Hi Vincent, thank you for these awesome videos loaded with valuable information - especially for younger individuals! This is kind of weird and I don't want to criticize your work at all. I just wanted to give a little insight from a viewer's angle. Because you are speaking at a pretty quick speed, the music in the background makes it hard to digest everything you are saying. It's a lot for the brain to break down all at once, as it is a bit distracting from the overall point Maybe it's just me too lol! Anyway, we appreciate your advice.
And besides being able to order whatever you want to eat, you also have so much more freedom with your time. With so much money you could do anything you want, even quit your job if you'd like, or never work a day in your life again.
I just want to be able to get a drink with my cheap meal instead of having to order water all of the time. Sometimes I feel like a sweet tea and I don't want to go to a fast food restaurant to get it.

Grew up poor, and saw my friends achieving the things I wanted earlier like going to Medical school, getting a masters, and even thinking about marriage. I used to be so envious of that really kick myself for that. I am 27 now and still not achieving those things while my friends are about to become doctors and lawyers or just doing well. Dude your empathy is actually refreshing. Sure we all feel that underwhelming feeling knowing we haven't done enough, but everyone is on their own timeline. Just as long as we don't give up, we will get there!
This is incredibly accurate. As an entrepreneur that has had quite a bit of success, this is absolutely true. Once you get to the point where you start to evaluate yourself based on progress, rather than perfection, then you can start to be fulfilled and recognize progress and growth, personally, financially, or in any other form.
This is so inspiring and very relatable. I grew up in a poor home, my only way out was going to school and getting a job, looking for innovative ways to increase incentive. Fast forward now I’m 50, retired a while at 45. I have 25% of my capital invstments in an IRA, 35% in index funds, and the balance spread across other investment accts, in cumulative of over $ 6.4M. I receive income from rental property too. Zero debt and all is going accordingly, my financial consultant has been patient and has done a wonderful job for me throughout the years.
Living below ones means & investing is difficult but it's necessary. I've made lots of money mistakes in the past but I don’t regret it as I've learnt from them. Now I’m just focusing on the s&p 500 and waiting for a few years.
In my case Klaus Cassius has helped me to do that proficiently. I'm not a guru so I don't really have fascinating strategies. I work and my consultant does the rest.
2 hours ago, I literally felt like fainting thinking about how I am not earning a penny..... I stressed do much I cried and was having headaches..... What a timing of the video... Thanks
That’s how I was feeling specially now that I’m close to turning 30. Sometimes it feels like everyone I went to high school with have everything figured out. The sad reality is that behind the scenes there’s instances of domestic violence, dependence of some kind or family troubles. Nobody is perfect. I’m happy where I am and I enjoy spending time with the wife and kids. We may not be driving brand new cars or boats but we are happy with what we have. Little by little we are saving and investing. We are just taking things at our pace. The internet definitely creates a construct that can shape your mind for the worst but there are gems in certain places and this is video one of them. Thanks!
This was a necessary video. I’m fresh out of undergrad and I was struggling with myself because a lot of my friends are now a year into working their full time tech jobs and I was sitting here hoping a graduate program would take me somewhere for my respective studies. I recently made the decision to completely forsake everything I studied and pursue another path, and I’m happier I committed to that choice than to just sit and wait around for nothing to happen. I wasn’t envious towards my friends, but I just didn’t know why I felt this way. Better idea thanks to the video hahah
That’s a reality, Yes! You’ll achieve financial freedom if you work towards it. you’ll be financially free if you do Invest with Truthsayer expert... You’ll be financially balance if you do desire to learn more...
Happiness is free… the sound of the ocean, a close friends birthday party, the smell of fresh cilantro, a wonderful glass of wine… there is so much more to life than the perception of the lifestyle of the wealthy. It is pathetic to say a car, big house, or expensive toys makes you happy. I truly feel sorry for people that need paper to make them happy. Fulfillment requires humility, empathy, and a desire to live for others rather than for self. Awesome video!
been watching you since late saturday night, i'm a college student right now, but now i think i wanna become a entrepreneur. not sure how i'm gonna chase this dream, but i got all the confidence in myself. i pray whoever sees this, we all live financially free. good video!
