I would like to just say the beeping on the radar system can easily be turned off by pressing the button in the middle. Typically Ashley not to read the instructions. Thanks for watching 👍
For the Garmin Varia system for push bikes, even the standard "multi beep" sound (a multi tone jingle when it starts detecting vehicles, and one when danger is over) out of the head unit is a little much too for me, but the single beep mode is a nice little reminder to do a shoulder check. I, and the people around me on the cycle path would be going crazy if it goes on continuously. Usually the system detects early enough to safely do a shoulder check, and then divide my attention to front, back and watching the dot on the screen.
Biker myself and I get the camera system but that radar warning system seems overkill, especially at 300 quid when you should already have your head on a swivel and try to always be aware of things approaching, I'd rather not become reliant on tech like that and use my own awareness for free.
I have used the mirrors for 60 years and not had a problem, the radar detector is a gimmick for me. The camera system is useful, especially if you have an accident - and it's not your fault. The police take them, so if it is your fault ....
I put blind spot mirrors on the inner side of my mirrors where my elbows usually are visible, they allow me to see if a car is overtaking etc without shoulder checking every few seconds. Still should shoulder check during lane changes though
The blind spot sensor needs 3 different pitches or sounds to distinguish between left, right, and immediately behind, so you don't need to look down. Or even just one beep for left, two for right, three for behind.
It wont let you know when a car is doing your speed. Suicidal to rely on it for all your information. Keep track of it with your mirrors when alerted, which you shoud lhave used to spot itin the frist place. The only reason to use a rear radar is if youhave no mirrors and rarely look behind you such as your average cyclist. As it doesn't always notify you,you will have an accident eventually due to poor observation and relaince on the device.
I would like to think that it beeps in your left ear or right ear depending on where the detection was detected. Don't know if it works like that, but it should.
Without wanting to sound like a Gen X old man, just go out and ride. Reading a map and planning a route is a life skill everyone should possess. My son recently passed his bike test and has a phone mount and is looking at getting a helmet audio thing / intercom. Blind spot warning systems? car play? AI? rage screaming at my ‘smart’ speakers in the house / car, and siri / google navigating me to a place name they can’t understand or a different country across the atlantic you don’t need the distractions. Enjoy & ride your ride. 👍🏼
Yes, if you need route information then it's on paper with waypoints on the tank in a waterproof clear bag, or tank bag. You rarely need to go far enough for it to be a problem without needing to stop and refuel when you can switch the paper to the next set of instructions. It's made even easier to plan routes now with StreetView as you can visualize what is going to be there before you leave.
A phone pouch is as cheap as a map pouch, but it has every map in the world, live road closures/traffic info, a gps dot so you can't lose track, and even calculates and reads out the directions so you don't have to look down. I understand your aversion, people seem to add gadgets for the sake of technology as much as for the benefits, but navigation is one area where those benefits are pretty clear.
@@gordon861 Spot on, I've been doing paper maps for years. Unless you are doing an Iron Butt rally you are going to take a break every 100km or so (depending on the size of your bladder and gas/petrol tank). Plenty of time to check your way points/directions.
Exactly, my moped is from 1989, it has no fancy gadgets and I don't have a phone mount. I use google maps and my memory to plan my route before I go somewhere, and if I do get lost it takes 2 minutes to pull over and check. I'm not old either.

Interesting comment at the end about adjusting to the beeps. Not sure that would be something I could do as I find certain beep tones to be distracting. It is one reason I have disabled the audiable tone in my car for the central warning system, especially in colder weather. I don’t need a beep every few minutes to let me know the temperature has gone from 4.5 degrees to 4.0 degrees, I am happy with the light being displayed and looking when I can look. I refer back to my original comment, I think the kit could be refined more to be better subjective, or at least configurable to be more subjective, based upon the rider and how they want the system to operate 👍
The blind spot detector looks like a useful addition but I think it could be refined slightly (this is coming from someone who doesn’t ride so could be completely wrong on what I am saying) If the engineers / design team are reading this, ask for feedback from those using the device as I suspect not many will proactively contact you with ideas. But a couple from me having seen it in action for a few minutes… A mute / acknowledge button so you can stop the beep for 30 seconds while you approach or are waiting at lights. I don’t think it needs to go off everytime and could end up being ignored or removed if it becomes too annoying Have a little GPS unit inside so if vehicle speed is
Got to disagree, there are no pillars to create a blindspot on a motorcycle, so technically they don't exist. This is just an excuse to not look properly, and in my book that's just dangerous. In fact all this sh1t in the bars area just looks like a load of unnecessary distraction IMHO
Being a motorcyclist and an Engineer, the blind spot thing is useless IMO. If you don’t do head checks, before a manoeuvre you don’t belong on a motorcycle. The Engineers or Marketing group are creating a product that has no use. It’s a solution to a problem that does not exist and it designed to part fools from their money.
