Bavarian Stone Lift, Boat Pull and Fingal Fingers
Have you ever considered a moving event for max? Static events could be for reps on the same show to avoid to much pressure on the athletes and then injuries.
Think about it this way, small distance, say about 4 or 5 meters. The athlete chooses the weight and has to carry it in their hands/back without dropping for a "good lift", if they succeed the weight goes up like a rising bar event, distance is the tie breaker for same weight, and time would be out of the equation so they don't have to rush and something goes wrong. This would be great for farmers, frame and yoke, but if you want to go crazy use a tow bar to add the 4th, 5th, maybe 6th truck in a truck pull for max event. I think Giants Live team is very smart when choosing events, and idk how dangerous moving events for max would be, but I think it is at least a worth discussing idea. I hope you consider it.
@@gabrielpichorim8191 But there still have to be a time limitation (even if they would only use distance as a tie breaker) because otherwise they can wait as much as they want.

Eddie Hall's deadlift record is the most alpha moment in strongman history. He just holds it too and nods to the crowd with blood pouring out of his nose.
YEAH DUDE, ALPHA BRUTE MASTER
that moment was so alpha it turned my neighbours chihuahua in to a wolf
Absolutely no doubt
@Charles Tinsman Cry about it, Charles.
Yeah that was an incredible spectacle. People said the 500kg would never be seen in his generation. They said it was impossible. What he did was astounding. I think people forget that he didn't just beat the record by 2kg, 5kg or even 10kg - he beat it by 36kg!! That lift set a standard that had never been seen before. It was in a different league, and wasn't an incremental, tiny increase - he annihilated the record by a huge margin.
I’ve seen that 500 kilo deadlift 500 times and it continues to amaze me and will never be boring ti watch
What impresses me the most is how long he holds it once its up
@@Dylan-pt1iv not only that but eddie passed the record right before the 500 kilo lift. And a bunch of other pulls before that. Thor pull 2 pounds more being fresh and at home. Shouldn't count
This guy's are amazing.
@@potatotot4829 eddie was fresh too tf you talking little kid?
@@Fabriziofilms he had to do several more lifts before that...I don't know what your definition of "fresh" is but it obviously must be different from mine
Eddie strict pressing 216kg on an axle is just comically strong.
He had 220 easily if he pushed with his legs
@@dongatello6969 "pushed with his legs" you got brain damage I see.
@@nom6758 You know what I mean dude
@@dongatello6969 prolly he doesn't
Eddie is probably one of the most impressive modern strongmen. Insane that a ‘small’ strongman managed to set records like that, and figuratively leaping the deadlift record
After Mark retires the Hercules Hold just has to be renamed the Felix Hold... he’s earned it
I second this notion
@@mindofmark742 You second the motion?
@@joeya5438 aye
@@mindofmark742 Great! I'll third that!
"After Mark retires"
Ha, good one.
I heard even Hercules asked Mark for tips on the Hercules hold
HAHA
Big Z “I am happy. The weight is very heavy”
It’s good event
No matter what you think. The 500 kilo deadlift is plain and simple the greatest feat of strength of all time. It doesn’t matter who breaks it, it will always be the 500kg that everyone remembers
imagine in a few thousand years a dude is gonna deadlift 1 ton with ease :D thats the human race!
Same with the first 1000lb deadlift by Andy bolton
@@iteazzxgaming1132 The record might be better by one individual but all the humns in general should get weaker as we don't really need strength anymore in the skynet era.
I actually think that the 500lb log is more impressive
@@iteazzxgaming1132 that’s biologically impossible.
That amount of punishment Eddie put on his body for this is just amazing such a warrior.
That pain was nothing for him it was the pain of making his family walk through hell with him that hurt him the most
@@hasdaboss wdym
@@xped2943 He said in an interview he imagined some real fucked shit to get proper angry for the lift, that's why he looks dead inside while lifting
@@will4924 thats just Bullshit
@@luciferhuey6285 Or you could just say "show me the interview where he said that." No need to be an ass about it.