Yeah crypto sounds like a really cool investment I heard that nobody actually knows who invented it others say a japanese guy did it and I don't even know how it works but it is got a lot of ups a downs bitcoin was at $50000 recently and it was at $38000 so a huge jump in value could have earned you thousands of dollars per bitcoin which is pretty damn cool
I have two kids and my wife doesn't work so I'm supporting the whole family. It's been like this for about 3 years now and I'm feeling financially exhausted. Always breaking even, never able to save enough, giving up things I like to afford things for them. I need another stream or streams of easy revenue while I work my main job but it's been hard.
doable if you don't mind air bnb out the spare rooms. I think Isaw a couple video where owner of multi-family house use air bnb to complete cash flow their mortgage, tax and repair with plenty of cash to spare. But this was based on pre-covid travel environment and more relax air bnb rule in residential area from couple years ago.
Im 31 with no savings… and ive had my own business for 6 years… no college or property owned. Nothing to fallback on except for the fact I will wake up tomorrow and keep grinding
Same but I'm 29... My grandfather had a house, a car, a family and had just bought three CNC machines for his newly opened window manufacturing business, all by the age of 30. Meanwhile, we can't even save up 300-400 EUR a month... And he wasn't ''lucky'' he literally dropped out of 7th grade and started working at 14... That's literally how everyones lives were only 40-50 years ago... Today, we literally live paycheck to paycheck aka. we are literally not living, we are surviving... What the fuck happened?!
You speak the REAL truth .... Money doesn't equal happiness. Buying stuff doesn't equal happiness. STOP comparing externally..... This advice is GOLD...
This is some super heartfelt and amazing advice. Really appreciate those deep, emotional tips at the end. They speak to my heart and I'm always comparing myself to other people.
Hey Vincent. Just wanted to leave a thank you note here. I'm going through a lot of recent changes in my life (moved to another country, learning a new language, recently married, and so on) and sometimes got me with the feeling of being "financially behind" because of all the investment that these changes demanded. But, after seeing your analysis, and after making the excercise you suggested, I looked back to my past self and realized that I'm waaaay more ahead than I thought. My goal now is to become the better version of myself, little by little reach financial freedom and stop comparing myself to other people's journey. Big hug from Berlin man, cheers!
The point regarding how being rich won't make you feel "whole" is very important . If you compare yourself to others this will never end, as there will always be someone "better" by society's standards.
Totally relatable. Used to feel like shit but Getting into the market turned out lucrative for me although I’m not doing it alone, I’m glad I made that decision.
Of course there is. Having experienced hands guiding your trades is also a part of the rule that most newbies overlook and end up blowing their accounts. That is why I’ve got Levi Clemans handling my trades. He’s the brain behind my success.
Most definitely. With the way I’m going, and the help and lectures I’ve been getting from him on the market, there’s no way I’m not hitting pro status by January.
It’s safe to say that Levi Clemans is indeed genuine after a series of payouts. I have no concerns about investing more, he flatly turned down my gift token and asked me to give it to charity saying, “God has honored me with everything I need, be His servant and help the less fortunate”.
Some Truth: When they say it could be Worse, we know it could be BETTER + Situational Differences make one WITH MONEY "Happy or Sad" MOST of the time & MONEY ALWAYS HELPS to make "One More Comfortable in LIFE!"