It was a smaller unit, but I hated having my GPS down on the bars like that, and have since mounted anything above the main clocks. Much less of a bend to look at, and (in the GPS's case) way easier to reference when riding offroad
If you're worried about being distracted by the blind spot system you can switch the bleeper off (RTFM?). The early ones resets to being "on" each time you switch the ignition off/on but the latest version keeps the current option you've chosen until you change it. I have the mirror version rather than the watch type you have and the beeper is located in the control unit that sits under the seat etc so I can't hear it once on the move as I wear earplugs. I find it useful in busy traffic and on motorways in particular as an extra set of eyes but it doesn't replace my usual observations. Dashcams for me are a no brainer
This is a really good point. As a kid, I saved up for a speed computer for my mountain bike. Within a week of fitting it, I can cycled I to the back of a parked car from staring at the speed, not the road. Use of these devices is about user bandwidth. If you are used to the bike and all the current features then you will have more bandwidth than with a new bike. The same applies to adding new equipment. If you add a load of new stuff then you'll have more bandwidth introducing them gradually like you did, rather than trying to cope with loads of new systems all at once. Clearly depends on the user. Look at pilots who have to scan across multiple instruments while in control of a vehicle in 3D space!
Bikers don’t need things like abs and traction control I’ve had my triumph 1200 for 31 years and never needed them and that’s with 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 150 mph And if you have a blind spot turn your head ! If you feel uncomfortable on the road do the enhanced rider scheme it will transform your riding
I've seen the Innov blind-spot system in another channel and although it's a hugh quality product, I honestly can't see the use for it. Just assume the answer is "Yes" if you're wondering whether there's something in your blind spot and do a head check. Even a convex stick-on blindspot mirror would work better. In fact that's what I have on mine. Too much technology for minimum gain.
Also not sure if it's an option but I'd consider mounting the proximity gadget just below one of the mirrors on the stem, this would be more complimentary, check mirror and blue lights together.
Not sure I’d be showing my house given motorbike theft is so rampant… I have a great Carpuride system for Apple Carplay - once you’ve got more saddle time you’ll find it much less distracting, as everything slows down once riding becomes an extension of you. Carpuride also works with gloves on…
I would much prefer to have a blind-spot monitor work with the mirrors like on cars rather than offset, down on the bars. One of the good things on a bike is how in touch you are with your surroundings. A lot of this stuff seems to detract from that.
@@gray100 You might want to resit your functional skills English before you start rubbishing people's comments, old chum. Let's start with a simple question: which part of what I wrote suggests that life-saver checks should be discarded?

@PedroConejo1939 semantics... I've got better things to do, pal. Personally I'd have typed, screw all the gadgets do it the proper way. But that's just me. Have a good day 👍
Be aware that if you buy the Aoocci system with the cameras that despite it being advertised as a 1080p system it's only a 1080n system which is a much lower quality and size format. HD 1080P is 1920 by 1080 pixels or 2.1 megapixels. 1080N on the other hand is only 1080 by 960 pixels or 1 megapixel. Aoocci have admitted their advertising have got it wrong and are going to alter it, they probably won't though. Apart from the camera/recording let down the rest of the system is good and works well.
I've got ABS on my bike these days, traction control offers a little comfort on a winter night when the roads start to glisten, audio only satnav for when I'm lost. But that's the lot for me so far.
