- This is not your typical indoor practice putting green. U.S. Open champion Gary Woodland shows us how he works on arguably the most important part of the game with mind-blowing tech in his basement, presented by CDW.

One of my favorite overall players. Excellent ball striker.
Would have been nice to hear who built the thing, how it worked, where the lines come from, and how much it costs to replicate.
A company called virtual green makes them. As for where the lines come from, you'll have to ask Dustin.
@@luckyscrote thanks!
@@luckyscrote lol I think he meant the green lines, not the white ones.
Full Swing Golf makes the Virtual Green.
I found the website: looks like they start at $70k... so I'll start saving. Hoping to have one by Christmas 2052.
He just puts words on the screen. The first 30 seconds. Chefs kiss
Cool putting green. Must cost a fortune. But worth it to a pro like him.
get the money back for one position better in a top 5 finish.
Or just go to LIV Golf and forgetaboutit
This is sick!
love to hear it! #UpgradeYourGame
The best of the best!
I would be happy with a net in my back yard and this dudes got putting green with more technology then my house.
the cushion for the laptop does it for me...
My problem is nt the putting itself but reading the green correctly. I guess it is easier for the pro's with their green slope

Whats that thing rolling on the stimp?
Gonna run out of room in my basement. Need to also fit a two lane bowling alley in there somewhere.
Let that sink in: If a PGA Tour player of Woodland’s caliber makes just **50%** of his putts from 10 feet, he’ll gain strokes on the field.
Makes you feel a lot better about the putt’s you’re missing out there lol
@@0RANGOTANG well, they have a few inches if they miss, we have a few feet, that's the difference
Tour pros are 50/50 from 8 feet according to PGA Tour stats, and it drops notably every foot beyond 8 feet. They're only 40% from 10 feet. So if he can improve that he's absolutely gaining strokes on the field.
but think about how far 10 ft is, I bet the avg scratch golfers 50/50 point is closer to 5 feet
Just like in motorsports, it amazes me how razor thin the margins are between success and failure.
The only aspect missing is some manner of changing the speed of the green. Practicing on a green that is 12 on the stimpmeter all the time is missing half of what makes putting a challenge (not to mention grain). Still, I'd love to have his setup in conjunction with TrackMan.
A golfer of that level can dial in green speeds with 9 practice putts.
need more info on the green
I saw this on a video it was at some golf bar. I can't remember where.
Rock Chalk!
Never heard of this Wooland guy before
Are you new to the game?
@@henniebogan1966 his name is spelled wrong in the title...
He won the US Open at Pebble in 2019. I was there on that Sunday.
Dude’s got TigerVision in his basement
I have two of these, one in my basement and another upstairs…
Gary, how does your home putting green translate to the real thing as far as different grass, speeds, etc...? Are some of the tour greens faster/slower and how do you adjust for that difference? Thanks
i would say with most greens on tour being 12-14 on stimp, speed is negligible, lines/speed will remain close 🙂
I would take this over a simulator any day of the week! Not that he has to choose! HAHAHA
I would trade my sim for this in a minute.
@@MrDjslav5 think of your back after hitting 500 putts a day
I’d like to see a cost/benefit analysis on this putting green. Clearly, it’s made money. The returns on that investment though, dollars per foot putt made-obscene
Someone said its 70K, if he got one better postion in a top 5 finish becuase of it its paid for itself.
@@krusher74 thanks man. That’s good math. Just from the improvements in the video the return on this is huge. If only we were also playing for that kind of money. I know I’d be putting this snowy day
Pretty badass Woodland has a Major under his belt
How much?
yo never seen this channel but who stacks these tracks? Fucking banging
*Woodland
The surface material may be more pristine than an actual green
Is it made of Wool 😂
ummm what?
@@krusher74 they had misspelled his name as Wooland. Looks like it's now fixed.
Must. Be. Nice!
Putt view is pointless. 20k to show the break? Once you know it you don't need the visual anyway this is just a commercial they gave him this to do the ad . You can't change the breaks correct?
This is smart. However much he paid for that green system, best investment ever.
Gary lives in South Florida. Here in Florida, we don't have basements. This isn't in Gary's basement, because Gary doesn't have a basement.
He probably has an above ground basement.
That is true, but if you have the cash$$$ you can have a waterproof basement.
Professional golfer Gary Woodland says he doesn’t have time to go to the golf course?
maybe he's on the tiger schedule!!!
Maybe on the golf course he works on other aspects of his game
Does CDW accept Doge Coin?
Nope
Doge coin didn't accept doge coin
love his stingers but not his putting
this makes no sense, he just say the same thing over and over. he doesn't talk about how it works or where someone can find out about this putting green??
It’s the Virtual Green system by Full Swing. They make indoor simulators and launch monitors as well
Garry me auld flower i have been following you a long time your a fantastic player.💥💥💥BUT💥💥💥
You knew it was coming what i find its your putting that has been letting you down Buddy and its your pace of putt you hit.I want you to hit the back of the hole doesn't matter if its 1 or 2 ft past the hole.If you get your pace right you will be a better player.PACE PACE PACE is everything.....Good luck in your coming season.
@@ajya462 lmao no way ur his coach hahaha

Im a gambler i bet every week on golfers in the LPGA the Euro Tour and the PGA Tour.I study how each golfer play week to week. You will find if a player wins one week they have an excellent chance in doing it the following week or at least get placed. What i found with Gary is what i said above he leaves the ball short of the hole.Over the years i have been screaming at my TV saying hit the God Dam Ball Gary.Gary is a big hitter and has a touch around the green but on the green is his problem. When you analyse players week to week it sticks out a mile. For example look for Yannick Pauls form over the last 6 months i knew he would win a Tournament sooner rather than later and he did 5 6 weeks ago look at his finishing positions in the run up to his win he was getting better and better.I done Yannick on the Friday morning after his 1st round was completed i got him at 150/1 and he went on to win the Tournament. My biggest win was a treble 750/1 picking 3 players from the Tours again mentioned above not just 1 golfer not 2 golfers but 3 i shit you not in a each way treble. Form in golf is everything week to week. Its funny but there is another golfer i like and he is German also his name is Matthias Schmid he will win follow him for 3 4 months and get back to me.Oh Teddy can you not see and read the sarcasm from Aj.Pete Cowan is Garys coach not you but i knew that already.look Aj i play golf and have a good eye and feel about the game i could coach if i had the chance.I love chipping and putting and can read greens well if i had Gary here with me in Dublin City i would turn his game upside down 100% for the better.
What we need to sort out this dilemma is Garys opinion from himself Gary play the next Irish open and look me up i would be a pleasure just to meet you and shake your hand but would love an hour with you on the putting green.
imagine having your head so far up your arse that you're giving advice to a golf pro.
He is even dressed like he is out on the course. Where's his caddie?