This video is great and something I’ve found myself doing; comparing myself financially success to others. We get so fixated on earning a lot of money but I think it’s important to recognise that if you can find a job that covers rent, bills and all your other expenses (with some money left over) then you are financially supporting yourself. You don’t need to become a millionaire. You can earn a LOT less to do this. I think your two tricks will help a lot with that especially the planning for the future stuff. Thanks man :)
Holy Moly I can relate so much. We're living in a society that keeps pushing is to compare ourself to other people instead of our past self, so of course we'll always feel miserable in the end. I have a side of my extended family who I think is very show off (expensive weddings, expensive house, expensive parties, brilliant kids to brag about...) and I just hate that because they don't invite me and my family because they mean it, they invite us because they wanna show how successful they or their kids are. So long short story I'm done with the toxicity and am currently cutting ties with them (my dad says I'm gonna regret it but I value my mental health and would prefer spending it with people I truly enjoy). People like to make other miserable and they day we stop listening to them is the day we win, but it's easier said than done. For example women still grow up with the idea that they'll be complete once they give birth. Of course giving birth is a beautiful thing but not having kids doesn't make you less of a woman. Same goes for men, they have to be tough/dominant/earn more money than their wife... otherwise they're not real men. I was always asked why I don't wear more feminine accessories like jewelry, high heels (...) as it would enhance my feminity and I reply that I wear them when I feel like it (which means never 🤣) and I don't feel less of a woman because I don't wear any,...
I deal with this struggle daily. I find myself comparing my life to my peers; I see them traveling, getting married, having kids, getting a new job/promoted, etc. Then I would stumble across teenagers who make 6/7 figs a year from some e-commerce gig. Sigh
I was feeling really down comparing myself to others even with how much I've accomplished recently... After watching this video and actually writing down how far I've come since around 2016 I feel much happier and positive about the direction I'm heading. My mindset has completely switched all from a 10 minute video - Thank you!
Thank you, for years, I tried to distract myself from comparing to others, when I could feel much better how much I have improved from the past versions of me.
i'll be blunt. it's very demoralizing to read that just 2 generations ago the run of the mill american worker could buy a house, support a family, have a car by age 30, and have enough money leftover to save for retirement.... while can afford a bi annual family vacation....
think of it this way, the older generations started working at 12-14 anyone who became succesful either got a business degree, became a lawyer or docter or joined the trades. they didnt sit down every night and watch netflix. they hustled incredibly hard. my grandpa used to go out and move sprinklers knee deep in mud on walnut farms. he retired as a foreman. a major part of the problem for millenials is they are willing to slum it like older generations had to. the parents of millenials undoubtedly had it easier than anyone else. but success in life is never free. most families with money lose it in 3 generations of less. The reason why its so hard for people to get along these days is because people arent willing to say fuck you to their bosses, or the real estate broker, or the bank, and just continue to live poor until they can truly afford to buy the things they want. so many people continue to live paycheck to paycheck for no reason. the majority of people who make 100k are living paycheck to paycheck still. Financial illiteracy is the greatest problem the world has ever faced.
My granny just said that to me yesterday. She mentioned how there are rich people out there living paycheck to paycheck. So I definitely agree with you since many people don’t know how to manage their money.* @@warlocksnevereverdie
This video doesn’t take into account people who develop illnesses that were outside of their control, were victims of a crime or anything else that happens in life that we have no control over. It’s not just about sacrifices. You can sacrifice as much as you want but things happen and and you have to take time to heal. This video puts way to much responsibility on a singular person. Please whoever is watching this please know everything is not your fault. Yes We take accountability but not for things that are not your fault. Everyone’s timing is different and everyday there is something to be grateful for.Take care.
This video gave me a reminder of many things that I have already felt before. Accidently clicked the notification, and I feel like something just clicked and led me to this video. Thank you for your hard work and great inspiration Vince. Wish you the best.

I do want to rush primarily I want a wife at young age around 25 and I feel behind on life in terms of building a career and that everything I want is so expansive even with amazing credit score
I’ve been feeling down. I have my bachelors, currently in a masters but my degree pays very little. I feel regretful I choose my path. Now I’m 34 and cannot afford a home. I feel like life really sucks.