That truck pull from Thor at ESM 2017 is very underrated. Eddie and Terry, both insane truck pullers, couldn't even finish the course in 1 minute while Thor smoked it in 30 seconds
Thor had so much benefit from his size compared to hall/hollands. Size does matter in truck/plane pulls
@@cfields8507 Hall was nearly as heavy as Thor at that time
@@cfields8507 Thor and Eddie were around the same weight here. Either way, doing in 32 seconds what those 2 (Terry has won the truck pull at WSM and other big events before) couldn't do in 1 minute is crazy
Well said - very true comment
T H O R 🔥
Why did that deadlift bring a tear to my eye
Greatest strength achievement of our generation, will be forever immortalised.
@Andrew Evans that's a good thing, may we forever improve and surpass our predecessors!
@NAGATO UZUMAKI I dont think its humanly possible unless like Shaquille O’Neal and some huge russian warrior get a kid that ends up 7’5 with the Hurceles gene and a Francis Ngannou build
5:30 I swear it looks like he could do longer, but when he heard "It's a world record", he opened his eyes like "oh really ? Time to let go then..."
Mark Felix truly a phenomenon in the hercules hold.
always good to have some power left to get future records ;-)
@@quelandil5738 lol true
@@quelandil5738 Exactly. With a bonus of £5K a time I would do the same.
@@carlisroy6666 exactly =D why go 1kg more up than necessary. And who could blame anyone doing it, still not a lot of money in strongman
Yeah that was amazing. He was so chilled out while doing it too, he was barely even grimacing or shaking! This was hard of course, but also straightforward for him.
Eddie Hall never ceases to amaze me. 6’3 definitely is taller than average humans, but in Strongman is considered average. He may not have had Brian’s or Thor’s height, but that did not stop him from overcoming that physical barrier.
He's 6'3? I thought he's 5'6
@@rikhmjustsomeguywithmousta4971 a lot of people think he’s short, but it’s just cause of his size and weird body structure 😂 6’3” is a little stretch though since that’s what he claimed back then. Realistically he’s more 6’2”.
eddie is definitely not 6'3 i met him last year and on a good day in decent shoes hes maybe 6'2
Eddie is 5’8-5’10 and being short is easier for deadlifting
@@Smoothyoki if you really think Eddie is only 5’8-5’10, that cannot be farther from the truth 🤣 if you see him stand next to people who are 6’1-6’3, he’s right up there with them like Larry Wheels, Mark Felix, and others.
Strongmen need to make more money. Like it’s the most enjoyable sport to watch related to weightlifting.
That's actually true. I've been watching this since the Mariusz Pudzianowski days and it never gets old. I love it.
They already make more than any other lifting sport
@@Cin9999 bodybuilders make more money, to achieve their physique they have to lift
@@ivandrago72 1. Learn to form proper sentences. 2. No lol bodybuilders dont earn shit.
True that
Eddie should have gone heavier on the axle!!
without leg drive even lol... btw i think he pressed 220 on axle
@@EagleFitnesss yes in training
If he was hydrated.
@@TobiasDettinger impossible.
he tried and failed
I still think Eddie's deadlift is second to none
I loved how he held it and looked around when others would have put it down.
7:13 til this day i'm still surprised Hall never went for 220 kg...he lifted the world record like he could start repping on it
When Hall looks around with that weight up….thats a man who wanted it and gave everything he had. Just awesome.
Truly a good time for strongmen fans with all these athletes breaking new world records.
Imagine if Eddie dropped the 500 lol
That's it , there is nothing else much in his name🤣
@@IRONRIDER97 He’s won many other world records besides that.
Eyo wtf you doing here
@@IRONRIDER97 he also had the axle press wr up until a few days ago and won world's strongest man 2017?
That's why he used figure of eigths.
Legend has it that Kiliekowski drives his car like that
Seeing that half ton deadlift done by Eddie "The Beast" Hall is so satisfying. He worked so hard for it, pursued the goal and reached it.
His legs shaking with blood coming out of his nose. Looks at the crowd. Everyone sheers and he makes history. Cool to witness really.
