Sod 3 is said to just be a better version of sod 2 like how they did it with the first game and second game. That means a bigger map, more maps, better house with new loot, new weapons new guns, hopefully 2 more new zombies with zombie animals. New characters, with different traits and new specialist system.. pretty much this etc. Also a new better base system with different buildings.

My tips: 1) Stash your bags in vehicles parked around your base. It will help to save itens to not be wasted, when at max storage capacity! 2) Select 3 characters before the end game mission and fill their inventory with the best itens, best weapons, best base upgrades and bags, to begin the other map, at best capacity (i love to start with my chars equiped with my beloved silenced timberwolf, that kills almost anything with one shot)! 3) Utilize books to change some of your abilities or learn new ones! 4) At characters selection, you can keep searching for chars with special abilities like dont need bed for sleeping, provide more beds, produce more food, etc, for facilitate your base sustentability and best usage of base spaces! 5) Ask your friends to help make a base transplant of the most important items, before you change the map! Its super easy to do, just use your friends inventory and vehicles to stash your most important items before end game, so you can have a new beginning, kicking ass! XD 6) Use zombies to kill other comunitys or vendors (after you buy the items of your interest) and take their loot! Good to take those nice weapons they carry around! Just use noise devices, zombie bait or atract plague hordes to do the job!

    Here is my tip:
Use the fences, specially in large groups just run away and jump a fence or a wall,
Zeds will have a hard time jumping obstacles, they get separated and most of the times you get an easy execution for the first couple of zeds that land on your side.
Repeat the process and now you have thin the herd to a level you can manage more easily.

A tip for killing plague hearts: Throw one bloater gas grenade, and then one Molotov right after. Kills the plague heart in less than 5 seconds even on nightmare difficultly.
Tip 2: If you cut the legs of all the zombies in your sight and all around the plague heart, no more can spawn in. Try to attract as many zombies as possible to your location when you do this and cut their legs. DO NOT KILL THEM. And crawler zombies are practically harmless. Just don't move too much around or more will spawn in. Try to stay in one small area near the heart. Then you can be as loud as you want.
With these tactics I killed 10 plague hearts on nightmare difficulty in one day. I killed 4 hearts with a single character. Didn't have to switch until they got blood plague after the last heart. They are alive so don't worry.

  • @Bendrix0

This is great advice. Something I’ve done lately on higher difficulties for plague hearts is using the roof of a car to snipe through windows. You’ll build up a massive horde but after the plague heart pops you can take out any ferals or strays with headshots. Takes a lot of ammo but it’s good for people who can’t manage crowd control very well (me).

One big tip I’d add is: bloater gas is flammable and *very* explosive. It can be gas from an actual bloater or a bloater gas grenade and it can be ignited by incendiaries (like molotovs) or even with items like flares. If you can get a blood plague bloater to burst next to a plague heart and then explode the gas, you can one-shot a plague heart (even in lethal zone!)

I try to always have at least 2 expendable survivors. You don't have to choose between risking a survivor you want to keep and having support. Mine personally have suppressed BAR's (there's better options, that's just the best I have), and I don't have to sneak around nearly as much as I used to. They are also useful for plague hearts, hostile enclaves, and difficult missions.

    • @irkendilriam36
      @irkendilriam36 3 роки тому

Actually, I might say that the Bar's the most precise and usefull weapon when used by npc or ourselves... I always use this weapon on a npc to follow me and helps to destroys PH.. The looter's m4 is good, but the npc's don't full auto when they're able to burst and the damage it deals isn't very good. PLUS the timberwolf's great for PH BUT, it attracts a lot, NPC's are as smart as a wet potato that they almost got down instant, the bar's a good option for ''crowd'' control by the npc, and ph killing. That's what I think

Two other tips I would add that are situational.
    1. If you have them, equip raider weapons on your community members you are not currently using. I equip them all with .50 guns, but for those who don't have enough or any, guns that only shoot automatic are good second options, regardless of the caliber.
    2. (This one really nerfs every difficulty) Knowledge of Pathology and at least one Sheriff in your community can allow you a base setup to completely disregard blood plague. Any non starting base will allow for a level 3 infirmary and field hospital. Activating primary care at both buildings at the same time will grant immunity to blood plague for every community member for one hour. This won't work when you are in someone else's game.

