Xenia lived most of her life in eighteenth-century Russia as a homeless fool-for-Christ and displayed remarkable spiritual gifts including clairvoyance. At first, some of the people of St. Petersburg mocked and ridiculed her as a homeless vagabond. Xenia bore this with patience and eventually, they began to realize her spiritual gifts and connection with God despite her attempts to hide her asceticism.

After our wedding, my husband told me that he was so thankful to St. Xenia for answering his prayers asking for a wife. We named our 1st daughter Xenia and we've been married for 36 years now. Glory be to God and all His Saints.
Prayed the Akathist to St. Xenia to get me out of unemployment. I then got hired for the first job I applied for and my first workday was her feastday on February 6. God is wondrous in his Saints!

I am a Catholic who is very interested in the Orthodox rich tradition and sacred art. I naturally consider with deep respect the Orthodox saints because they are lights onto the world for all Christians.
I do sincerely believe they are a blessed link between separated brothers and work with the Catholic saints for our full communion under the Lord. Because in Heaven they are together in perfect fraternity and they care for us.
Before 1054 we were one Church and I know unity will be restored by God. Praying is what we must do.
Her story shows that tragedy and deep sadness can be turned in to a powerful and heartfelt relationship with God. For some reason, I "felt" this story more than others I have seen/read for some reason and now want to know more about her. Thank you.

I call the food portion Labre's Lunches (after Benedict Labre) and I hope to one day have a brick and mortar on the south side and have a by donation only store of body care, clothing, food, small appliances, pet care, furniture to furnish an apt after getting off the street, etc. And that store is called Zero Sum Xenia's.
Venerable St Xenia, I ask you to aid me in my mission of charity, compassion, and parenthood of those seeking to restart their lives down here. Please help me ask God for decernment, faith, patience, and perserverence. Holy Spirit continue to work your power through my vessel. I adore you and thank you ever so much for allowing me to see some of the miracles you cause. I have personally been healed miraculously of multiple ways, now I beg thee to help me stay on the path of repaying that grace towards other men. I'm now in a homeless hostel surrounded by people with "issues". God is certainly putting me in uncomfortable situations. But I'm going to church more. Praying more. It's strengthening my faith. So All Glory to God!

A quick check and it could have been discovered that in Russian the accent in Xenia is on the first syllable.
We were aware of that. It is also pronounced that way in Greek. But we chose to pronounce her name in the ancient Greek way.
Trisagion Films your US accent sounds not at all Russian, Greek or Ancient Greek & that was an ungracious answer.
Hve visited her shrine & chapel having spent a lot of time in St Pburg. People go for healing, I caught a cold there on a typical rainy St Pburg day.
