Have you also tried long term water fasting? I have had to get into that as well for a plethora of my own health issues. It is truly amazing what your body can do when toxins are being eliminated, autophagy occurs, and your own stem cells provide healing, among other miraculous occurrences that happen within the body.

@@mixedmediaartgirl300how long term do you do? And for someone who’s never fasted, how many days should I start out at?

    • @mixedmediaartgirl300
      @mixedmediaartgirl300 6 днів тому

@@t.g.7180 my last was 8, my longest was 40, and I have done countless other shorter ones, 1-5 days. Here's the most painless way to transition into my fasts:
your body must be in ketosis to not have great difficulty with hunger or hunger pangs.
1.) So cut all carbs and sugars FIRST. Eat normally but absolutely not one granule of sugar, that means check condiments you use, spice blends, coffee creamer, vitamins or vitamin chews or gummies, all of it, in fact, do not take those at all because there's other ingredients that can mess up ketosis.
2.) Get used to no sugar first, depends on how much you crave or are addicted to it. If you're eating lots of processed foods or sugars that will make the cravings much harder to kick. It's up to you if you want to do that for a day or two or a couple weeks.
3.)Then start to limit your eating window. So try fasting for 20, with a 4 hour window to eat what you normally would, minus carbs or sugars. When that's easy for you, switch to a 1 hour window, and really try to only eat until you are just satisfied, not FULL (overeating).
4.) When that becomes easy, you're ready for your first fast and have set yourself up for success! So go 24 hours. See how you feel. See how long you think you'll want to keep at it. You may be so addicted to food you think "ok 24 hours is good, I'll try for 2 days next time." Or you may be ready to go for a 3 day or even a 5.
There are three things that break my determination when fasting; 1.) simply wanting to experience the taste of something (food addiction), 2.) hunger pangs if my body isn't in ketosis, or 3.) physical detox symptoms that are too much to continue enduring for longer fasts.
It works for me, but many others have given this advice, but leave out crucial things, such as what TYPE of water to drink, and there's the electrolyte debate, to have or not to have. For an in depth look at why you don't want to have salt, coffee, vitamins or anything other than JUST SPRING WATER there's a channel here on you tube, Loren Lockman, who's had a long term fasting retreat for over 25 years he's helped people cure all types of ailments and diseases, so he's the expert. He has many in depth videos really breaking down why you do it how you do and what takes place physically in the body, how autophagy heals you and how to keep your body in autophagy. Other sources of information will be telling you things like you can have coffee, tea, and salt, but NO, I can tell you from my experience that if you need true healing you are going to have to do it the most natural way, spring water or filtered rain water.... ONLY, can't stress that enough.
And SIP water throughout your day don't ever chug or you can really do bad damage especially to the kidneys, alternatively you MUST keep drinking the right amount of water every day to feel your best. When doing long term fasting, you must NOT exercise, REST. MEDITATE. Don't stay on the computer ideally, and go outside and get sunshine and touch your feet to the earth.
Refeeding is as important as fasting. The amount of time you spend refeeding should be half the length of the fast if you are going beyond 3 days. So if you fast a week, you should refeed with a few ounces of broth, wait an hour or two, continue broth, wait an hour or two, maybe an oz of HIGH MOISTURE fruit such as watermelon or papaya, and continue at a slow easy pace to make sure there's no discomfort or even worse, death. Not refeeding properly can lead to death. So don't fill yourself right after, you will be sorry.

Lillie isn’t carnivore she’s animal based. Yes, classic carnivore diet includes seasonings as long as they don’t have bad ingredients (sugar, msg, fillers etc). Many carnivores start preferring their meat seasoned only with salt after a while. But it’s definitely up to personal preference! Honestly, I was the queen of seasonings back when I was eating plant-based because lentils and beans really don’t taste good with just salt. They’re actually quite gross. Meat is delicious with only salt.

