Holy crap... I had to STOP and REWIND the video to go back and see that .22 rifle... I thought you had an auto .22 rifle! But you click very fast instead. I should have known, RviD! Thanks for the video, super informative!!!
Another great video bro! I'm surprised you didn't test the MGL-N Firewhirl as well. Even though it can't be found in the game, I believe it's the 2nd MOST USED RANGED WEAPON in the game by players according to an UL's livestream LOL
Hi, in the wishlist i made a post "more information" to ask the devs. to give more numbers on things. I hope you agree on that? (Quick example "heals "some" health", i just want a number). Maybe i even want to know how much health a heart has en how much damage a gun does. (Haert 1000health, gun damage 22p shot. So u know u need 1000/22 shots). They have the numbers, why not share them?
I remember someone asking about explosive damage charts on the subreddit. I suggested they use a small caliber like .22 and low damage gun to assign hp to the pH then on the next pH use an explosive on it and finish it with the same .22 and subtract the difference. This should give the damage of each explosives relative to that .22 shots from that gun. From there you can categorize each explosive. Might be a good video idea for you since you like this kind of data acquisition. Also if you really wanted some data you could use that chart to determine how many of each explosive on that difficulty it would take to killa pH. Furthermore you could use the combined data to determine the cost of killing a pH with each explosive type.
That's the exact plan. But I use CLEO SMG to figure out the required number of explosives in Decimal point. For example, 2.2 Bloater gas grenades to destroy an LZ heart (the numbers are not accurate yet. Working in them)
@@StateofDecayScience Sounds good, I'll be eagerly awaiting what you end up doing with this. Should be some nice data. You should catalog all of this data in Google sheets or something.
Excellent video and work put in there. I have a question - Doesn't power fluctuate depending on the gun? So one gun in 5.56 might be more or less powerful than another in 5.56? Or is power purely based on calibre and attachments?
Most guns of a same caliber deliver exactly the same power... there are very few exceptions.. Echo guns deliver less power than similar caliber guns .22 handguns deliver less power than .22 rifles. DIY Network rifles deliver more power. Lever action rifles deliver more power.
You always come up with cool ideas and provide evidence. Sorry to be rude or disrespectful for saying this but, you Indian guys are so awesome when it comes to these stuffs 🙂🙂🙂 Geniuses! 🤘👌👌
You say that guns of the same caliber always do the same damage, but this is not true. For example, .22 pistols do less damage than .22 rifles. Also many WW2 9mm (And other bounty guns) do more damage than usual.
@@StateofDecayScience you said ,,so using any gun in a same caliber will give us exact same result". And I'm trying to Understand what that exactly means :p
I wonder when and how the plague hearts make savages appear because I have a quiet game in terror my last plague heart made me appear 6 or 7 ferals I have never seen her in nightmares to such an extent that without destroying the heart I passed my citizen hero
Did you knew bloater gas grenades can deal damage to a plaque heart, i dont know exact numbers but it took me about 80 trown fast after eachother to kill a heart with just the gas, might be way less if you let the gas deal damage over time, but i was too lazy to do it slow
You need only about two or three if you combine it with a flare (or firecrackers or any fire) to blow the gas up. A video about that technique was put up just the other day.
@@Robertmaus yes i know, i was just saying that the gas alone can deal damage to a plaque heart aswell, so no fire or anything, just the gas alone, and it was not meant as something to do it faster with, just a little fun fact about the bloater gas grenades :)
i once had a gun that would 5 shot a lethal heart it needed 50 cal bullets and had increased damage due to a gun mod and could 2 shot in dread it was op as fuck
I feel like there's a major component of this breakdown that's missing: time. All of the plague hearts here were shot from the tops of cars, and that's a solid enough strategy for shooting footage, but not every plague heart can be fired upon from cover. The amount of time it takes you to fire the requisite number of .22 rounds vs 5.56/7.62 ammo makes a big difference in how long the newly spawns zombies have to find you and eviscerate you. If it's enough time for even one wave to get to you, that's a significant risk (especially on Lethal). I feel like the assault rifle options are unfairly devalued here because the video assumes all plague heart assaults are equal and spherical. The 7.62 fires significantly fewer bullets than the handgun calibers, and that means that you spend less time killing the thing that's calling for backup. Once you get one screamer getting off a scream, and all the others in its area of effect are chaining, that's a problem that gets so much worse so quickly. The faster you can kill the plague heart, the faster you can turn around and stop the mess around you from devolving into insanity. Time is hard to measure, but I think it's worth finding a way to include it in the calculation. Edit: Not all strategies scale up in difficulty. For example, it's much more worthwhile to use your car to plow through a horde on Green and Standard zones, but trying that on Nightmare/Lethal is a surefire way to blow up your car very far from safety. Time is not as big of an issue on Green-Nightmare because of the way the dying plague heart kills all plague zombies in the vicinity, but Lethal is a whole new ball game.
That's why I didn't mention which caliber is best.. Just telling not to use 50 cal or 40mm grenades because not only they are inefficient but slower too.. Choosing other calibers are totally player's preference.
Because M1 carbine delivers slightly more power compared to any other 9mm. Most of the guns in a same caliber deliver exactly the same damage. There will only be few exceptions like M1 carbine. In 5.56mm, the Masterwork AR will deliver more power than other 5.56 rifles.. In 7.62mm, the FAL will deliver more power than other 7.62 rifles.
@@StateofDecayScience Odd. What would cause the plague heart to take a different amount of rounds if you dont mind me asking? I have this AK that has 76 ammo to the mag and sometimes the heart will be destroyed with the whole clip and other times I need to shoot it about 20 more times after reloading.
Gonna be honst here. It pisses me off a bit to see how high caliber weapons mean next to nothing in this game. The only advantage you have with other weapons besides the .22 cal.. is the firerate. Otherwise you are better off using the prepper gun all the time. Eh... fuck me... that kind of ruins a lot of fun you could have finding a good weapon, if you ALWAYS know. "Why bother? .22 cal is best anyway for everything besides firerate."
But don't use .22 because all the semi auto .22 cal guns are 3 times more fragile despite having high durability. Go with 9mm SMGs for efficiency and also durability.

That SMG will perform similar to .45..
How do the gun stats like power and range affect the weapon? I mean if they do not affect damage, what do they do?
Power affects the damage. But I never had a problem with range. All the guns reach till the end except shotguns.
Time to reload. I should reload.

Would crossbows also be in this equation? i have a stockpile of them and i dont know how many i need