My wife is a paramedic. Went to a guy on a bmw that had rear-ended a car. He was looking at the flashing abs light on his bike and didn't realise the car had stopped in traffic. Brusies and a broken ankle. He was not happy they had to cut off his new bmw boot off!
The blind spot device is in the wrong location, move it to sit just on top of the speedo cluster. That way once it's in your eyeline kill the bleeps and rely on the flashing, it might need a shroud to give it shade. Regarding the cameras, I think car cameras should switch to a camera and recorder as separate devices, it would make for a cleaner install, and perhaps allow you to fit an SSD instead of an SDcard.
The proximity device is as you said fitted in the wrong place, I'd even try the mirror stalk for better eyeline placement. The beeps I'd only use on motorways.
Had a varia rear radar on a bicycle to warn me of vehicles behind. It fell of on bumpy ground whilst doing 40mph down a hill, don't miss it. It's alerts didn't help as I already knew what was behind due to using my mirrors. At times, it didnt detect cars I knew were there such as a car that would enter a roundabout at my speed behind me and follow me.
You need to be careful with those as they can slow the data transfer rate to the point files become corrupted and unusable Direct connection guarantees a transfer rate for the device and card 👍
Two thing for that radar that would be good for me, not a biker though. Hide it away as the display is distracting and mostly pointless. Two separate tones for left/right so you can learn which side to check from the sound. Very useful though.
"now i'm becoming more of a driving and riding psychologist than a driving instructor" had me dying for some reason. Great video as per usual ashley! Keep up the good work!
Hey man, I hope you don't mind if I try to give you some advice here, it's not anything big, I just wanted to share my experience with you. I'm a vegitarian and used to always stray away from using real leather in my clothes, that was the mindset I brought towards motorbike gear, I bought high tech and expensive jackets and jeans that were meant to be just as good as leather (so they said)... either way, I came off doing 40 and slid down the road about 10-15 meters, the armour held up and didn't tear, but the heat transfer was the issue, it was so severe that I ended up with burns all down my arms and knees. My advice that I give to every rider is to use fabric gear for in town riding only, anything faster than 30 I strongly recommend wearing leather armour as the heat transfer is much less intense, and if youre going on the motorway, personally id be scared to use fabric armour, hence why moto gp riders will always wear leather. This is my own personal opinion and I'm sure many riders will disagree, I just base it on my own personal experience.
It isn't an "either/or" thing. Some accessories are really helpful, other really distracting. For me, riding time is about me and the roads. The less distractions from that, the better but if there's something that's genuinely helpful then I'm up for it. I think cameras are a good idea - both to record if anything interesting happens and also in case there's a dispute following an incident of some sort. I do like the idea of ABS and traction control on bikes - but I know why a lot of people don't.
@4:01 You came across as being a little surprised by a Road closure which, having reviewed the footage, wasn't a surprise to me. I had noted the signs @3:01 and believe that you were probably more focused upon the vlog....... I suggest that Autopilot had kicked in because of this. So...... distracted as a result? Probably. Don't take me wrong, Ashley. Been there, done it and got a T shirt to prove it 🤣😁. It is very difficult to concentrate on two things at once. I prefer less "tech" and more Old School roadcraft but that is just my opinion. One size does not fit all. Excellent review, regardless.
@@ashley_neal I always wait until the actual Road closed sign. On a bike you can often nip round a much shorter side street/road than the official diversions that go for miles as they are for all vehicles.
@@ashley_neal The only reason I reviewed the footage was purely for the relevant timestamps. Thank you for confirming that my gut instinct was on point. Is thr sound on the 3rd eye the same for left, right and behind or are there different sounds so you can distinguish by sound or is there a requirement to take your eyes off the road to see the screen?
A blind spot detector in a car would always light up, but only beep when the indicator is on. Should this one have an indicator input? Or maybe only be turned on when an indicator is on…?