I found that I couldn't begin healing until I finally ditched dairy. Eggs can set off autoimmune patients big time. It's actually the whites, not the yolks, that cause the problem due to a protein in the whites. If you have been eating super clean and still feel like total cr@p, you may need to drop the eggs and dairy from your carnivore meals. Once healed, many AI folks can slowly reintroduce egg yolks.

Also, do you necessarily need prosciutto for the egg cups? My breakfast every morning is 99% the same. I eat 2-3 fried eggs in bacon grease with 203 slices of bacon. Sometimes I add tomato slices. For lunch, I would have to try remembering to get meat out to have it thawed by lunch. When I buy frozen shrimp, its so hard to get all the water out of them. I let them thaw in a colander and then I try to squeeze out extra water but they still maintain some. I have a long way to go with my weight though.

Yes, you can never have too much red meat. Go watch Dr. Ken Berry, Anthony Chaffee MD and Dr. Sten Ekberg about that. Dr Sten has especially good and educational videos about this stuff that's easy to understand. I also recommend Dr Eric Berg DC. And to repeat what they're saying all the time:
Just make sure you get enough fat (50-70% of your macros). Once you are fat adapted, you can tell if you're getting enough fat based on your long term hunger satiation and stools.
Your body really tells you everything, just listen to it. Nutrition and metabolism is not even all that complicated as you would think and it all just makes so much sense once you start looking into it.
Eat when you're hungry and don't eat when you're not. Always salt until it's salty enough to the taste.
As for the fat ratios: if stool is becoming hard or even constipated you're lacking fat and too much protein. If stool is too soft, floating, or even diarrhea, then there's too much fat. If you still keep getting hungry often and have cravings you probably don't get enough fat.
My trick to help me get fat adapted is replace your keto snacks with snacks like fried bacon to a crisp with cheddar cheese on top, or one of those mini pork salamis you can easily munch on at any time.
Ferrigno Freedom is also a very inspiring channel about a guy that's down to the earth and very good at explaining how carnivore changed his life for the better. Good luck on your carnivore joinery.
And hey, its still ok to indulge and cheat once in a while once your body becomes metabolically healthy it should be a lot more flexible, it becomes easier to swap in and out of ketosis even if you do some cheats. I don't really do that myself, but I hear it should be okay so you're not forced to completely give up on pizza and pastry for the rest of your life.
As long as stop poisoning yourself with carbs every single day of the year, you should do just great!

I'm not answering for Lillie but I watch a LOT of carnivore vids and some eat almost exclusively red meat and salt and they're very healthy!!

That’s a great question! I am also not Lillie lol, but I went down this rabbit hole back in January and realized that most of what we think we know about red meat is wrong. The “studies” that show red meat is bad for you are epidemiological and poor quality. Humans have been eating red meat for thousands of years and thriving. It’s manufactured foods like ultra processed junk food made with seed oils and sugar thag causes cancer and heart disease, not red meat.

I started covering my head a lot more with scarves and bandanas. I really like it but I’ve gotten some comments and questions from others. Now I really want to get away from pants and do just skirts and dresses but it’s so hard to transition fully to that. I work in a gym daycare. I think it’s important to dress feminine. I’ve realized a lot of my clothes are very sporty, frumpy and androgynous and not feminine at all! 🤦🏻‍♀️

I did keto in 2015 and lost a lot of weight then I went back home to Cali in 2018 when my mom got her sick and I started eating whatever my family would bring me to the hospital and I tried several times to get back on and failed. Now I am 60 lbs heavier than I was after losing weight on keto. I feel horrible chunky. I have no energy

May I ask you how you feel about non organic and non biological meat and dairy products? Even a lion doesn't eat this much meat. In nature we feast and fast. I don't believe that it is sustainable to feed 5 miljard people on this diet. How do you feel about global food and environmental issues? Or do you also eat meat from non organic farmers and animal suffering in general? I don't mean anything negative or nasty. I am just curious ❤
