@@MrInzombia He specifically trained for that and also different equipment lift differently. With that Africa (shaped) weight, it at least had grip and support. This cannon has nothing and anyone could easily throw out their back trying to carry that.
Legend has it, shaw has a bear rug. The bears not dead, he's just scared to move.
Now that's funny, a bear would make quick work of Shaw.
Guy Haskins no Brian Shaw could probably take a bear he’s 4x stronge man, I’ve never seen a bear win a lifting contest
@@burr69 No bare handed man is beating a Bear in a fight, he is just the strongest MAN. Big bears can get up to 1,000 to 1500 pounds or more in mass, has 10× the bone density of a human, has a bite force that can crush a bowling ball, and a paw swipe that can decapitate a moose with one swipe. Man never goes into bear territory without a shotgun, from the beginning of time man has never hunted dangerous animals until they were able to get weapons. If Shaw or any wsm could take on a bear or a dangerous wild animals they would have already done it to prove their stronger. Anyone who has come up against a bear with no weapon ended up dead. Strength wise- A 1,000 pound grizzly bear easily sent a 700 pound dumpster end over end like it was a beach ball( in a strength test ) while the world's strongest men had to put effort to back carry a 600 pound piano. Not to mention it took shaw everything he could do, to get a 350 pound ( shape doubles the weight said by Shaw so maybe 700 pound) cannon on his shoulders and was exhausted while it's been shown 700 pounds to a playful, calm grizzly is nothing, not to mention that same calm grizzly easily lifted a 675 pound rock with one paw, while the world's strongest men could barely manage a 312 and 450 pound rock in one hand dead lift style without it tearing their hands apart. So no man can handle a grizzly, its confirmed one swipe could decapitate a man or snap his neck.

When Eddie Hall said that the version where he lifted just the 350 pound barrel from the 1100 pound cannon was plausible, I realized that this show is Mythbusters, but for mythical feats of strength.
M E Haha exactly. Eddie said in a previous video they aren’t there to beat facts. They’re there to beat myths and legends.
I actually believe the story Peter Fransisco lifted 1100 cannon. This was on battlefield thus on adrenaline. Another one is the name escapes me, a greek champion lifting 1100 pounds boulder. It has an inscription of such event and it is in museum. I think modern man may be becoming physically weaker.
Mr.DeadLifts We have the strongest men today that have ever lived, period. There wasn’t access back then to the vast training and nutrition knowledge as well as the insane amount of performance enhancing drugs people are on today. Brian Shaw is a 440 pound giant that is full of steroids and dedicated his life to training. The Greek named Eumastas did some sort of lift with a 1,060 boulder. The only info we have is the inscription that reads it was lifted off the ground. If it was a hip lift that was used, then these guys did almost 3 times that weight on this show.
@@setht9041 there I strongly beg to differ.. look at the size of the hammers axes and swords that they've found in Iraq and other places. Brian and the others would never together be able to pick those up let alone swing them.
Brian is huge and immensely strong and so are the others but to say that they're the strongest ever might just be wrong.
Rognvaldr Asbjorn those were clearly decorative. All the fossil evidence suggests that earlier humans everywhere were significantly weaker and shorter due to nutritional deficits.

You gotta think, that Peter Francisco could’ve had a insane adrenaline rush and that’s what helped him carry

The thing is, an adrenaline rush wouldn't have enabled him to carry an 1100 pound cannon on his shoulder. It would've just enabled him to get crushed underneath it.
Wrecka Stow it a 150 lb woman can lift a 2000 lb car I’m sure it’s possiblen
Adrenaline is one thing but a 1000 pound canon would tear muscle and crush bone, no amount of adrenaline can beat that.
PostSniper- no, those are just myths, the story you’re talking about isn’t all there is to it, the son was stuck under the rear of the car, most of the cars weight is in front, now you’re looking at 600-700 lbs in hand, she lifted the car enough to prevent her son from being crushed. However there’s nothing in the world that’s going to make an untrained woman pick up that weight, so what’s happening here? The answer is the suspension of the car was helping her lift it a few inches higher, enough to get her son out from under the car. Sadly in reality she lifted probably no more than 300lbs.