As a motorcyclist, that beeping from the blindspot device would begin to annoy me very quickly. I get annoyed and distracted when my Tomtom is talking to me when it's not piped into my headset and is coming out of its built in speakers instead. If I had one fitted I'd switch the audible alerts off if possible and integrate a check of the device when performing my mirror and shoulder check before making a manoeuvre. What was the rationale behind mounting the CarPlay device to the handlebars? Instead of looking for a crossbar mounted behind the windshield (so riders side) to which you could mount the CarPlay device just above the dash? Was it cost, using the peripherals that came with the device or potential risk of distraction? Thanks for the video Ashley.
I think I'll stick without all the gadgets. I've not tried blind spot cameras; I would be concerned that they won't give enough information. At speed I wouldn't be able to hear the beeps I expect. I'd rather use my eyes and head movements and maintain situational awareness that way than rely on a gadget. I occasionally use a phone as a satnav if I need to be somewhere. Getting lost is a good part of a general ride though. It helps you find new roads. If you have one, it's better having it higher up I reckon. Accessory bar behind the screen so you aren't spending time looking down. Distractions are bad enough in a car On a bike they can be far worse. At the lights when you were distracted did you really get your checks in? Did you check your mirrors only or actually shoulder check? Did you rely on waiting for beeps? (Not a criticism - it's always hard to tell with action cameras).
The bike content is fantastic at making other road users aware of the vulnerabilities a motorcyclist faces. ❤ Ps: bridge Rd motorcycles is expensive. Just a suggestion but I've found mersey motorcycles and zr motorcycles (2 doors away) to be very reasonable price wise and they are both very very diligent. They are both on derby Rd so your spoilt for choice. I found the beeping distracting from here bit like Chinese water torture. If there was an option to turn it off in town and rely on the visual blue light I'd go for that but use the beep on motorways where accidents end with more consequences and where wind impacts what you can hear around you. Great content again.
I run a Gopro hero 10 with pass though door on front and a Gopro max 360 on the rear of the motorcycle this means if someone goes through a red light my rear camera will see my brake lights and down both sides of the motorcycle
Nice piece of kit that radar system and I like the analogy you’ve come up with, gives an excuse to look in the mirrors If I’d have known of a camera set up, power supply that you’ve got I would have gone for that rather than using battery powered action cameras I’m looking forward to summer content, viewers meet up maybe?
Ashley what helmet cam and mount are you using? I've got a dash cam fitted to my bike but I'd like a camera that looks where I'm looking too. Thanks, love the bike content 👌
Interesting to see another perspective on these gadgets , I’m using a K3 dashcam , and slightly tempted by the 3rd Eye , but I think the version that attaches to each mirror is more appealing to me . As it would be additional info as part of mirror checks , perhaps triggering a lifesaver look as well . I also think these manufacturer are missing a trick by not adding a Bluetooth low energy link to motorcycle intercoms . 😃🍻
I have a C7, not C5, Android Auto/Apple Carplay display I imported from China. I mount it on a bar behind the screen, so it is clear of my Experia dash. I can see over both, as the bike has an upright sitting position. The display's second bluetooth channel cannot pick up my Sena helmet audio, so I have to take 2 channels from my phone - video to the display, audio to the helmet. On long rides, my phone's battery saving stops the connection to the screen, so everything disappears. That's a problem with my phone, not the display.
That extra screen not being central would do my head in. Aside from that it is much much better to have a SatNag above the standard TFT. With the best will in the world, you will look down at the map, and the the other additions to the bars making them distractions. The Innov footage looks good and it is nice to see they have switched back to smaller bullet cam style cameras, which are easier to install/locate. I'm certainly tempted. Having to dismantle so much to get to the SD card though is a pain and I'd be looking to place the main unit much more accessible than that. Tech is great, many cars/bike have blind spot detection now BUT usually in the mirrors, where you are looking, so this 3rd party one is a 'no thanks' for me.
All that beeping would drive me nuts. If it's a blind spot warning, it's not a mirror check you should do, but a blind spot/shoulder check, because the blind spot is massive for a motorcyclist. Better to build that blind spot check into your system of motorcycle control than rely on an annoying beep to remind you?