Damn Eddie,10 reps with 800 pounds 🤯🤯
I can't even do 1!!!!!
In under a minute
Stoltman’s stones record is completely insane. Didn’t slow down at all, barely broke a sweat. Unbelievable.
Strongmen are one of the only few kind of humans, that will ever enter the halls of Valhalla.
They are by far my favorite athletes.
I think MMA and other combat sports athletes would qualify
Kids these days
Cringe.
@@adamgaming1309 😂😂
What?
I still get goosebumps every time I see Eddie lift that 500 kilo, and it blows my mind every time
Nobody pushes it to limits like the beast Hall. He's more than power and strength.
Shit, I'm still proud of myself when I manage to open the pickle jar for the kids.
I don't know why even tho Thor did a 501kg I still got goosebumps Everytime I see Eddie did the 500kg .Maybe it was how serious he looked like or maybe the energy.Someone should make a monument if him.
1 kilo isn't really any different. And ots so small a weight, he may not have even lifted more depending on how accurate the weights are.
So much energy in the room, it was awesome. Hall just pull the bar so high, with an insane mental approach. A pure intense beasty moment. I love it too
Hafthor is much taller than Eddie and he seemed to struggle less, so Eddie's was much more dramatic.
@@joaogarcia6170 Yea Thor also had 3 damn years extra you dosser. Thor couldnt even budge 480 of the ground back when Eddie pulled 500 so whats ur point? If i bench 300x8 now and you come back 5 years later and do 9, are you more impressive?
Here's why Eddie gets worshipped more:
1. first mover advantage (the first man to lift half a ton)
2. psychological round number 500 kg was lifted (with a nice alias as "half a ton")
3. demonstration of full effort as evidenced by the nosebleed
4. the lift was very smooth and flawless technique
5. the lift was done publicly in a stadium full of crowds as witness
10:19 I will never bet against a man willing to push himself like that
Hall is a true motivation. Should be in Hall of fame.
I agree
Eddie Hall brought tears to my eyes. Respect from the depth of my heart. U r a true sportsman Eddie but do not risk your life please.
I still get goosebumps every time i watch that deadlift
Enjoyed watching it, great video !
thanks Royston - appreciate
How about a similar video on "The Best of WSM"? There could even be one for each decade!
Watching Mark break his own record on the Hercules Hold was like watching Jiren meditate during the ToP. Absolutely badass.
Great vid
Have a nice week people God bless you all
What a highlight reel that was! More like that!
Eddie lifting a half ton is one of those human achievements like look what the human spirit is capable of
I'm looking forward to watching Licis, Kieliszkowski, Tom Stoltman and Novikov over the coming years. Those guys will have some awesome contests.
Eddie Hall is a True Beast...I mean look at those Deadlifts; at the end he refused to put it down, even though je was already winning..GRT CHAMP TBH👏👏👏
4:47 Narrator: “this man can do anything”
me: Can he fit in a car 🙃
Love Thorbjornsson & Eddie Hall's rivalry. Whatever the politics was, it just made things more intense to watch.
Great video!
Thanks for the excellent editing.
I always like the cardio guys.
So whatever even took the longest to do while using the most limbs
So I guess the truck pull and the balls being lifted up.
Thank you for this video
My pleasure
Genuinely do not know what to say about some of these except just... Wow.
WOW!
*_GREAT FANTASTIC 👏 👏 👏_*
Eddie Halls 500 kg still gives me chills. He’s a true warrior
I was very happy watching all this
I enjoyed this
Much respect to Eddie Hall impressive individual another breed.
incredible how his nose was bleeding, the amount of stress on the body
with this monster weight woah, keep focus lets take one step at a time
to improve our strength everyone has potential.
Videos to inspire me to train my strength
I still get chills watching the half tonne lift. Just absolutely incredible.
Blood running out of his ears and nose. That lift nearly killed him. Astonishing.
Me escrevi na hora quando vi que o canal tem legendas em português... parabéns poucos canais fizeram isso!
My joints hurt just looking at this. Incredible sacrifice and dedication.