A tip I have for fighting enemy enclaves/humans, draw in zeds and let them weaken the enemy for you, drive past with your horn blaring, throw zed bait etc and either keep away from the combat as best you can, or get to a point where the zeds can not see/detect you.

  • @TheHannieD

My tip is to use sound to your advantage when the situation calls for it. If you have a difficult hostile enclave you need to get rid of stealthily approach their house and place noise makers. Boom boxes. Firecrackers. Fireworks. Whatever. Get outta dodge and watch and wait from a distance. Possibly use scentblock. The zombies in the area will swarm the enclave doing most of the hard work for you. Use throwables if you have them. Grenades and the like. Hop in a vehicle and take out the rest of the zombies and any weakened survivors. Unless you like the combat, that is. I like screwing over the enemy enclaves. Same tactic for plague hearts. Place noisemakers and draw most of them out and take out the remaining zombies and the plague heart as much as you can before the sound wears out and the start to come back to protect the heart.

Just for the community to know, I've finished my 2nd Lethal Zone run and my legacy boons are Trader and Builder which will make A LOT of difference to your gameplay.
My tips for a strong starter community are...
    1. Build your powerhouse community.
Meaning once you finished your legacy story, build up your MOST POWERFUL TEAM. You can all stock them up with the good stuff in their inventory and still use them once you made a new community. I highly suggest to get the following at least
    3x of Bulk Plague Cures
    100x plague samples
    200x parts
    3x F. Aid kits
    6x C4
    6x Scent block
    4x 50 cal. Guns
    and Plague crafting item MOD.
You can farm your weapons easily especially crossbows on lethal zone. They are mostly found on barns and campsites.
Now this actually leads me to
    2. Your skills and leader matters.
Stealth is your true best friend in Lethal Zone. Silent kills and crouched sprints makes a lot of difference between life and death especially with a pack blood ferals.
Marathon or backpacking allows you carry heavy loads without getting encumbered easily but I prefer Marathon over everything. On rare cases, I also pick Powerhouse for the instakill feature with heavy weapons.
Insta-kills will also be your friend so I highly recommend to specialize on Swordplay or Close Combat coz both can insta-kill zombies once you mastered them.
Lastly, in my opinion these are the most important 5th skills you need in order of priority.
    Auto mechanics
    Agriculture/Lichenology
    Pathology/Surgeon
    Munitions
    Electronics (Computer skill)
    Electricity (Utilities)
Auto mechanics will help you utilize cars which is VERY RARE in lethal zone. Agriculture is a must because your community eats 2x food in lethal zone. You might wanna add Lichenology because its already a maxed herbalism skill with a perk of 2 meds per day instead of 1.
Electronics and Munitions allows you to craft C4 charges and maximize your ammo and bomb crafting abilities. With 3 well placed C4 charges and a scentblock = Dead Plague heart and they never saw you coming ( not always tho and Blood Ferals can detect you even with scentblock).
    NOTE!
You must wait for one C4 to pop before placing a new one. 3 simultaneous blast will only count as one. (Which is kinda dumb? 🤔🤔🤔😅)
Utilities is for Hydroponics facility. Why is this important? This provides 9 food per day (with seeds and compost bin mod) whether indoors or outdoors. And it gives you flat 3 food if you don't have any gardener skill which is actually good! But if you have a Trader leader and large slots then go crazy to the farm facility.
Now for the Leaders? You must have a TRADER! The Trader Depot facility will really save you in the entirety if the game! Builder will be next for the OP Sniper tower for Sniper Support that kills "Fuckernauts" easily and FAST! Warlord gives you the Armory facility that allows you to craft all types of ammo but not only that, with a level 3 Workshop plus Armory, you can craft 4 Ammo all the time.
    3. Meagher Valley
Yes, this is for me, your go-to Lethal Zone map. But feel free to try other maps too. The Squelones Brewery is your final base that you can totally ignore Whitney Field. Farming influence will help you kick start your supplies and needs to kill all the plague hearts in the Lethal Zone.
    Lastly...
Guns will kill you outside your base.
No matter how good is your silencer, those Zombies WILL HEAR YOU! NO MATTER WHAT! Only the crossbows and pyrolaunchers are the only exemption. Pyro lauchers instakills group of zombies at the least. But regardless, you want your base to be noisy. Why? Siege will grant you 200 influence (270 with satellite hacking) and free plague samples all the time! Thats what the 4 50 cal. Weapons are for. Those blood ferals and "Fuckernauts" wont stand a chance! You can always get some in the ammo trader.
P.S. Dont let your community member have a Pyrolauncher equipped during sieges. I learned it the hardest way possible.
So enjoy! Good luck, have fun!! Y'ALL GONNA NEED IT!!!

