No one can deny that a population on the level of society also builds character of the young. Look at countries like Japan and South Korea for eg. They had their own mini "religion" of sorts which was actually a code of conduct which was taught to the kids in schools(i am forgetting what it was called). It helped the youth tremendously and it reflected in the success of the entire nation. Such systems if in place take tremendous pressure off the parents shoulders and less pressure means less possibility of parents taking wrong decisions. On the other hand with the rise of single parenthood in the US the crimes rose. It was because all the pressure of raising a person was on one single person which meant more chances of adverse effect on the child due to the wrong decision of one parent. Do you think that all the single parents were taking their duties lightly? No...just the environment is such that kids are attracted towards crime and they are less likely to listen to their parents. Take a moment and read this before you comment again if you do.
True. I have nieces and nephews. Parents are all full time workers. I witness the differences between kids monitored by parents and not. Starting with cursing. I would see it as more intelligent if he actually answered the questions. There is no trap unless what they are doing is terrible. Am I wrong? As an example: My father got mad at me for asking him if I could live with him for a month. Because if he says no then that is a socially unacceptable answer, and there will be some sort of social punishment from such actions. Now he do not want me to live with him, so he feels like that my question is some sort of trap, because of his socially unacceptable answer then he is trapped between a rock and a hard place. Should we feel like such a question is a trap? No! It is his fault for acting in a way that the wider society feels like is socially unacceptable. Now the guy in the movie, he is a lawyer and he answers like a lawyer. Where is the intelligence???
@Taiwan is a country they could definitely twist his words and make it seem like he has done something wrong. Parents hardly monitor their children at all anymore.
The real problem is that you cannot realistically monitor your child's internet usage 100% of the time anymore. even if you dont give your child a phone at an early age, you know they have a friend at school who shares content with them from their phone. you have no control over what your child sees in these sort of instances. the internet is so prevalent, your kids will find out about it one way or another. I was born in 96, I'm basically gen z. I grew up using the internet, so I know what im talking about. The fact that I can't control what my children grow up seeing makes me terrified to have kids.

While parents should monitor their children on social media, it isn’t always easy and often parents don’t understand how to. As an example, in most case’s I’ve learned that taking your kids phone to see what they were looking at is usually going to give them issues trusting you. So using a shared account that lets you see what they do can be more useful as well as monitoring the time spent on the social media. Well that is not entirely true...if the whole world around you is consuming such content it becomes increasingly difficult to discipline your child without it seeming restrictive to the kid...especially at a time where "everything is everyone else's fault" and you are always a "victim". Fast food before was consumed by much less people or food not prepared at home either. Now no one bats an eye when ALL of us know it is not good. As a parent, we can't expect these apps to filter content for our kids. It's not their job.
one of the most intelligent comments on this comment section
Imagine being a parent and defending the app that is littered with pedophiles. It is a parents responsibility to monitor their kids. With that comes recognizing an app that is doing harm across an entire generation and supporting removing said app, not simply accepting the excuse that it's not TikToks fault they exposed your child to pedophiles
@spacificnocean8534 Imagine a parent who spend so little time with their kids that they just hand over technology and expect it to get the job done. Kids will be fine not having these apps on their phones. Most adults right now grew up without technology, and there's more kids than you think who don't engage in all the technological online trends.

That is fantastic preparation. I won’t argue about whether or not I like the man or the company but one thing is for sure he is well composed, well prepared, well spoken, and highly intelligent. That is a very difficult question to answer because it is obviously a trap waiting to be pounced on and he still managed to step around the landlines with ease, something that clearly was not expected.
I would see it as more intelligent if he actually answered the questions.
There is no trap unless what they are doing is terrible. Am I wrong?
As an example:
My father got mad at me for asking him if I could live with him for a month.
Where is the intelligence???
he has prewritten responses that he memorized.
@Taiwan is a country they could definitely twist his words and make it seem like he has done something wrong. It's intelligent that he is able to answer the question without getting into some controversy because of a mistake of words
Edit: it's not a movie, nor is your example taking in the big picture. What if the dad can't afford to pay another person worth of food or what if the living conditions are bad. Look at the circumstances first, and then you can judge whether they did something socially unacceptable
I mean like bro, he’s the CEO of tiktok, aint no way he’s gonna even sweat when being questioned
I mean think of this guy what you want but the fact that he does not even have to think for one second before he answers is kind of impressive
He was probably prepped on these kinds of questions beforehand (just realistically speaking. It would be stupid to not do that and he’s not stupid. Neither is TikTok as a company)
If they asked an unexpected question that the company haven’t thought of at all, ever (highly unlikely) he would probably have to think for at least a moment
Not just intelligence and confidence, but he also started the company from scratch so the answer is supposed to be that way
I wish I had this much training when getting asked questions

What the question was supposed to be is .. does a device using TikTok allow the app to see all traffic on the wifi. The answer is yes including all passwords used on devices on the wifi network
@Ken Stoltzfus plaintext passwords should never be sent to any website, and everything except the name resolution of the website should be encrypted. Anything else happening is due to unsecure or badly built websites, which most browsers warn you off anyway.
The only things TikTok could (they don't have permissions enabled for it anyway) see of your internet traffic are the names of the website you visit. Literally nothing else, not even which pages on a website you visit, only the name