Dude that is really sad to read how about learning a new skill like programming or something and getting a job at Microsoft Google Apple you know the big tech or just take a zero percent interest loan like an islamic loan and I don't know invest it in like buying stocks or a house and renting it while also hoping for not losing the dept money by a bad investment if you lost the dept money your life will suck even more because you will have to work for years to payoff the dept or file for bankruptcy or something but don't worry there is something called safe investments like investing in coca cola stocks for example I mean it is not like people are gonna suddenly stop drinking coca cola but the problem with coca cola stocks is that they have a very little return percentage about 2 percent every quarter of a year ( 3months) which means if we assume that a coca cola stock cost about 100 dollars you are going to get only 2 dollars for that stock after 3 months so yeah it sounds like it doesn't worth it but hey I very not sure about what the heck I am saying right know so go and do your research or you will stay in that very little paying job if you are happy with it it is fine don't make a life changing decision just because of something a stranger types on youtube
You can just check up a financial advisor but you will need to pay him a lot so yeah I guess that is not an option sorry I am trying to help to make your life better but maybe I am just not the right guy to an advice
So WHY are you waisting time in that Masters program? at 34, you are still young, plenty of time to go back to college FOR NURSING or some other field that actually PAYS well….or stat a business
Don't need any degree to make it, don't have to go back to getting another degree, just need to change your path. You can learn almost anything now online for free just find something that interests you and seems purposeful and go all in.
Hey. I was in my masters too. I decided to leave bc I knew my happiness was more important. If you don't feel aligned it's for a reason. Just listen to your body rather than your mind. Life isn't only about sacrifices. Sometimes, the biggest changes can happen when you break the cycle by choosing your self. I wish you the best of luck friend. You got this! (Not promoting dropping out lol, just resonated with you)
Subscribed! I love that you don’t force financial buzzwords and save save save! stuff on people. I always few shitty after watching finance related videos but I few encouraged and empowered to do better with what I have.
For the last few years I’ve been very proud of myself & okay with what I make because I’m doing something I love on the side. My friends started to make more financially & although I’m happy for them, it makes others that know us mutually ask me “what are you doing?” It’s been putting pressure on me to make more money but this video reminded me that I was happy & content with myself before & should continue in that direction! Thank you so much Vincent. 🙌🏾
This video reminds me of a book that I am currently reading, "Your Money or Your Life" by Vicki Robin and Joe Dominguez. I agree with you, no matter how much money make you still carry the same type of concerns and worries just on a different level. Finding meaning in our lives and balance is key. Thanks for the great share and reminding us how to seek inner happiness.
@@VincentChan I do! Haha the book talks about a lot of the concepts you were bringing up in your video and offers a guide to managing your relationship with your finances while maintaining your financial goals. Probably something you already know with all the great content you put out haha 💪
New subscriber here! The concept that the people who have money had to sacrifice something else to have that connected with me. While I'm sure plenty of people are handed money by being born into a wealthy family that has not been the case for me. I purchased an investment property when I was 27 and made ALL the mistakes...over invested in renovations, went through 2 evictions from choosing bad tenants, didn't properly manage it, etc. I just was able to sell it during this crazy market for a high profit and am stashing those funds in an investment account. But it took a TON of sacrifice to get to where I finally feel like I'm where I should be financially. In that time I also worked my butt off at a very demanding job to earn the chops to have my own business. Now I'm making enough money to feel comfortable but also have a lifestyle I like. The journey is far from over and there will always be more benchmarks to meet (which I'm excited about!) but it feels good knowing I've earned my current stability. Thanks for your awesome video! Also, corn with hats!!
Solid points. A healthy amount of feeling less than adequate is sort of required to be motivated to constantly improve. I'm a graphic designer, and the most talented designers I know are always extremely critical on themselves, never satisfied, etc. Whenever you meet a cocky one, you can bet they're stuck in the past, reluctant to change, dismissive of new trends, etc. You stop improving when you let yourself believe you're at the top.
Really liked the presentation style. I've watched a lot of financial education system and this is the first one that I forwarded to my friends that I believe they can relate to. Keep up the good work!
I think it's a mindset thing for some. I sometimes feel financially behind, but I have plenty of money in the banks and more than plenty invested in crypto, and I live a modest lifestyle. That being said, I am thinking about quitting my good paying job of almost 14 years and I think I really just want to take a couple years off. I can afford to do so and have plenty left over (assuming I don't get crazy and take 20 trips to Vegas) but I think the reason I sometimes feel behind is because I don't know what I want to do or have. I don't own property and I have no kids, and I really don't want a lot. Maybe I'm just bored. I would love to be rich but that might tie into the whole "compare yourself to others" thing in the video. But even if I got rich like Gates, Bezos or Musk...I mean...then what? Sigh...