Light encumbrance! This has to be top 5. Run longer and with marathon, run forever. Get the ultra-light backpack, light weapons and escaping is easier. I'm actually glad that undead labs have been on top of this gane with updates and seasonal content like Halloween, Christmas & so on.
Update 33 I think it's called, ups the difficulty a bit more with the addition of dormant plague hearts and possible sieges if they go unchecked when they're woken up.
Early in the game the biggest mistake we made was taking on mission near those dormant plague hearts & now in our server we're dealing with two plague hearts that have been woken from their slumber and now we have hordes setting up infestations near our base. Prepping a ton of fire bombs to take out the plague hearts that have woken up.

I recently learn that a loud n stealth strat is the best when playing coop
Just perfect for quick runs for some rucksacks. Have a non-host drive the car infront of the building you want to loot and have him honk, maybe shoot from the roof of said car. Meanwhile the host goes around back and loots.
Works for a getaway too. You simply honk at zombies that have your full of trauma friend stuck on a roof and lead them away while they just run the other way. Then you speed up and catch your friend on the way.

Never bring a follower you need or care about,(i call them "cannonfodder") they have improved the npcs behavour, but it is far from good, (better to go solo) only use "grapple" finisher when there is only 1 or 2, since it tends to fail about 7 times out of 10 (on PC) i always use silencer (unless i have the 50 cal cannon, then i dont care... realy, i dont.)
builder legacy is realy good, you get the snipertower witch is realy good at taking down juggernaut (far better than the sniper allies provide). Trader legacy is also good choice at higher difficulties when things are harder to find

Not many people seem to know that you can use cars to block entrances to your gates, so you can control the siege and make chokepoints. Just do keep in mind that Zeds can still climb over fences and cars, Jugs can smash cars away and when you reload the game, there's good chance cars will be slightly moved
eseted, so check out and park them back on entrance.

  • @thefunnygermanguy4661
    @thefunnygermanguy4661 3 роки тому +1

Tips for basic combat: CC; Use your environment and get up somewhere if needed, use windows to train, and fences to swap weapons and make distance. If you execute a jugg use the time you have riding him and get guns, heals, and organize. PvE; when fighting survivors on higher difficulty levels, use your car, not to run them over, but rather as a shield. Simply couch behind it, align with a enemy, wait for them to shoot or reload, then get easy headshots. Freaks; For ferals, use shotguns and blunt weapons, to stun and keep them at Bay, always be ready to dodge. Windows help separate them from the packs, since they are speedy and usually go in one at a time. Juggs are easy, use bladed weapons, full auto guns, STRONK GUNS, and shotguns, run circles when they charge, go for the head, and hit them from behind for Max damage and safety. Bloaters are walking gas container, keep distance, shoot them, or get somewhat close, then run away so they trip and fall like the parasites they are. And screamers...just knock them over so they can't scream. You can also make them pets if you want, since they can't attack. Plague hearts; use boom booms, heavy weapons (melee), full autos, shottys, and STRONK GUNS.

