Got married on the feast day of St. Xenia (Feb. 06). In a way, she is a patron of our family. It wasn't planned (by us), but someone above surely had a hand in that.

I think it's referencing this event from the Bible when the Prophet Elisha (Elijah's friend) was mocked.

It is also a unlawful to work on the sabbath, but sometimes for the sake of righteousness there are higher purposes than the law. St. Xenia is not the only female saint who took on masculine roles at times for the cause of Christ.
Saint Xenia... The trans-non-sexual? I don't even know how to call that... She dressed as a man, without sexual intentions and only holy intentions in mind... Also is walking barefoot all time just for fun drawing or a real thing?

The question on weather she was always barefooted is a real one I would ask even outside of a joke... It could be that he drew that for the simple fact to make it look light-hearted, but might be something important in the life of that saint... Despite this I said even that as a joke xD
