I picked up a CB a couple of months ago and she is already one of my favorite snakes. Very curious and docile animal. Freshly shed you can enjoy the brilliant rainbow colors on their skin. It looks like they are fast growers too and good eaters. Extremely underrated snake.
Really good fun watching you trying to keep the sphagetti under control! I have a cenchria, great snake. Despite their small heads, they wolf down prey equal in size to their girth with ease. My cenchria is comfy with a warm end of 32c and a cool end of 26c: she doesn’t like it too warm. Interestingly, mine as a youngster never came out until after dark; now that she’s a young adult, she comes out in the day a fair bit, though she’s really active at night; I would expect the brown subspecies to behave similarly. Like boa constrictors, they’ll eat till they explode....
Brilliant video really enjoyed this video we currently have 3 of these beautiful boys under our rescue at the moment they really are brilliant at being handled never had 1 issue with them
I plan to get one as a first snake, but I will to go the extra mile to make sure I get everything it needs. I’d love to see breeders work more with them, so we could see some cool morphs. But I’m more than happy with the normal, I think this type of snake has loads of potential. I just hope it gets more attention
So glad you didn't cut out the "video bombing" snake moments. 😆Awesome info and brilliantly well produced... pick my baby rainbow Boa up on Monday. You really can't see the slick rainbow colour on camera unless you are outside. Beautiful snake....
Update : Got my little guy and he is just as manic as these adults... He is so beautiful and so incredibly tolerant, friendly and loves to be held like a ball python where he curls up in a ball and snuggles into my cupped hand. The flip side of that sweetness is "what's that?... or that?!.. I want to go over there!... no wait.. now I wanna go there!.. GET OFF MEEEE. (Just like these adults) 😆 So he is packed with energy and fearless when nose to nose with my softy Murican Bulldog, didn't care. I made the right decision... highly recommend the EM. My only irk is when taking him out.... its like hunting for the titanic with the way he burrows in the 3inch deep coco fibre mix. 😆 He always brings a handful of substrate out with him even if you don't see it at first.
i think rainbow boas look great regardless, its that irridescence that really makes them pop. i wonder if they are intermediate snake does that mean you wouldnt sell them to someone who doesnt own snakes? I am 32 and have loved reptiles since i was 8 however my mum just couldnt get over their feeding, so its only now i can afford and have them, however i only really have space for 2 reptiles, i already have an ackie monitor so if i got a corn snake or royal i would have to wait for it to die to buy a boa and really at my age i dont think I have the time to do that... id be in my 50-70s when i got my boa (intermediate snake) and that just sounds like a bad idea.
They change a lot their skin shade from puppy to adult at point you may think it's another snake. Definitely one of the best pet snakes, try to research for others Epicrates, por example Assisi, crassus and
@William Rosenberg....I am Spanish...Basque actually and Native American. And we aren't exactly connected to the Scandinavian peoples or any other bunch but they are awesome people. Seems my best friends always are Irish and Scottish...cool people they are. I guess I just love listening to your accent, it's quite lovely. Isn't it weird how we all developed different accents across the world? I also loved listening to Steve Irwin talk, "DANGER DANGER"! LOL. Anyway, have a super day. I love your channel it's one of the best! I like how you break down the ranges of these animals and attention to the care of each species. Gracias mi hermano.
They are so underrated. People compared them to the "Brazilian" rainbow boa but they are gorgeous in their own right.

Very refreshing take 👌
Makes for a really good bigger pet snake that's still manageable and really easy to care for for a intermediate level snake keeper.
Underrated species
Love these rainbows. ❤️

Great Pet Species
Thanks for another great video. I'd be interested in the info on Argentine Rainbow boas as well. I'd imagine they tolerate lower temps and humidity?
I subscribed. I love brown Rainbow boas. I want to own one as a pet.

What temperatures do you use during the day and what do you use at night for the Rainbow Boa???
I love watching white people try to pronounce words in our language...especially when they are from England and Australia. Good job man! 👍😊
