Totally awesome. I am 70 years old and have been training for 17 years in the martial arts. Keep training. Breathing techniques and meditation are so important. My endurance sometimes in sparring teenage boys is better than theirs. They are out of breath before me.
I’m 33 just started my Tae Kwon Do/ Karate journey a few months ago going for my yellow belt In a couple days your videos keep me motivated keep up the good work
Ry Ry yEs ofc. I’m obviously way younger than you and you’ve probably heard this, but the higher the belt, the tougher the training and harder techniques. Age usually doesn’t play a role but I think as you progress, everything will.. naturally come to you easier. (Im a blue belt, going for green in December and my training is hARd 💀 my legs don’t even work anymore after training lmao)
tea cup Lol. I’m just trying to stay motivated an keep my training going testing for my orange belt late August mid September I really enjoy takings my class thinking about joining the jiu jitsu class after I rank up in my karate/ tae kwon do class
You're amazing. Thank you so much. I needed that like a shot in the arm. Please just say Bo Or Staff. Bo Staff is saying staff staff or bo bo. And bo bo is "go to sleep" in Sicilian.
I really like where Samy's going with her emphasis on training; providing introductory vids on YT and more in-depth vids in her online training academy. I'm taking the Bo Staff Beginner's course and it really expands on her 3 YT vids on Bo Staff. Still would like to see a rock climbing vid since that's her new "kick."
Hello I am just starting out with taekwondo, mma and other training and I came upon your videos and I like them very much . Very proud of you for all your help and support and encouragement to me. Keep up the good work and I wish well in your future.
Hey, Samery would you please help me on 2 on 1 sparring? I seriously need help to stay out of the middle, or do you have drills that I can do to stay out of the middle on my 2 on 1 sparring?
I love seeing black belt women sharing their knowledge!!! Wish i lived near you bc there aren’t enough women in my area:( im a tang soo do black belt as well
Good video 👍,always good to have kicking drills does improve your technique, but I’m a kickboxer need to add your hands as well lol,and your not bad looking either,
These are amazing! Thank you! I just recovered from a concussion and was told 6 months no sparring, so these drills are perfect to keep up in the only way I can for the moment. Thank you again Master Samery!
Samery. Nice production. Clear presentation. Please consider using a wireless mic. The echo is really distracting me from this otherwise 10-10 tutorial.
Hi samery so I'm a 12 yr old yellow belt and I can do all of these drills its just........... I dont have any pads at home and at my martial arts school we can only use the pads as instructed during class any suggestions on what I can use instead??.🙏🙏🙏🙏
Good job on the vid👍👍 one thing I think you should tell the people when you do the cut kicks what part of the foot to use in my Taekwondo I was shown what part of the foot to use idk if your Taekwondo did that for you Loved the vid
I have a question for anybody who has practiced taekwondo or karate. I've noticed that a lot of people don't pivot there back foot all the way. I'm a 1st Dan Jr Black belt in karate, and since my first day i was taught that you have to pivot your foot all the way so it's pointing straight back. Idk if it's because it's a different art or what, but it's something that I've been curious about for years now
The two biggest mistakes that young martial artists make is they hold their breath and they keep their muscles tense all the time. Remind yourself to breath over and over and to keep your muscles relaxed. And also just keep going to class and doing your best at everything, you will get better and stronger if you just dont quit.
I have to continuously work on my cardio. Samy made a great cardio/footwork/sparring video in November or December last year that's quite involved. I ran it hard and improved. My first completion was at like 13 minutes, but the last time I did it I finished in 7. I also perform non-stop sparring on my stand alone bag at home for at least 90 seconds, take a 30 second break, then do it again. It's very challenging at first, but stamina improved. Good luck, you'll do it.
I’m 74, and received my 1st Dan in November. I need to work on my endurance and these drills are awesome! Thank you for sharing your wonderful drills!

Yes you are supposed to pivot your back foot but I don’t know why she doesn’t do it

Practice makes perfect The best way to increase your speed you Better do one kick a hundred times than hundred kicks ones

@@MP-db9sw Agreed; that was a problem with me, I give a little kiup after each kick to regulate my breathing.