Technology overload. All the tech on that bike….if it falls over……😬 Love the look of that frame that is the actual bike. Just fin a tech upgrade at home and was very stressful for 2w. You change 1 thing and it causes all sorts of problems. Made much worse if let down by customer service as in my case. Adding on all that extra tech…needs to be done properly as with a car. I know a few car owners who had reliable 2nd hand cars, had a load of electronics bolted to the electrical system and then encountered reliability issues with the car such as drained battery. Very smooth relaxed ride. Sort of an engine with plenty of low down torque.
I think, for me, that the worst bit of kit is the location of the helmet cam. Seems like Ashley really needs to rotate his head down to look at the instruments due to the helmet cam being in the way ie obscuring view
I'm a millennial and love life saving and convenient technology even on bikes. Its like why bother doing a long complex math problem in your head when you can use a smartphone calculator and get the answer in milliseconds.
If I wanted all the tech I'd simply drive my car. I can strap my phone on the handlebars, IF I need a map but being that I usually only ride within my township or into the nearest big city to which I've an understanding of the roadways it usually isn't necessary and my phone stays in my pocket. Riding a bike is dangerous enough without all that extra distractions of a lot of electronics. The only thing that I've added to my bike is the windscreen and I was given a phone holder as a gift. I understand that you need a lot of cameras and things for your content/sponsors but is it necessary. Distractions are more fatal on a bike than in a car. IMHO you've set a bad example Ash.
That chin mounted camera gives great views but two remarks. Firstly and most importantly, that helmet is for your safety. If you are knocked off then the last thing you need is something that could catch on something else and suddenly drag your head in a sharp motion. Secondly it seems to me that it is at least partially blocking your view and I'm sure you would never advise any of your students to wear anything that impedes their vision.
Mine is on the helmet, but is lower down so not a distraction. Also tethered with strong thin cord so I don't lose it. It is secure, but not so that it will hinder if I have a accident. Good point though.
00:28, visibility behind the camper van, 00:30 still not good. Was that really a good time to start fiddling with the mirror? 4:25 was it made a little difficult for the Ford to turn left? What was being used as a speedo? I noticed road signs saying 40 but the bikes speedo saying 43.
Waited until beyond the camper van and kept a position in the road to see. Cameras don’t always show what the human eye can see. Prime example being a recent clip I was going to send Ashley about using reflections and shadows to see round a bend where I could see the shadow of a car approaching but the camera bever picked it up. Another example is a time I passed a cyclist in a small incline where I had visibility over the crest of the incline but the camera appears to show no visibility at all Just a couple of examples where cameras can be deceiving 👍
@@smilerbob waited until beyond camper van, are you for real? Kept road position, was that wise? Would moving right have given better visibility and more time if anyone stepped out from behind the camper?
Mmm deleting comments ?? You or you tube...anyway I don't have screens they are a distraction, and here is a thing I can read road signs and look at a map before I go out..the radar thingy is cool though.
One important thing with riding Ashley, is to do with space, drivers will see you as the size of a car, so even if you think you could get through a gap (e.g. if you think you could get past a parked car without affecting oncoming traffic) it will still freak people out
Ash, I know you're new to riding. But, please stop sitting behind traffic and start filtering to the front. If lights change you can always slot back in. Regardless of your super dooper rear cam, if a car isn't paying attention and plows into your rear you will get seriously hurt. You've passed your bike test now, now it's time to learn roadcraft...not the car roadcraft you seem really good at to be fair, but bike roadcraft. Rule no1 remove as many risks as you can. So, no riding near the gutter and start filtering to the front, even if you predict lights may go green before you get to the front, are essential. Also use your throttle to warn cars of your presence. Consider removing baffles to make your bike louder! Always helps when filtering. Load pipes save lives, as they say. Stay safe mate 👍
@mikeroberts clap clap..it says you can't pass the lead car. Well done. But you can draw level. It's much safer than being crushed by a car who's driver isn't paying attention. Mate, you ride how ya want. I'm trying to help Ash stay safe with some roadcraft for bikers. I'm not here to argue or suggest breaking road laws.

Modern textiles are more abrasion resistant and often less bulky. You can get jeans with CE approved armour and Kevlar in the weave too. The only leather in my current riding kit is gloves and boots.
