    GreenShocker by Andersons is a fast release 7-1-2 fertilizer comprised of fast release nitrogen and fortified with iron and humic acid for a quick deep greening. Andersons advertises that results are obvious in 2-3 days with results lasting weeks. I put this product to the test and the results speak volumes.

      Thanks again. Yes, it stinks to see the season winding down but its always nice to take a break and recharge. Something the cool season folks get to do. Usually by January I've had enough rest and can't wait to get back at it.

    Hey Russ, your lawn looks great! I’m a fan of Anderson products and first I’m hearing about this particular product. About to put down their Barricade pre-emergent. I’m a good two months out of my overseed so should be safe to apply. I’m going to order Green Shocker but wait til the spring to apply. My lawn looking pretty good right now.
    My plan this week here in NY is to get down winterizer and pre-emergent. By the way, I watched your overseed video using GCI Blue Heat. I overseeded with their Cool Blue and it looks great! You would be happy with it. Loving the tall fescue! Looking forward to next video.

      Thurston appreciate your update. Yes, I'm also getting ready to do one last fert with pre-emergent. I feel it gives me some winter protection if we get a mild February, weeds start popping. Definitely save the GreenShocker for a special event. I may use it again next sprint, maybe for Easter and/or Memorial Day weekend.
      I think I will go Cool Blue next time, see how that combines with the rest of my salad bowl.
      Keep in touch.

    Hey Russ I will start by saying your lawn looks amazing! I have a question… I noticed Greenshocker is a 7-1-2, same as that of SuperJuice 7-1-2 when applying at the rate of 1 cup per 3,000 sq ft. Are these two products essential the same thing with the exception of one being a granular and the latter being liquid?

    • @LawnJourneys
      @LawnJourneys  2 роки тому

      I never noticed that they're both 7-1-2, I tried super juice a few years ago, kinda liked it, maybe give it a shot agina this year. If the macros are both 7-1-2 then I would say yes, they're essentially the same from the macro stand point. I do like applying liquids and often supplement with my lawn ferts with liquid bio stims. I think liquid can give you more uniform coverage and you don't suffer the consequences of your particulate fert running all over after a down pour. There's surly more than one way to get it down. With that said I would see what the difference is, between the two, as far as the micros are concerned. If you have any deficiencies (should you soil test), it may help you decide which way you want to go this season.
      I'm always trying something new and also keeping cost in mind too. Have a great turf season.

      Had so much fun with Green Shocker I bought more last week. Hope to get it out this coming week or so. Maybe I’ll share results again. It’s the last blast of the season and fun to end on a dark green “note.”

    Andersons provides some quality products, but their products are very expensive, the DG particle's are awesome and peril size of their products is very consistent. Lawn looks good

    • @LawnJourneys
      @LawnJourneys  2 роки тому

      Agree but the results are worth it. With that said, GreenShocker is a 1-2 times a year app in my book. Fast release for special use. Thanks for watching the vid. 🙂

    • @MyGreenLawn2019
      @MyGreenLawn2019 2 роки тому

      @@LawnJourneys I would agree about the special occasion use lol. But you could also use Chelated Liquid Iron, does a great job and its a lot cheaper! I have a video on my channel about Iron, check it out. I have used Andersons products, like Humichar, which is also very expensive. I'm moving away from their products cuz there's cheaper options. Also, when they first released the carbon based product, it was like $75. It sold out right away, they then raised the price to $85 with the promise of lowering it (That was 2 years ago) again and they never have. Makes me wonder about the way Andersons in doing business. Great video though and a beautiful lawn.

    • @MyGreenLawn2019

      @@LawnJourneys I mostly use Southern AG Chelated Liquid Iron, I have also used Lesco Iron Plus 12-0-0 it has 6% Chelated Iron and some Micro Nutrients. I mostly use the Southern AG. I have a few videos on my channel on liquid iron. Dont forget to use a surfactant when using liquid products.

    Very beautiful lawn sir. But it’s just so dang expensive to put down if you have 10k sq ft or more. But nevertheless you do have a great looking lawn. Newly subscribed.

    Can you mix it with hot water spray it on

    • @LawnJourneys
      @LawnJourneys  Рік тому +1

      I wouldn't. You'd have to do some math to figure out the concentration so you know the application rate per gallon of mix. I do some backpack spraying but with products that are supposed to be applied as liquid.
