  • Sorry for the shakiness. Converted my 3d printer into a makeshift cnc router, I use a Arduino Uno with a CNC shield. I made a support for the spindel so it wouldn't flex so much since this machine was never ment for this sort of things. I am running GRBL Panel to controll the router, used HSMWorks to generate g code toolpath.

    @cold_fox89, so how is this holding up? Does the steel frame hold up to the torquing? Are you able to mill aluminum?

      +Wing Wong This CNC configuration was just a one time thing when I needed a custom motor mount for my rc car I was building, It cut aluminium but at a slow feed and low cuts, not something I would want to do again. I have now made a new CNC mill on another P3Steel frame which is far stronger and stiffer, here are some pictures (still need to buy a better spindle). imgur.com/a/gHW5a No electronics in the pictures but I use a Arduino UNO with a CNC shield.