To much information absolutely no need, if life savers are used I see no need for a beeping in the ear. I’ve watched a couple of your videos on your bike now and I’ve kept a close eye on life savers, are you editing out your mistakes? If not call me out otherwise do what you expect of others. Disclaimer, I am nothing more than a bloke who passed his bike test more than 30 years ago, I don’t claim to be the safest rider on the road but I will always check over my shoulder.
I see every day attemtion diverted car drivers , lost on road, poor position , poor hazarf perception. The important bit is visible IN FRONT, or side , when you choose to look around you. Why, do you need all that electronic stuff when brain and eyes work? Or does it not? Typical bmw driver.😅

If the engineers / design team are reading this, ask for feedback from those using the device as I suspect not many will proactively contact you with ideas. But a couple from me having seen it in action for a few minutes…
A mute / acknowledge button so you can stop the beep for 30 seconds while you approach or are waiting at lights. I don’t think it needs to go off everytime and could end up being ignored or removed if it becomes too annoying
Have a little GPS unit inside so if vehicle speed is
Got to disagree, there are no pillars to create a blindspot on a motorcycle, so technically they don't exist.
I’ve got a speedo. A mirror. And a pair of Mk 1 eyeballs.
Keep your eyes on the road, your hands upon the wheel…
Just as well you're not a smoker, Ashley, there's not much room left for an ashtray.
I get nervous taking my eyes off the road to check my speed, I can't imagine that much stuff
It was a smaller unit, but I hated having my GPS down on the bars like that, and have since mounted anything above the main clocks. Much less of a bend to look at, and (in the GPS's case) way easier to reference when riding offroad
I think Ashley was doing around 42 when he went through the speed camera zone.
Bikers don’t need things like abs and traction control I’ve had my triumph 1200 for 31 years and never needed them and that’s with 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 150 mph
And if you have a blind spot turn your head !
If you feel uncomfortable on the road do the enhanced rider scheme it will transform your riding
How t f is blind spot on a motorcycle even possible? 44 years on two wheels. Forty on four
@@highdownmartin it's not it's just incompetent riding
Rubbish...do your "life saver" shoulder checks. Stop being lazy. It may save your life!

Have a good day 👍
The INNOVV cameras are great. I have a K5 and K3 on my bikes, years of use without any issues. Although the bleeping thing would drive me nuts.
I have a K6 on my T120, I don’t need to remove the sd card, I just Wlfi certain files over and format when necessary. Good video sir.
How anyone managed without all the gadgets 25 years ago i will never know.
That smart display, that connects like a car display, is a nice idea. I do wonder if its easily stolen and if its easy to take off.
Ash you should try an Sd card extension so you can have the Sd card by your tool kit. Save you taking everything apart.
You need to be careful with those as they can slow the data transfer rate to the point files become corrupted and unusable
Direct connection guarantees a transfer rate for the device and card 👍
Two thing for that radar that would be good for me, not a biker though. Hide it away as the display is distracting and mostly pointless. Two separate tones for left/right so you can learn which side to check from the sound. Very useful though.
Would the IAM advise that you take a more central line when avoiding the square speed bums rather than riding near the curb?
Will watch with interest when I get home. Greetings from the Wealden Times Midsummer Show.
G63 and a Ford Focus, the perfect 2 car combo
The aftermarket sat nav would probably look and be better in your eyeline above the original screen. In my opinion
Spot on Graham!
But who believes the 'Road Ahead' signs these days until you actually come to the Road Closed one? So many signs "crying wolf" ☹ for mile after mile.
Interesting you say that Mike because I came back earlier that same day and the road was open.
@@ashley_neal I always wait until the actual Road closed sign. On a bike you can often nip round a much shorter side street/road than the official diversions that go for miles as they are for all vehicles.
@@ashley_neal
The only reason I reviewed the footage was purely for the relevant timestamps.
Thank you for confirming that my gut instinct was on point. I hesitate to post any comment that comes over as critical but realise you're Adult enough to take it as Constructive feedback.
@mike posts are welcomed as he also makes two valid points on this thread.