Big Z and 2017 Eddie Hall are by far the best static lifters. Eddie had more on the axle, could have done the 230kg log press, and the first to reach 500kg on the deadlift. And then obviously Big Z set the tone for a lot of these records.
Eddie was shown 3 times in this video, he's the greatest🔥
Eddie's 500kg deadlift never seizes to impress!
That deadlift set up looks really good. They should bring it back
Imagine one day doing your job as a interviewer, to ask a few interesting questions, and before you can even ask any questions, a hulking 6"9 mountain spears you and carries you around like a toddler
I love Eddie's 500k, but can we appreciate Tom Stoltmans absolutely insane stone run?? He didn't even lap the heavy stones, just straight up into his chest and on the platform
The speed off the floor on Eddie's deadlift is still amazing no matter how ofter you watch it
Half a ton ! amazing beast !!
halfthor and eddie are just joy to watch in these clips
The beast is always best and my favourite ❤️
The greatest single act of human strength of all time… nothing will ever beat Eddie Hall’s half tonne lift.
4:29 Thor can jump so good
he is a heck of an athlete
He used to be a basketball player afaik, plus with those tree trunk legs he's definitely got some bounce
IRON RIDER-97 bet he can't backflip
Kudos to the bar on the last one
Thoose 5 stones by Stoltman is just on another level!
I lost track all diffrent events. wait for crazy elevator with barrows full water. squated. turned into some kinda crazy bench presses.
the last one is the coldest🤯
Thanks for your utmost love and support, it’s meant a lot to me,but your love and support keeps me going and standing strong in this difficult times. I do read your heartwarming comments and i truly appreciate all. It’s the season of love for me & so I decided to put smiles on the faces of my fans by going through old posts on my official page and hitting up random fans So I can get to relate with my fans better through discussions of depth and humor, listening to compliments and criticism on my career work l’ll be looking forward to your reply
3:35 Stoltman was picking them up like nothing😯
Seriously! Like featherweight!
I love these competitions. As a physician, I worry about the health and longevity of these men but do not deny that it is their pleasure and choice. They are just amazing in their feats. I come from a family of Norwegian immigrants. My grandfather, father, and uncles were legendary in the farming community for their strength but they were no where near what these men can do.
Anyone else get's goose bumps every time Eddie Hall looks up and starts pulling thoose 500?
Felix would be amazing at armwrestling with grip strength like that.
Does anyone know the name of the background music? It gives me chill and motivation to workout.
Eddie's half ton will always be THE classic but...MY GOD, if you don't cry at least a little while rewatching Felix's Hercules Hold, you simply don't have a heart
Stoltman plays with atlas stones like they're beach balls
4 min is one of the hardest things to do but it's definitely possible I've only done it once I would love to be able to do it again
These men will never suffer a heart attack, because their hearts would be too afraid to attack them.
Wow literally the mountain
4:01 his face when he sees the other guy has been done 😂
Hubba hubba hubba guys!!!
😍
Ahhhh:) so good to se eddie halls second chanel again.
Atlas stones are pebbles to Tom!
The way he held it
The Beast Eddie Hall will be talked about for quite some time in history long after we are gone. Insane strength
To not have a feat brian shaw did in this list is ashame
Year after year, the talent gets nominally closer to 500kg showing just how unprecedented and impressive Eddie’s 500 was 7 years ago.
Eddie's 472.5 at World's was in my opinion the more impressive pull he did. All these events that he had relatively less control of, and he still came out and pulled the second-heaviest deadlift in history for a speed rep
1 men Lift heavy weigh or pull a car is not force,
but 1 man work all day and night for hus family all the weken THATS IS POWER AND LOVE also❤
eDDIE hALL inspire me!
Eddie The "Beast" ❣️
Top🏋️👍
Eddie hall deadlift gave goosebumps😱
The Beast Eddie Hall. That lift is a Giant Leap for Humanity. I Respect You, Sir.
Great Eddie Hall!!
Always the strongest man in the universe as far as i'm concerned. Who else can ligit can pull up and lower a half tonne ?
This is why I lift
