  • Let's get some of that Arizona gold with professional gold prospector, Josh New! Learn how to get to the paydirt using old mining methods without heavy equipment!
    Today, we are taking a look into the systems it takes to move paydirt without heavy equipment into a fully enclosed gold processing loop system that recycles water and runs on battery power.
    We go step by step in realtime about what it takes to get the gold out of the ground, including a walkthrough of all the gold processing equipment, from the trommel wash plant and the high banker, down to the water recycling system and the water pump.
    It is not easy moving dirt by hand, and up here in the Greaterville Placers, heavy equipment is not allowed. Therefore, these guys have no choice but to put the hard work into moving the paydirt, much like how the old miners used to do it.

    Awesome finds! To put it into perspective, if you are getting 1/2 gram of gold in 1/2 a yard, expanding it out to 1 gram for one yard, depending on the price of gold, that's approx. $80 to $95 a yard. Great to see you using the Micro Mat.

      I think it is in the profitable zone when he hits a good pocket, not to mention the probability of gold syrocketing in price . . . . I don't see that not happening!

    This dude is on the same wave as me when it comes to tools
    Go to a sheet metal shop and have them make you a stainless steel thick gauge dust pan and other tools that you design.

    I have been to where you were mining. Is there gold in those holes if someone was to expand them out further. I have been mining here in Arizona for almost a year now and haven’t found a thing yet. I guess that my knowledge of river mining doesn’t help me much in the desert. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks great videos. Love your rock hounding video also

      Josh has found pretty good gold in this area lately. I struggle to find gold in AZ, I am used to Montana. I think a lot of AZ was already mined out back in conquistador days, so I have heard! Have you tried tertiary riverbeds?

    A "cubic yard" of the dirt is approximately (depending upon compaction) 44 buckets. That's a lot of digging 😳.

      Uh yeah...... You wouldn't BELIEVE the amount of dirt Josh moves to find the gold, all by hand! Thats probably why he doesn't have an ounce of body fat on him!!!

    For me ... It is very much about being the first to ever see the color I find , and may never choose to sell into our GDP. Every bit we find and sell in the USA increases our GDP , our Nations $$

    !/2 a gram of gold for all that work, thats like $25 , hardly worth it.

    • @RusticSkills
      @RusticSkills  3 місяці тому

      I 100% agree with your statement! These guys out here are working hard for every bit, hoping to find a deep pocket of gold, but the odds are very low because this area was already worked hard in the late 1800s, but then there was a landslide that completely covered and changed the geology. So they hope so hard but I don't think it is worth all the efforts without machinery. This is why I prefer to rockhound, better payoff!
