The fly wheel is used for storing energy and the kinetic energy so stored can be used when input power source is stopped by any reason. The inventors could explain with more clearity. However , congratulations for the new approach.
I had seen this concept of them earlier. I also had this concept in my mind and after trying with some electrical engineers, I dropped out and great that this couple continued and succeeded. I think friction is the main problem. If it is reduced further then the output can be increased beyond the said 120 sec. The fly wheel mechanism(rotating a heavy mass casted in the form of disc) is essentially storing KE ( kinetic energy) and releasing it to rotate the shaft of the generator in a magnetic field to produce electricity.

I think friction is the main problem. If it is reduced further then the output can be increased beyond the said 120 sec. The fly wheel mechanism(rotating a heavy mass casted in the form of disc) is essentially storing KE ( kinetic energy) and releasing it to rotate the shaft of the generator in a magnetic field to produce electricity.
That is not heavy disc ,,light weight fly wheel,, by use pinion shaft energy forced is increased , so, non drive side rpm is more than drive end .,,, No frictional energy is produced in this energy transmission ,,
This prinicpal is same like electrical cars ,, taking less electric energy and produce more mechanical energy..