Little tips about when you 1v3 against Zeds with melee weapon and ''no'' dash : hit 1 zombie, change target, hit an other one, change target, hit the other one, and on and on until they die.

On a fresh lethal run when rolling characters, I think it's important that you should try and aim for characters whose traits will give important hero skills, and avoid wasting resources.
Here's my first lethal run for a showcase of how things went when I favored traits with good hero skills.
I rolled my characters in my first run to have two with 100% infection resistance hero skill (no other trait had hero skills attached to them, practically guaranteeing them), one from the good habits trait giving him a total 250% resistance total. My third survivor who was my unbreakable survivor had the trait ran a bed and breakfast skill, and got cooking skill and the meal plan (25% food reduction) hero skill from it. Thus with rationings 50% reduction, I only had to pay .5 food per person throughout the game almost immediately. Furthermore, (and this was pure luck) my one survivor who had no real good bonus other than the 100% infection resistance hero skill (gotten from the undertaker trait), managed to randomly roll the never been sick before trait, now having 300% infection resistance. Plus none of my starting three characters have any traits that make them waste resources for moral boosts, so those annoying events never pop up.
It's absurd. Gave the two infection resistance members endurance and marathon, and they just go sprinting through the blood plague territory, with no stamina or health items, just some fuel bombs/molotovs (at the squelones brewery with a fuel loader giving 12 per 4 fuel, so I can just spam), firecrackers, and a light gun. blood ferals show up in a pack, and I just dump fire on them, and shoot them while their rolling around, or run away.
Managed to find a beetle mallet and biochem station before I even destroyed my first plague heart, so my unbreakable character now has power house and striking, and he pops a scentblock and stamina regen item, throws a boombox/firework, and just wails on the plague hearts till it's dead. I also got a stabilizing foam mod, and often times rather than wasting medical supplies, I just use that on him to top up his health if it's dropped, since he has an absurd health pool (198) and no chance of injuries. He's basically nigh unkillable with the community 200% plague resistance, and can easily dispatch blood ferals with drop kick.
So far I've only used a plague cure once, and that was before my characters had leveled up to hero and got the plague resistance bonus.

On lethal the biggest challenge is the plague hearts. I’ve found the 5 round 50 cal is the most important tool in taking down the absurd amount of them around the map. Park your truck a good bit away. Usually takes about 15 shots to kill the heart. Then use energy drinks if needed to outrun any hoards or ferals to get back to your truck. If one follows you hop on the truck and take it out. Leave and come back in a bit to get the loot. Produce ammo as much as you can to make 50 cals. Chemicals seem to be a lot more common now which is nice.

The best tip is that you can store rucksacks in your REGULAR storage by using the enclave member trade interface.
When you hover over the rucksack, you’ll see “unequip” below, press that and it’ll go to your inventory, allowing you to store them normally without car banks.

Great tips I play on lethal and I do most of this stuff as an everyday thing. But I did not know about you people becoming heros and that spawns feral hoards and other infected. Also I recommend giving all you characters at home base the best high damage guns you can find the timberwolf and other 50 cal weapons are the only way you can take on massive sieges if you base makes alot of noise.

When I first started playing the game I avoided using snacks, energy drinks, etc. as they use an inventory slot. However, I just recently started using snack bags and I regret not using them before hand. I'm coming out of fights on top and leaving POIs with an inventory and trunk full of loot and rucksacks. For any newcomers, don't underestimate your resources, use what you have especially in the right situations.

Hey another tip on some survivors you can get the aim snap ability if you get stuck in a horde and you have a fast shooting gun spam the aim snap ability and whichever button it is to shoot depending on what you play on this will lock on a random enemy's head usually the closest and it does take stamina of cours this is very helpful on ferals because all you need is 1 headshot

Here is also a tip: If you have Daybreak, when you wanna recruit an operator, look for a horde or a juggernaut and bring them close but not near the meeting location (make sure the zombies are in the way of the nearest map leaving zone with the door icon as the operator will go there after) and if you don't like the operator, decline them, get your refund and lead the zombies to them. You can use the horn of a car for good measure. Then loot their corpse and they will always have a red talon weapon and a red talon backpack which is the best in the game.

