I love how you don't pigeon-hole yourself by only playing one style. A real talented drummer can play multiple styles at a high level, not just the one they're known for. Seeing a "metal drummer" get down with some syncopated rhythms, improvise with tasteful rolls and just get down while they're playing impresses me big time.

He says he's a metal drummer, but in reality he is an outstanding all-around drummer who just really likes metal. And if you look carefully, his techniques are flawless and it is obvious he has had formal training. I've never seen him use traditional grip, though. I'd like to see that. (Although really it is an archaic grip that was only used because the old marching drums were on a sling at an angle.)
