@Selim Mašić If that's how you respond to a simple harmless comment, then I guess you were used to social distancing at these "parties" long before this pandemic began.
Even ignoring the motorcycle, it's still not true. While the first thing that could be considered a bicycle was the "Draisine" or "Laufmaschine" invented in 1817 by Baron Karl von Drais, the modern bicycle is far more closely related to the "safety bicycle" which was invented in the 1880s.
Update: Richard Ploszaj now has a net worth of 20 billion dollars, exceeding even his own valuation of his bicycle company. Nearly every person in the world owns one his bikes, including the most recent Tour De France winner Tadej Pogačar who using it demolished all previous records.
I'll be honest, that pedal design is actually very innovative and looks efficient but that sales pitch just murdered any chance of it going anywhere in future.
I mean, the fact that he simply chose to make 20 bikes and then sell them at cost to test the market really isn't that big of a deal. If he, as a random engineer self building these things, can make them for $2,600 and get someone to pay $2,600...then a business expert can very likely find ways to produce them for a lot less and sell them for a lot more. It's just...everything else he's saying that makes him ripe for the looney bin.

Hakman Tim some bikes go up to 10000-12000 dollars Walmart and target bikes are not pro bikes so yeah I can see why you e never seen a real bike with real value to it
What you missed is that he puts the 2600$ (x 20 bikes) into a government fund , which matches it dollar for dollar. At any given point in time he withdraws his 52,000$ , and has 52,000$ from the government. Its all very risk free and 100% guaranteed.

To be fair he had only made and sold 20 of them, you get a lot of savings on manufacture when you are making in bulk.

I mean its a ponzi scheme... because it means someone has basically already 'invested' five million because theyve insured a investment of five million, likely against the value of the company. So in essence its just passing the risk down the line, like a ponzi scheme.
