Remember, always engaged your parking brake! Glad you didn't let it get away from you. Grapple is a serious consideration for my CK 2620, had the third function installed when I got it. Trying to decide which one to get is maddening. Trees, brush and rocks/boulders are my main objectives. Thanks for sharing. So many cool tools out there.
Tractor was on a slight incline and I did have my brake on but tractor went back slightly. I did have a wheel chock placed but it was about 4” behind the wheel. You definitely have many good choices out there. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
@@iffykidmn8170 This grapple is built like a tank with 3/8” AR 400 steel. Though I didn’t show it I had played with several boulders that were a few hundred pounds and it handled them with no problem. Thanks for watching ad commenting. 👍TCT
@@iffykidmn8170 You are correct the AR400 is an abrasion type steel but here are some specs of the strength. AR200 steel is 70k psi yield strength AR400 is 177k psi yield strength. Many manufacturers use the AR400 because it’s so strong. 👍TCT
Dick is been out for a few years but hasn’t gotten a lot of traction yet. It definitely is built well and functions extremely well. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT
Tony i am with you on having it as one unit . That seems like too much to fool with having to run the extra hoses & attach the hydro block to the tractor then hook up the individual pieces to the plate. Although it would be handy to only have 1 grapple if you needed it for a particular job.
Hi Tony . It’s definitely an interesting design . The AR 400 is a go 👍 . The claw fist grip yes 👍 Bucking logs down too the last 16” piece . No . The flow divider on tractor 👎 . They need too take a step back and rethink the design . Simplify it . When bucking logs you need more room from carriage and only 12” wide claw too clear for saw . There on the right track and could easily corner the market with changes like things you also mentioned . When go on google and punch in grapple it’s amazing how many grapple company’s and designs . One needs too choose there design carefully . Good review Tony as always 👍👍👍
Stephen, glad you enjoyed the video. You’re right, there are many options for grapples. The key is choosing the right one for the task you’ll mostly be using it for. No one grapple is perfect for every application. Thanks for watching and commenting.👍TCT
The grapple king!

It would seem to me the long unsupported fang/fingers on the top grapple would not play nice with rocks and boulders.

Awesome design on the grapple Tony, you can get some serious work done with that!
Bill it definitely is a beast with great grabbing power.
Thanks for watching and commenting, TCT
Ahh yes the typical shy hydrostatic tractor, shying away from the camera.
.
Its gear drive cousin doesn't try and run and hide.
My first question would be the life expectancy of all those joints, and what they do to keep them lubricated?
In my research there is a stronger steel out there but its literally about 50% more $$$$ per pound.

@@BGWenterprises The major moving areas have zerk fitting, only time will tell the life expectancy.👍TCT
Nice Grapple Tony 😀

Yup I think Artillian would get more interest if they sold it as a dedicated grapple.

Larry it definitely works great and is built like a tank!

Looks like that one works nice for brush. I feel as a seperate unit would be more user-friendly
Totally agree Bert, a stand alone unit that you can be attached quickly would make it more convenient.