Thanks, guys ✌️👍.
Is thr sound on the 3rd eye the same for left, right and behind or are there different sounds so you can distinguish by sound or is there a requirement to take your eyes off the road to see the screen?
The same but you can turn off the beep
You can easily turn off the beeps on the radar.
I did check. If I didn't, I would leave it in and highlight it.
Erm.. i got a speedo on mine. And some switches. Lights, horn, indicators. Once owned one that had a gear indicator on it. Most pointless thing ever.
The bike content is fantastic at making other road users aware of the vulnerabilities a motorcyclist faces. ❤
Ps: bridge Rd motorcycles is expensive.
You can easily turn off the beep but as normal I didn't read the instructions!
I run a Gopro hero 10 with pass though door on front and a Gopro max 360 on the rear of the motorcycle this means if someone goes through a red light my rear camera will see my brake lights and down both sides of the motorcycle
Nice piece of kit that radar system and I like the analogy you’ve come up with, gives an excuse to look in the mirrors
If I’d have known of a camera set up, power supply that you’ve got I would have gone for that rather than using battery powered action cameras
I’m looking forward to summer content, viewers meet up maybe?
Some cool kit you have added there, ride safe my friend 👍
I'm installing a lot of stuff myself and didn't realise that those two plastics (the battery cover and phone case) can disconnect 😂
Ashley what helmet cam and mount are you using? I've got a dash cam fitted to my bike but I'd like a camera that looks where I'm looking too. Thanks, love the bike content 👌
chinmounts.com for the chin mount and a DJI Osmo Action 3 for the camera.
Yes the radar detector led’s should be on the mirrors
I see you failed to spot the road closed on left sign and diversion to your right sign. 😊
I pressed my bling spot monitor button on car today, never used. I am not sure if it actually works. My brain and eye works better.😅
All that beeping would drive me nuts. If it's a blind spot warning, it's not a mirror check you should do, but a blind spot/shoulder check, because the blind spot is massive for a motorcyclist. Better to build that blind spot check into your system of motorcycle control than rely on an annoying beep to remind you?
personally, I would turn off the beep. also, having to dismantle the bike that far to pull the SD card would annoy me pretty quickly.
taking some of the speed humps to the left was taking you very close to parked cars on the pavement. Plenty of room to the rhs.
Technology overload.
All the tech on that bike….if it falls over……😬
Love the look of that frame that is the actual bike.
I think I'm just as safe without the gadgets; the lifesaver check has served me well over the years, so much so that I do it in the car too.
Hands up if want to see Ashley ride the unicycle 🙋
Really interesting
Never even knew you rode a motorbike! Do you have any other cats on your licence, like Cat C (HGV) or D (Coach)?
Class 2 HGV, no Bus Licence (yet)
A video I wouldn't mind seeing is one about your helmet and intercom/Bluetooth.
I think, for me, that the worst bit of kit is the location of the helmet cam. Seems like Ashley really needs to rotate his head down to look at the instruments due to the helmet cam being in the way ie obscuring view
Radar warning? Do you not ride by speed limit signs.? 😅
Heated seats, gps maps, cameras, what has biking come to ?
I wonder if you're going to start a gardening series next.
The blindspot indicator would drive me bezerk.
It doesn't impede view whatsoever

00:28, visibility behind the camper van, 00:30 still not good. Was that really a good time to start fiddling with the mirror? 4:25 was it made a little difficult for the Ford to turn left? What was being used as a speedo? I noticed road signs saying 40 but the bikes speedo saying 43.

@@Andyzoot As most speedos are, so what was being used to judge speed?
Waited until beyond the camper van and kept a position in the road to see. Cameras don’t always show what the human eye can see.
Prime example being a recent clip I was going to send Ashley about using reflections and shadows to see round a bend where I could see the shadow of a car approaching but the camera bever picked it up. One important thing with riding Ashley, is to do with space, drivers will see you as the size of a car, so even if you think you could get through a gap (e.g. if you think you could get past a parked car without affecting oncoming traffic) it will still freak people out
How many of these gadgets will fly off when he gives some beans on a motorway sliproad?