You don't need to get rich quickly. Focus on a plan where you can retire between 50 and 60. That generally investing in your retirement plans early in life and do it as consistently as possible. Compounding returns is a powerful tool.
Thank you! Working for fedex working late w/overtime had me coming home late to my wife & son. It only hits you when you making the money you'll see the downside of what matters more. I wanna see my family & working a more simple job.
This is a fantastic breakdown of the steps you have to take to build true wealth. I feel exceptionally lucky I started investing in my early 30s and consistently compounded my income via assets to create more cash flow. I grew to a 7 figure mark well-diversified portfolio having exposure to different prolific lnvestments. Passive income is mandatory for building long term wealth

Thank you so much for this Vincent, I spent the past few hours feeling guilty and stressing over how I was going to set aside savings and also pay for all my loans and bills - half of which were due to overconsumption and over indulging in the past months 😢 But I’ve got myself together now and I am motivated to be more financially sound!!
Corn with hats. Just watched three of your videos in a row. You have a really nuanced way of explaining the pressures a lot of people feel regarding money. Much appreciated 🙏
This applies to other aspects of my life not just my financially wise , but how do you deal with the frustration of not being good at the stuff that you were once good at? 🙃

Well played Vincent. Thank you for sharing your gifts with the world and being of service to others in this way.
I always do that with the saving money per year benchmark. First year just 7k, second year 13k and third year 17k, gets better and better lol and im investing in cryptos and other types of investment. I only make comparisons with friends and coworkers. And that if i perform the same or better that I should be paid the same wage or higher.
this video is a great learning experience for me! 🤔 i just hope it's not too late for me, as i am freakin' old, already 33 yrs old and unfortunately i have committed a lot of financial mistakes and wanted to change and improve further 😐
Thank you for this channel - could you possibly do a video for people that are not in their 20s and 30s? I am 53 with very little savings - what advice would you give to someone with a little less time before retirement? Thank you for doing this - your channel is brilliant :)
Thanks for sharingLike your videos usually and here is my opinion. Comparing yourself to others is not something people in all cultures do. It is not innate. It is dysfunctional, evidenced by how bad it feels . I have no need to compare myself to anyone .I define myself by my own sense of personal alignment. Peace

@@weicaihon Yeah that's a good path. You should focus on a good ETF of the s&p 500, relax back and watch it compound within the years.
Thanks
I hope you’re doing better now - there is light at the end of the tunnel. How are you feeling today?
I understand you 100%. The stress we put on ourselfs is sometimes the most toxic... Get better soon! 🙏
Right there with ya
Yeah this video certainly hit home
That headache hits different when it's about money lol hang in there !
1.You either compare yourself to the right people or you don't compare yourself at all.
2.Accountability and responsibility
I will achieve financial freedom 💪
YES YOU WILL!
That’s a reality, Yes! You’ll achieve financial freedom if you work towards it. you’ll be financially free if you do Invest with Truthsayer expert... You’ll be financially balance if you do desire to learn more...

Me too this video just made me subscribe right now lol.*
Exactly!
Awesome video!
been watching you since late saturday night, i'm a college student right now, but now i think i wanna become a entrepreneur. not sure how i'm gonna chase this dream, but i got all the confidence in myself. i pray whoever sees this, we all live financially free. good video!
Best of luck Kingg! The first thing to do is to have the right mindset and it sounds like you do :)
Crypto is where it’s at homie
How do I get started?
Yeah crypto sounds like a really cool investment I heard that nobody actually knows who invented it others say a japanese guy did it and I don't even know how it works but it is got a lot of ups a downs bitcoin was at $50000 recently and it was at $38000 so a huge jump in value could have earned you thousands of dollars per bitcoin which is pretty damn cool
Please make sure you network that's the secret
I have two kids and my wife doesn't work so I'm supporting the whole family. It's been like this for about 3 years now and I'm feeling financially exhausted. Always breaking even, never able to save enough, giving up things I like to afford things for them. I need another stream or streams of easy revenue while I work my main job but it's been hard.