    Best combo on lethal
    Marathon
    Stealth
    Close combat
    Gunslinging.
This saves a lot on resources.
If you have a ultra light back back
    And light cross bow
Means you can sti usually carry a decent amount and run without stamina drain.
    If you are over whelmed
Jump over a fence then duck and run.
Your stamina will still. Incrrase with marathon (or not deplete) when you are stealth running.
Usually you can get away before the zeds can know when you've gone.
I ninja entire hordes with just the knife.
Your knife never breaks so you can always do the CC take down.
The only real bugger is ferrals.
You can Snap to aim with your cross bow...
Stand on the top of a car etc
Even when you run low on bolts you can usuay pick them up after a large horde battle.
    Use boaters to your advantage.
Head shot them and throw a roll of crackers for a cheap explosion.
A lot of plague hearts you can cheese.
I've taken them down before by shooting through a window with a hunting cross bow... Takes about 80 bolts.
In lethal equip an enteral guard with break it takes about 80 shots to take down a heart... And can do so before it burps.
The best op eapon for clearing out infestations is the pyro launcher and the simple. Molatovs.
Again I've taken down entire neighbourhoods of infestations in lethal with just a knife and molatovs and a cross bow bolt to break a window.

    1) Locate the plague hearts from outside then take it out from the top of a vehicle using automatic fire weapons. This will protect you from all zombies except bloaters and juggernauts.
    2) Take out packs from the top of vehicles. See #1
    3) Have fire in your inventory. Firebombs are the best.
    4) Have first aid kits and stimulants as well as plague cure.
    5) Avoid night ops on lethal setting if you can.

I had a red talon soldier, I had woken up some plauge hearts, so I decided to go take them down, and do a few other missions in the process, one plauge heart had a ransacker's base nearby, so I popped them, I cheesed the second by blocking the door, the third a little harder, the fourth I had a mission to help kill one, now I had a chance to resupply after killing that fourth one, making a nearby outpost, and I did, I had made thousands of plauge cures, but I decided to fill my inventory with explosives and stamina items, full inventory, I drove over to the nearby plauge heart, attacked it a bit, got hit a few times, but then I finished it off, but not without getting the plauge, I realised I forgot to grab cures, I dashed back to my car, but then a mixture of a curveball that made my car slow to start and three blood ferals, my car got blown, out of stamina items, no plauge cure, deep in plauge territory, fatigued, and no nearby outpost in sight, wiht the only outpost I could make costing too much influence, no amount of running could save me, the moral of the story? Never overextended, when you have the chance to switch characters and resupply, take your time, and always carry plauge cures, RIP Ally, you were a real one...

my tips just playing daybreak with your friend, that thing will teach you in hard way but will increase your combat capability very drastically. also, you can earn prestige to buy cleo weapon Note here: Cleo weapon and red talon weapon are different, Cleo weapon are exclusive if you buy it in prestige trader or by Cleo drop at red talon fob (and must be unlock in daybreak). and red talon weapon you can buy it at red talon trader. all Cleo weapons use 1 type of ammo, and red talon weapon use ammo that is same as normal weapon. so that make sense why we can't make Cleo ammo at red talon workshop

Grab and shove is a good tactic but if you have swordplay i'd prefer sweeping their legs, it's more efficient and they stay down. Also, one tip I've used since day 1 when this game came out is Stealth and Gunslinging can be used for just about every situation. Especially with Blood Ferals, gunslinging can't get enough praise.

Get on top of your car. There are plenty of times that I'm pressed by a horde, and I just run back and get on my car. Some, zombies can hit you from the side, but trucks are the best in this case. You can hop up top and if you are close to the back, access the trunk. Then, just clear the zombies off with your silenced weapon or hop off and clear a few then get back on.
Works for most plague hearts as well. Find the heart, park outside the building, hop on top and open fire and use grenades/molotovs. No threat, dead heart, move on.
