I'd love to buy one of these if anyone had a link, also Peter mentioned how he was buying "50% of the patent", does that mean he gets half the revenue that comes through the patent? Does that mean he can replicate the product? What does that mean exactly, if anyone is in the position to let me know it'd be greatly appreciated by a future multi millionare.
They will sell licenses of the invention to other inventors who want to put it on their bin and get royalty of their sales, and Peter will get 50% of that royalty, and they can sue every existing bins using his very old patent, if there are any.

This should be in Lakeland, Nisbets, disabled equipment shops, B&Q, supermarkets by the bin bags...I've never seen one. I dont live in a wheelie bin area, but I would definitely pick this up.
And when the dustbinmen clip it to the wagon and it jolts violently does the lid open ? does the lifter stay on ? will the lid even open when it jolts ? or do the binmen have to press the pedal and open the lid before they stick it on ?

This thing solves a problem but at the same time adds one too when the garbage men will come to empty the bin. You would want to empty the bin fairly quickly and wouldn't want to deal with strings and mechanisms poking out from the bin
Not sure if it came from this pitch, but many dumpsters in my country have this kind of mechanism, except it's a metal structure and not a string and a couple plastic pieces.
To install this every week ON and OFF …looks genius at first, but the prospect of extra work to take it of before bin day ...hmm it is hard enough to remember to put my bin out at 11pm before Wednesday :) ....and what if you have separate bins for recycling glass and paper and is Tuesday and You are busy ... it is convenient if it is installed but :) ...I have conflict in my head :)
Simple and effective, BUT everyone I know uses the handles to push the bin against a wall so they can use a handle when it's full to pull the bin to its emptying spot for the bin men, therefore when the bin is in daily use it would not be the right way round to fit the device.
I find it hard to see how that patent would be defend-able in court. There have been pedal bins for about 100 years and I cannot see that patenting a link between a pedal and a flat piece to hook onto a lid would be a significant difference to an all in one unit like a pedal bin which uses the bin itself as the structural rigid part between the two.

Simple and effective, BUT everyone I know uses the handles to push the bin against a wall so they can use a handle when it's full to pull the bin to its emptying spot for the bin men, therefore when the bin is in daily use it would not be the right way round to fit the device.
Never seen all the dragons stand up at the end to say goodbye to a guest.

I find it hard to see how that patent would be defend-able in court. There have been pedal bins for about 100 years and I cannot see that patenting a link between a pedal and a flat piece to hook onto a lid would be a significant difference to an all in one unit like a pedal bin which uses the bin itself as the structural rigid part between the two.
add-on for non-pedal bins. peter wanted the patent of the link which likely has other applications.