Hey I don’t know you but I’m sure your family appreciate your hard work and effort. They might not say it but good job and you got this.
i just want a house, the ability to work part time and still survive
what a spoiled millenial, a house??? cmon
Omgshh yess. So that I can use the rest of my time to work on my passion and build other income streams!!!
Part time you might Wanna Work Full time For that if You Wanna Get a House...
doable if you don't mind air bnb out the spare rooms. I think Isaw a couple video where owner of multi-family house use air bnb to complete cash flow their mortgage, tax and repair with plenty of cash to spare. But this was based on pre-covid travel environment and more relax air bnb rule in residential area from couple years ago.

Same and I’m 35
28 and relatively the same but forcing myself to live far below my means until I have enough capital to do some smarter things
Honestly, I feel behind on everything in life not just financially but just on everything in general....
Thanks so much Daniel :) appreciate you sharing this!
Wow ! Good for you Daniel for realizing your growth !
The point regarding how being rich won't make you feel "whole" is very important . If you compare yourself to others this will never end, as there will always be someone "better" by society's standards.
I am 22 and I feel like I am so pathetic. This video could not have been recommended at a better time. Thank you
Hey I am 28 and I also feel the same! I think most of us go through a phasr where we beat up ourselves emotionally like this.
try it when you are 32....
Don't call yourself pathetic please😭😭😭😭😭☹️
Totally relatable. Used to feel like shit but Getting into the market turned out lucrative for me although I’m not doing it alone, I’m glad I made that decision.
Of course there is. Having experienced hands guiding your trades is also a part of the rule that most newbies overlook and end up blowing their accounts. That is why I’ve got Levi Clemans handling my trades. He’s the brain behind my success.
Here you go,
Leviclemans(
a)Gma L(om
Most definitely. With the way I’m going, and the help and lectures I’ve been getting from him on the market, there’s no way I’m not hitting pro status by January.
It’s safe to say that Levi Clemans is indeed genuine after a series of payouts. I have no concerns about investing more, he flatly turned down my gift token and asked me to give it to charity saying, “God has honored me with everything I need, be His servant and help the less fortunate”.
I mostly care about my life goals so as long as I have enough money to get there. It's more than enough...
Some Truth: When they say it could be Worse, we know it could be BETTER + Situational Differences make one WITH MONEY "Happy or Sad" MOST of the time & MONEY ALWAYS HELPS to make "One More Comfortable in LIFE!"
YT just recommended this to me and I have to say this helped alleviate some of my anxiety
Sigh
I’m in the same boat. I have depression as well. Not a good mix.

I was feeling really down comparing myself to others even with how much I've accomplished recently... After watching this video and actually writing down how far I've come since around 2016 I feel much happier and positive about the direction I'm heading. My mindset has completely switched all from a 10 minute video - Thank you!
Thanks!
you said a couple of things that resonated with me and it made my perspective on life at the moment a bit more positive, keep making videos :)
Consider me one of those real ones wearing those corn hats you speak of.
Thank inflation and the government

What a coincidence! Do you recommend the book? It sounds very interesting
@@VincentChan I do! Haha the book talks about a lot of the concepts you were bringing up in your video and offers a guide to managing your relationship with your finances while maintaining your financial goals. Probably something you already know with all the great content you put out haha 💪
Thanks for the book recommendation! Ordering it on Amazon!
Amazing book
The book is very good to read. It changed how I manage my money and life.
Good job, this was better advice than I expected.
Thanks :) i appreciate that! Hope you enjoyed the video
Not comparing yourself with someone else is hard but is really attainable
Yeah :( It's going to be a struggle to stop
Awesome Vincent. You're certainly getting beyond just personal finance. Keep the videos coming!
Thank you 😊🙏🏼

Sigh...
Gratitude and self acceptance!
In the past 3 years, I have gone from $25 an hour ( Internship after college ) and now in 2022, I am at 105k. I am moving more and more money into assets. It is really cool to see my M1 account paying back dividends
