did come loose it through the handle 40 plus feet in the air . very lucky that could of killed some one. the moto of the story is always keep your handle lubricated.

At that depth a tamping will board will remove most of the entrapped air Adrian, worth remembering that for every 1% of entrapped air left in the concrete, it loses 5-7% of its strength and durability. Seems like you forgot the curing though !
Like yourself Eden wasn’t a million miles away from me and I know a lot of people who knew Eden . I found the story very relatable and very shocking at first and it’s hard to believe that there no legal sense to online bullying . It’s definitely something that should happen over the next few years with the popularity in of social media .

Nicole I also grew up on a farm and your father giving you his jacket made me giggle - my mother had a ruling about going out to farm with either her or our father - the rule was "I'm cold so you are cold" - she did not care if we were not cold we had to put socks and boots on, overalls and take a jacket - so I think your Dad needs to include the ruling "I'm cold so you are cold"

The DeWalt sliding bit holder is for long screws it hold them straight white you screws in, just slide it forward when screwing the long screws In had you used it while putting the forms together you would have seen it in action😆😆😆 keep up the sterling work. 100% agree with the bullying point. Great video Adrian. As a person who was bullied in school it really affected my mental health. It wasn’t until I spoke about it when things began to change. What bullies don’t realise is things catch up with them. By chance I was asked to sit on an interview panel recently and who showed up for an interview, the main bully from school. His reaction was to squirm and avoid eye contact. When the interview finished he reached out to shake hands and said, I know I’m not going to get this job because of our past but I want to apologise for what I put you through.
So sorry for Eden and I’ll be keeping his family in my thoughts.
(10 mins in) I love this channel and have enjoyed every video I've watched but your comments on bullying really struck a chord with me, well done for saying what you did Adrian, I have no doubt your words will help some people cope and get help, I know one young lad who has given up school over it and I doubt he'll ever go back, it's awful on young people now the bullying is constant and a whole new level since we were young, it's a very tough world for young people nowadays, they might not have so much of the hard physical work to do as we had but they are under so much pressure mentally, well done again for speaking up, we all should stand up and call out these bullies for the cowards they are. They always pick on the best people because of their own inadequacies.

I got bullied in school when I was 14, I was always a quiet boy, respected everyone, never got in trouble, I was a fit lad to, I never punched anyone because I was really strong and I was afraid I'd really hurt someone. So he couldn't do the job on his own, so he bought 5 of his friends, and when they couldn't do the job they bought 14 friends, which I thought were meant to be lads I was friendly with, that's what upset me the most, really got me depressed. It never hurt me physically, just mentally. They saw it on cctv. Kids didn't care that they got in trouble, they never changed. During summer half term I picked myself up, and from then on if anyone tried to bully my friends they had to get through me first, and the same if I ever saw someone getting bullied I'd put a stop to it, and I'd tell them to hang out with me and my friends so I could keep them safe.

The poor treatment in the posts is just where they were when they were dipped in the creosote pool. All the posts are packed up together and dipped. The ones in the middle will be bad and as you go out they get better. That’s why one of the post is well treated on one side and has very little treatment on the other because it was right up beside another post.
Love your show Adrian. Well said your comments on the bullies of this world. Regarding your use of 4inch screws on shuttering. Not safe as they break and also strip tips. Try using self tap or post drive gal teck head screws or posi drive batten screws.They are up to 250 MIL and can also be reused with a 3x8 hex tip or 10 MIL lasts 4ever
Very important message about the bullying issue Adrian, and so sorry to hear about another young life lost. As a parent, it's a big worry, particularly as they head towards their teens. There needs to be a serious ramp up in education on this, and the social media companies need to play their part. The technology is there to detect bullying in the sentiment of messages.

There should be zero tolerance of bullying, unfortunately this is so often not the case. It is so prevalent as well for both young and adults. In fact work environments can be worse than schools as one can't expect much support from the HR department, whose primary objective is to protect the organization and not the individual. Listening to Joe Duffy, parents who had issues in schools recommended acting fast and just changing schools. Get the child out of there asap.
