This episode we travel west to Arizona to prospect for a gold claim. We have spent months researching and planning. Now is the time to put boots on the ground in search of that elusive shiny. We travel with our friend Jimbo and bring our Minelab Gold Monster and GPX 5000 to detect for gold nuggets.
There are different ways of doing this and we are still learning through trial and error. I guess you could always just buy a gold claim but whats the fun in that! If you do buy a gold claim, be sure to go out and test before you buy!

Happy 4th! I appreciate the honesty of showing a video like this. There are definitely a LOT more "where not to find gold" places in the world (even in Arizona) than stakeable claims with good potential. Hopefully the thrill of the hunt accounts for a good chunk of the gold at the end of your rainbow. That way, you never lose. Best of luck in your prospecting. I hope you find what you seek. Would a good 4x4 pickup or jeep have been small enough or allowable to get back in the places you were prospecting in the side by side?
Just being out exploring is incredible. Gold is just a bonus, lol. Most of places we explored you could get to in a jeep or small 4x4 as long as you had good clearance. A few spots would have been a bit hairy though. The other thing is a jeep or vehicle would take 2 to 3 times longer compared to something like a Can Am. Thanks for your comment and good luck to you!
@@WanderingBuffalos So cool you had the right type of vehicle for the job. It is also cool to know the places didn't have legal restrictions about the type of vehicle you can try to access them with. That Can Am is pretty good size/ not THAT much smaller than a smaller Jeep, but quite a bit smaller than a full size pickup. I take it the 2-3 times longer has more to do with being able to squeeze through tight spaces than clearance over rocks, etc? Thanks for sharing your explorations.

Save yourself some work buy a pinpointer! Swing detector in an arc you’ll cover more area by doing so!

It's even more challenging if you do your due diligence in advance to ensure you are not prospecting on other folks' claims. If I could just get faster at that, I sure could cover a lot more ground.

Just found you guys! Subscribeded, my wife and I are starting to get out and find the candy ourselves, also on a UA-cam channel. Check us out if you guys have time, we are in Indiana and also prospect Michigan. Love the specific info on research! We also spend a lot of time looking into areas online trying to find that perfect spot. Been playing around beach mining which is fun and gets u plenty o the black sand to toy with. Very much look forward to the next.
Why would claims be given out ( sold ) in the bradshaws and you c ant even get into with a truck. Is this how this company does business? If so I'm go ok nv to the internet with this scam
