      Extracts like vanilla don’t have pour spouts anymore. Very wasteful, messy without a spout & expensive. Poke a hole in protective paper top with a toothpick and voila-a dab’l do ya! ☺️

    • @iluminameluna
      @iluminameluna 2 роки тому +3

      @@clarabell60z even better, use a toothpick or a skewer to pour the extract and the liquid will follow the stick. If you have a stainless steel chopstick or straw, you can use them as well, just use the OUTSIDE of the straw. That way none gets stuck on the inside.

    The vinegar for the stuck or burnt on food: I keep a whole gallon of a cleaning mixture on my kitchen counter that's 40% vinegar @ 5% acidity, 60% water and 1.5 tsp of a good dish washing liquid. I use it to wipe tile, stove top, oven, and if there's anything burnt on i add some baking soda to the area, add a bit of the vinegar solution, then let it sit a few minutes before cleaning it up. I repeat it if needed. The dish washing liquid is added to be a surfactant, to lift grease and suspend it so it can be wiped off. But the vinegar is what cuts the grease and oil in the first place.

    I see Americans (I'm Aussie) peel potatoes like that all the time on the Idiot Box (TV) and I've never understood why they peel away from themselves. I just put the potato in my palm and just hold it there with my thumb (peeler hand) whilst peeling and spinning it around with the non-peeler hand. I've never cut myself either and I'm 53 so yes I've been doing it a long time!
